9/6/15 Happy Birthday to our big 4 year olds, Peyton and Isaac!HIllusionist, bike ride for ice cream in Elton, and talent show today

Happy Birthday to Peyton and Isaac!  Love this picture.  Pretty cake too!

Our miracles.  We are so thankful to God for giving us these sweeties and protecting them when they were born early.  They are wonderful gifts from the Lord.

Face timed Pey Pey and Isaac today to sing happy birthday to them.  We had just gotten out of church so I didn't think about the time so they were still in church.  Face timed afterward and they were so cute and so excited about their birthday.  Sure love these miracle kiddos.  Thank you Jesus!

Vikki messaged me this because it was in the church bulletins but we weren't there to see it.  Thanks Vikki

This illusionist and his wife made it clear he had no magic powers, but just did  illusions. He gave many testimonies of what God did in his life.  He would call people up from the audience and they did amazing.  Kids were so cute and did amazing too.  He threw a foam brick in the audience and the person could choose to go up or throw to someone else.  One man pointed to her husband and so he called the husband up instead.  He did amazing illusions.Travels with Kris Tomlin lots.

He and his wife

This was pretty funny  He stood back to back with this CMA guy and told him to pick out any page in the book he had memorized and he would say what it said.  He was funny because he then had his wife hand him the same book and the other guy didn't know.  But the amazing thing is that when he showed us his pages we thought he was reading from....they were blank

This little guy was the cutest ever!

Pretty brave to let him stick that sword through

Allison got to go up to help him out too.

Fran sang in the talent show.  She sang a medley of all the patriotic songs of our country.  We were all praising lifting our hands and praising God.  Very moving

We all played 3-13 afterward.  I was the winner tonight.  A young family with 5 kids came in and stood around for a while.  The kids were all young 8 down to 15 months.  They were so well behaved it was amazing.  I went up to the mom to tell her what a beautiful family she had and then the one little 8 yr old boy came over to watch me play cards.  When I was winning I gave him a high five and then a down low one where he missed.  We did it for a while and I let him win.  Then his little sister asked if she could.  Well when I did down low she hit the table accidentally.  She went away crying.  I gave her brother a dollar to give her and told him to give it and a hug to her from me.  She was back thanking me in no time.  Then when I saw how sweet he was to his sister I gave him a dollar too.  Another sister looked my way so I had one more dollar in my pocket so I gave it to her.  The other  two were little enough they didn't care. Good thing because I only had the 3 in my pocket.  The parents came and talked with us after that.

Love this picture Vikki put on of the birthday girl and her big sister.

9/4/15. Not as much rain today which we are thankful for

Bill Sabrina, Katelyn, Rocco and kids
Our campers and Rocco's tent.  Bill and Sabrina and family borrowed them for the Rally.

Wes and Gayla
Our card buddies and camping buddies

Ran to the store to get a battery for the smoke detector, buns and cookies for the snack room.   Had one big downpour and then it got nice.  Dad and Wes spent the day showing people where to park.  Because of the soft ground it is a real challenge for them to find ground that's hard enough that these big RVs don't get stuck. Our camp director is so nice.  He is giving us and Wes and Gayla free camping and a meal ticket for all of our meals free at the cafeteria because our guys are helping. Tonight we had yummy chicken. At 10 this morning we all went and helped unload the goodie trailer. Cohen we unpacked and put out all of the shirts and all the other stuff.  Tons of stuff.  I bought one shirt and a cool fan.  Gayla and I helped straighten shirts after someone would unfold it to look at it.  We set up our motorcycle camper for Bill and Sabrina to use and their daughter used Wes and Gaylas.  They gave us a $25 Mooney gift certificate for letting them use it for the past 4 rallies.  We told them we were happy to have them use it and not to do that again.  Ride in the god cart with Bill a few times, then with Gayla in Wes's.  We played cards in our camper.  Gayla and I each won a game.  The train is here. Thinking of Max, Jack, Evan and Hailey who love it when the train comes. Missing my other camping buddies and Kimmy and her family too.  Thinking of all of you.  Somebody has a birthday tomorrow!!!

9/1/15. Packing to go home

You

I made egg sandwiches for breakfast.  Then we started packing things. Isaac helped carry wood for Papa and was a big help.  Vikki got packed pretty quickly.  She and the kids went swimming while dad and I did ore packing and getting the camper ready to go.  It was very hot out so I was happy to go swim with them.  The water was great and it was fun letting the kids practice as they call it. They have become amazing little swimmers for 3 year olds.  We got ready to go back and change our clothes and when we got there Bill was all ready to go swimming.  He went to jump on and we changed as we were meeting him to golf.   We had a fun golf game.  Isaac stuck with it and is a pretty serious golfer.   We went back and did the last minute stuff and headed for home.  Sure will miss camping and my camping buddies.  Went to get our tabs for our license plates when we got home. Also went to look at a mattress dad wanted to see.  I didn't want a new one because I loved our other one but he says there's a dip on his side.  This one was a pillow top from Godwins. They payed $1600 for it and dad got it for $200.  Dad talked to the wife on the phone and when we got there her husband was there.  We got to talking and told him about camping at Bayshore and ended up finding out he was the pastor of a church here and also was pastor of the Gap at college that Matthew goes to.  He knew all the kids from our church and also Todd Witsitt is his neighbor.  He has a three year old boy and a baby coming any time now. He had a meeting so dad and I went to eat at Outback. Got the trailer and went back to get the mattress. He helped dad carry it to the trailer.  Dad and I had talked it over and gave him a little more money for the mattress.  Dad cut grass when we got home and I picked up some groceries.

9/3/15. Arrived at BayShore Camp

In
We arrived and got set up before the down pour praise the Lord.  Dad and Wes rode on golf carts helping people find their sites.  They had the bigger RV s set up in the parking lot because of soggy ground.  A cement truck drove over drainage pipes and collapsed them so that is why all the water.  Theywill fix them once the new building is up.
Very blessed today by our son in laws.  I had told Melissa I would pick up an over the campfire grill for her when I was in Standish, then totally forgot til she asked me about it today.  We were heading up to BayShore for our State Rally so I would have had to take the truck and go all the way to Pinconning to get it, then take it to Melissa, then drive all the way back to Sebewaing. Lots of time and lots of gas with the truck!  Jared was such a blessing an went to get it for me on his lunch hour.  Then Bruce picked it up from  Jared's work.  Because Midland got 4 '
Of rain, Bruce had to go to his workplace too. Dad forgot to bring The FaithRiders Banner up so on his way home, he checked to make sure our electricity was on and got the banner and took it to his house so Bill and Sabrina could pick it up and bring it here. Thank you God that we are so blessed with our wonderful son in laws, and thank you Jared and Bruce for being so kind!
We went to Wes and Gayla' fo coffee and homemade raspberry pie.  Yummy! Played 3-13.  Wes won the first game and Gayla won the second

9/2/15 Time to pick the garden and can tomatoes

Picked all this corn today!  Second picking too!

Picked all these tomatoes too...above and below

Had some fun visitors today.  They put the train set together by themselves and played so good.

Isaac and Peyton with their school picture smiles ha ha

The end result of my tomatoes.  7 quarts of tomato juice and 9 quarts of whole tomatoes.  Almost time for chili now.

Got up early to pick the garden.  Got lots of beets which I took to church to give to Roy and Marie.  Went to the Post Office and mailed Angie's cell charger.  Came home and  did tomatoes.  Called Vikki and told her to come pick up some corn.  She came in the door and said Peyton was crying because she thought we were going  camping again and we weren't.  She and Isaac had fun playing with the train.  We went to Sullivan's for dinner and then had our officer's meeting there.  Afterward I stopped at Melissa's and dropped off corn for her.  The kids gave me hugs and were excited about school.  Evan was already in bed.  Melissa sure reminded me of Kimmy tonight.  Made some corrections on the Newsletter so dad can send it out.

8/31/15 our last ice cream run in Standish

Isaac with the car he bought with his money.
Peyton excited because she gets to go buy something with her money at the store after ice cream
The are two well behaved and amazing campers.  It's our last day before going home.  We've had so much fun.  This is our last ice cream stop
Our camper on the left and our old fifth wheel on the right
Our camper in the back and our old camper in front.  Peyton by the firepit.
Vikki and Bill teaching Isaac to ride without training wheels

Nana and Peyton and Papa and Isaac by the firep
Me and Bill in the relax mode.
We slept in because we were tired from staying up late playing dice and cards.  We went to Shopko and Vikki got a really cheap swimming suit for Peyton that's adorable.  We went to the dollar store and Isaac bought a cool car with his money,  then we went to Tacey's for our last ice cream trip.  Left there and went to Dollar General so Peyton could shop. Cage found a cute Barbie like doll which said $3 on it.  She only had a couple of dollars so I was going to put some money in for it.  The lady rang it up and said out loud, a dollar fifty.  Vikki and I said at the same time and in the same tone, "a dollar fifty!"  So funny!  It was great because That was the price we wanted to find something for and now she didn't need extra money.  We came back to the campground and went swimming.  Vikki and Isaac went to ride the hayride but Peyton stayed with me. We went in the hot tub and swam lots more.  We came back to the camper and walked to the camp store.  When we got back Papa was here.  We ate pizza and sat around the fire.  Then we went swimming in the inside pool.  Peyton learned to float across the width of the pool.  She is so relaxed and does amazing.  We all got in the hot tub after and started talking with a couple of sweet girls who loved talking with Peyton and Isaac.  One of them Becka,
was from Tawas and knows Ashton and her family.  We showed her Freddy and Ashton's wedding pic because we couldn't remember her maiden name.  Came back and played dice with the twins then we adults played!  I won dice and Vikki won big time in cards.  We were happy that we got her out of being negative rift at the end though.  Such a fun day.  Isaac practiced learning how to ride his bike with out training wheels to.  Did great learning to balance.
