Jack's field trip

Jack's class field trip.  I was blessed to be able to go and drive some very sweet kids.

Jack Milking the cow!

Love this cute picture!

Jack loved holding the kitten!

Ben's dad asking Jack questions and videoing him.  He held his little camera in his hand like this.  He said the videos turn out good.  Amazing!

Jack holding the chick

Now it's the bunny's turn to be held!

So cute the way this baby goat climbed on his mommy.  When he got down he used the other baby goat for a step. Ha Ha....he was pretty silly!

The kids were given a cup of food for the goats.  They were told to hold them down by their tummy.

Here come the goats....there were lots of them as you will see  below!

The kids loved it.

Thought these were so cute!

This is the group the guy opened the gate for so they could run to the food the kids had.

Jack thought and Caleb thought it was pretty funny that this calf was licking Jack.

Time for the hayride.  So much fun!  We adults got to sit on bales of hay in the middle and the kids sat on the floor.

The pigs ran toward the wagon!  They were pretty big.

Our tractor driver stopped to get this mama duck and her babies so we could see them.

These cows were a big hit.  They wanted to milk them again before we left.

When I got done with the field trip I went to Vikki's.  Evan loved the sprinkler.

Peyton, Evan, and Isaac had lots of fun in the sprinkler.

One, Two, Three here they come.

Love the smiles!

Peyton and Evan!  Isaac wouldn't get in the picture because he went down the slide and hurt his bottom.  Poor boy!

After the kids played in the sprinkler, I left and went home. I planted some spinach seeds and some beets in the garden, because I had forgot to get them.  I was pretty tired so took a nap which felt very good.  Then I made spaghetti and we ate dinner.  We headed to Vikki's afterward.  She and the kids rode bikes to visit Matt at SVSU.  They got home a couple of minutes after we got to their house.  Vikki looked pretty tired, Kenzie so so, and Peyton and Isaac looked very refreshed.  I wonder why.  Bill tilled the garden a second time and Vikki and I went and got seeds, plants, a hoe, and stakes while Papa watched the kiddos.  They were smiling and all sitting on the front porch swing when we got back.  I got Peyton and Isaac ready for bed and read their Bible to them.  We prayed and then they brushed their teeth and I tucked them in.  I went out and helped Vikki and Bill plant the garden.  We had fun.  Vikki followed us home to get one more section of fencing for the last side of the garden.  It looks very nice.

Jacob lighting his candles.  He would do great and then when he would blow out the match, he would blow out lots of candles.  So cute and funny.

The candles are lit and we are singing!

He sure knows how to blow out the candles...Looks like he has lots of help from his cute brothers.

This 10 year old is so special to our hearts!

Time to open his present!  Adam was being silly as you can see!

Love this picture!

They have been well trained to read the card first!  So sweet.
The papers are flying and the gift is coming out.

Jacob looks so handsome in his shirt!

He stared putting his legos together right away.

Didn't take him long and he had it mostly built

This is what I found in the woods while planting the plants Kimmy and Jared gave me.  There are two like this.  Beautiful.

The garden is planted and the fence is up.  Now Bill and I are cleaning up and heading to Jacob's party.  My pictures are out of order.

The garden from the other view.
Isaac with Mother Goose.  This was a cute shop we went into while we were looking for the yarn shop.

Jacob getting ready to light his candles!

Got up at 6 to wake Kenzie up.  Got ready to go to Sports Zone while she got ready for school.  After she left, I headed over to Sports Zone.  Bill, Charlie, Tony and and another guy were playing Euchre there.  They had already walked.  I walked 3 miles at a fast pace, then left for home.  Called Vikki to see if she wanted to go to the yarn shop in Bay City to spend a gift certificate I got at an auction and get yarn for her to knit slippers for Hannah's shower gift Saturday.  We got there and parked in back and walked to the front.  The store we went in was so cute and had unique stuff in it.  It was not the yarn store though, but at the back the lady showed me the door to get there.  So funny because it was really close to where we parked.  After we got the yarn, we decided to walk the rail trail along the river.  It was so nice other than all the goose poop all over.  We had to really try not to step in it.  We walked 2 1/2 miles and then went to the playground and had a granola bar while the kids played.  We left and went to Subway to eat and then to two thrift stores looking for a hoe for Vikki.  Got home and Bill and I planted the garden and put the fence around it.  We came in and I washed up and Bill took a shower.  Then we headed over to Kimmy and Jared's to celebrate Jacob's 10th birthday.  He is such a sweet and caring grandson.  Thanking God for him today and celebrating the gift from God he is.  So much fun at his party.  We did lots of walking through the woods and around the farm.  Vikki and I are in a competition today...ha ha.  I am pooped out from all these steps today.  We ate burgers and hot dogs that Jared grilled and they were very yummy.  Then we walked some more and then came in and had cake and ice cream. It was delicious white cake that we all loved.  We went outside and walked some more and then we went out on the deck and Jacob opened his present.  It was mine craft legos and he had them almost all put together by the time we left.  The boys were all lots of fun and gave great hugs...but Jacob's hug was the longest!  Happy Birthday to my Boy!
