June 21, 1973

Our last stop was at this Dairy Queen for ice cream.  Wes and Gayla were too busy eating and wouldn't look up.
Bill and Wes leaving the rest area and heading for the bikes.  We came home from London, KY today.
I took a close up too as I needed some pictures after riding all day,

Happy to be back home with family....after a week in Beautiful Georgia!  There's no place like home though.

It was so nice when we got home to have Vikki, Peyton, Isaac, Melissa, Bruce, and Hailey stop over.  Vikki brought us some delicious chicken so we got to eat and not cook after that long trip.  Thank you so much Vikki.  We sat and visited and the kids played and jumped on the trampoline.  Hailey does great on it was was doing flips and landing on her feet.  Would have put a video on if I knew how.  Melissa's boys were at VBS at Hopevale.  Made the three kids here ice cream cones as Melissa and Bruce said they would take Hailey for ice cream and they ran out of time after visiting.  I had just 3 cones left too.  Can't wait to see Kimmy and the boys tomorrow.  Bill got a basketball from Vikki and family and really bright LED headlamps from Melissa and family.  Nice surprise....Kenzie drove over to see us after she got out of work at 9:35 p.m.

Got up and went to the CMA service this morning. Great worship againand then amazing message.

Dad relaxing!
See how close we are to the water!

Stopped and took this while on our ride.
Waited by here when raining!
Our restaurant is through the tunnel!

This was our view while we ate outside!

Shopping on fairgrounds!
We ate breakfast at The Georgia Mountain restaurant.  Then we rode to the meeting.  After that, we walked through the concessions on the fairgrounds. Then we rode to Helens,GA through the mountains.  It was beautiful with many curves and it was very steep at times.  We got there and it was a lot like Frankenmuth.  We ate at the nice restaurant in the picture and watched all the people tubing.  The restaurant had huge portions so dad and I split a BLT and salad and so did Wes and Gayla.  Had Ice cream too.  There was a long downpour while there so we went in shops. On the way home we got caught in some rain so stopped and put on our rain suits.  We were almost out of the mountains and it didn't last for long so that was good.  We wondered about our campers becaus we left windows open but no rain.  Thank You Lord!   For dinner we went with a bunch of other couples back to the Georgia mountain Restaurant.  We had the buffet!  Stopped at a store for sausage, juice and ice for our pancake breakfast Wes is making tomorrow.  Went back to the evening service!

Started Heading home from GA at 7 am.  Went through the Smokies and stopped in Pigeon Forge
My blog has to be read from the bottom up to be in order. Ha Ha.  I'm not too good using my phone. We were getting ready to go to bed and when Bill went in the bathroom the ceiling was leaking really bad.  Waiting to see what they're doing!  They just moved us from our beautiful room I showed you girls on FaceTime to a regular room at 11:54 P.M. We were in Georgia, N. Carolina. Tennessee and Kentucky today.  Lots of riding in the Smokies!
Here's a far away picture!
Loved how this was painted on the building!
When we got to Kentucky we stopped at this welcome center!

Wanted to see if Max saw this alligator when he was here! This looked cool. Pigeon Forge was such an amazing city.  Sure had a lot of attractions.  Panning for gold, upside down house, etc.

By the old watermill

Blacksmith demonstration.  They let this little guy help.  See how red hot the thing he is pounding is.

Two handsome fellows waiting for their sweet wives!

Bill looking at mugs
Nice mugs!

Pottery in back room that is unfinished.

Pottery store we were in.  She explained how she made it.

Bill at Pigeon Forge!  Melissa and her family went to Pigeon Forge on their recent vacation!  Nice to see the places they went!
Bill and his puppet!

Creepy snake!  The were all dead by the way!
Bill and his foxy friend!  We stopped at a National Park a mile before Gatlenburg.
Sure had fun in our camper!  Every morning several roosters would wake us up starting at around 4:30 a.m.

Wes and Gayla

Wes and Bill when we stopped at a scenic view spot in the Smokiey Mts. Couldn't see very far but it sure was beautiful!

Beautiful Smoky Mountains...as dad says they were very smoky this day.

Gayla, Bill and Wes
This is the fairgrounds across the street from the state fairground.  There is a campground on the fairgrounds too and a beautiful lake.
Our camper is up past the campers you see on the hill...we are down the hill.

Each missionary that partners with CMA got a check like this one!  This was a very moving service to hear everything that these pastors who are missionaries are doing.  Great to be a part of CMA and what they do.
