9/24/17...Went to church, picked up Mocha from Vikki's, made dinner, took a nap, unloaded most of the camper

Went to church.  Stacie was there and sat with us.  Vikki stayed home with Isaac because his asthma was acting up last night and he threw up.  Rody was doing sound at church.  Melissa and her family went to a Colonial Church service in Bay City.  After church, Bill went to Kroger's to use our 40 cents off per gallon and filled his truck and gas cans.  I took the car to Shields and got gas for $2.05.  It is $2.23 in Saginaw just a few miles away.  Went and got Mocha from Vikki's after that.  Vikki was at the Beach with Kenzie and the twins.  Rody showed me the pictures he took of Kevin and Vicki's grandson, Brett.  He sure took some great pictures.  Mocha was happy to see me.  They sure take good care of her.  Thank you so much Vikki.  I made spaghetti when I got home.  Brought all the food from the refrigerator in the camper into the house.  We ate and then both took a nap on the love seat.  After that, I brought more stuff in from the camper.

Didn't take any pictures today, so just putting some I got from Melissa and Vikki.  Kimmy didn't put any on and didn't answer the phone when I called.  I will have to put some of her boys on when I get some.

9/23/17...Packed up and left the campground, Ate at Bob Evans, Had a blowout on the camper tire, went to BayShore

This is the damage to the fifth wheel from the blowout.  YIKES!!!

This sweet couple serenaded us tonight while we ate.  They took requests and knew so many songs it was amazing.  Great playing and singing and so much fun for everyone.

Bill enjoying the song he requested (Jimmy Crack Corn).  He did request will you marry me Bill but that's one they didn't know

Louise enjoyed herself too and it was so much fun watching her sing along . They played a song that was sung at her wedding.

We were getting ready to leave and they had quite a group of great singers join them.

We got up and started packing.  We had planned to leave at 10:00, but were ready at 9:30. We drove as far as Kentwood and stopped at a Bob Evan's for breakfast.  We had pancakes, eggs, meat and potatoes.  I had their blueberry topping.  So delicious.  We got to Owosso and heard a funny sound and Bill could see we blew a tire on his side.  We stopped and looked and there was only a little tread hanging around the rim.  It did some damage to the camper. Bummer!  We saw a Firestone, but they were closed.  Then we were happy because we saw a Goodyear Store, but they were closed.  A policeman pulled up by us and told Bill about a Walmart and said to park somewhere and drive the truck there.  There was an art fair in town so there was nowhere to pull off.  We went to Walmart and they didn't have RV tires, but told us a half mile up the road was a tire store.  He called ahead for us to make sure they had the tires we needed.  They were really nice at the Tire place and had Bill back the camper in the shop so they could change the tires.  We got four new tires.  Got home and loaded the truck with stuff we needed from the camper.  Put the stuff away quickly and got ready.  We were supposed to pick Louise up at 4:15.  We started out for her place and I forgot the checkbook so had to turn around and go back to get it.  Good thing we were still on our road.  Called Louise to let her know we would be 10 minutes late and explained why.  We picked her up and headed to BayShore.  They had great orderves!  They also had a wonderful coffee bar where you could get as many cappuccinos, mochas, lattes, and smoothies as you wanted.  They also had an amazing dessert table.  I had a banana split cake.  YUM!  While we ate, a couple came around and sang songs and played their instruments.  They took requests too.  They were so nice and so talented.  We all had so much fun.

9/22/17...Spent another wonderful day with dear friends Vikki and Terry

They took us to a blueberry farm and market in Holland for blueberry and pumpkin donuts.  Cute playground in the background

Spent the day in Grand Haven

Walked through shops downtown

Went through this museum

Terry, Vikki and Bill on our walk.  Saw some amazing boats out on the water

We went to a huge greenhouse later by Allendale to see if there were any deals.  Bill really liked this buck for $600.  Wouldn't want it in my yard though.

Bill and I went to a custom spring factory.  They sent us to an office close by.  Bill was hoping to find springs he wants for our trike.  They said that's not the kind they make.  Headed back to the campground planning on golfing because Vikki was getting her hair cut.  She had called to tell us when we started out so we figured we would have lots of time.  She called just as we headed back to the campground and said they were on their way to get us.  They picked us up and we went to Bowerman's Blueberry Market.  We got blueberry donuts because Shani said we should go try some! They were delicious!  We also got some pumpkin donuts.  Those are the kind Bill loved. We sat at a picnic table outside and ate.  It was another beautiful day but in the 90's. We also got some blueberry syrup for pancakes and strawberry poppy seed dressing.  Terry got a church blueberry pie for us to have at their house later.  We dropped the donuts, pie and other stuff off at their house and spent some time there.  Walked around their yard and looked at all their plants. We headed to Grand Haven and walked through some stores,  We ran into a couple we saw in South Haven yesterday with a big dog eating outside in Grand Haven.  Their dog was some kind of wolf hound.  It was beautiful and a very friendly.  We talked to them a few minutes than walked by to shop.  When we got hungry, we walked to a restaurant called Twenty Below, that Vikki wanted us to try.  We walked back and that couple with the dog was still sitting there.  We got there at 2 and some ladies told us it had just closed and would open again at 5.  Vikki told them we were going to a different restaurant downtown and told them how to get there.  We walked back and the couple was still there.  Got to the other restaurant and it was closed for the season.  We decided since we were across the street we would walk back on this side because we didn't want to keep walking by them,.  They were gone this time.  We found a restaurant and had burgers.  Left there and walked down by the water.   The pier was closed because they are working on it.  We left and came to the campground because Mark and Marti from church had left Bill a message and we wanted to make sure they weren't waiting for us at the campground.  They weren't so we went and sat in the air conditioned camper and visited.  Went to a huge greenhouse to look for deals on plants.  We couldn't stand it for long because there were no fans or air conditioning, so we were roasting.  Headed back to their house to hang out.  Had the delicious pie.  We left at seven to start packing up the Clam and some other things.  We had a nice Christian couple camped next to us so we ended up going over and sitting with them for a while.  She came to the US from the Netherlands and he was a veteran.  Very sweet people. We took the clam down after that but it was getting dark so used a flashlight.  Played two games of 3-13 and Bill won both!  Told him I'm going to throw those cards away and use the other ones!

9/21/17...Went for a bike ride, played mini golf, swam, went with Vikki and Terry to Saugatuck and South Haven and then back to their house to visit and have ice cream

Beautiful golf course and pond

Lots of challenging holes..uphill and curvy

Bill Golfing.  I wish they would have put the little rubber pads down on the golf course at Standish. Sure would have lasted better.

South Haven was beautiful

Vikki, Terry, me and Bill in South Haven

This is the restaurant we ate in.  It was great food! Vikki and I were sitting on a bench facing it, so I took a picture
So funny because Vikki turned around and saw our Bill and Terry sitting across the street facing the other direction looking for us.

Vikki yelled at them and they turned around and saw us

Cute how they quickly headed over to us
Bill shopping...he found two shirts in this store and was pretty happy.  Vikki, Terry and I all found sweatshirts we loved but all they had were smalls and a couple of mediums.

We ate and then I went on a bike ride while he read.  His knee is hurting so he didn't go with me.  After that we went putt putt golfing.  It is an 18 hole course with lots of big hills to hit the ball up with curves at the top.  Bill beat me by six and was pretty happy.  He wanted to golf again, but we only had time to get our swim in Before Vik and Ter were supposed to pick us up and we were both pretty warm.  It was already 80 when we went golfing.  We had a great swim and relaxed by the pool.  Came back and had lunch.  Vik and Ter got here and they brought lots of baby clothes and stuff for me to donate to His Restoration or Old Town Baby Pantry.  Shani gave her stuff that was James to donate too.  We went with them to Saugatuck and Vikki and I went through shops while the guys walked along the water.  We all met up in town then and left.  Went to South Haven next and walked down by the water.  It was absolutely beautiful down by the water.  A nice lady volunteered her husband to take a picture of the four of us.  Vik and I went through stores while the guys walked around and also got coffe at a coffee shop.  They said it was terrible.  Vik and I found a store that is closing and had everything marked down 75'%.  We got stuff for The shoe boxes we are doing for Samaritans Purse.  Also picked up something for each grandkid's Easter basket.  We went through more stores and then went in the shade and sat on a bench by the Clementine Restaurant where we were going to eat.  I texted Bill to let him know we were waiting there.  We sat there quite a while talking and then Vikki looked behind us across the street and the guys were sitting on a bench there that faced the stores.  I got my camera ready and we yelled over to them.  So funny that we were all sitting with our backs to each other waiting to see each other.  When they came over to where we were, Bill said he never got my text.  That's because I sent it to Vikki's phone which she left in the car.  We had a good laugh about that too.  Vikki and I had salmon and Bill got perch and Terry got walleye and they shared.  The food was really good.  Bill liked his perch better than last night, but Vikki and I liked last night's salmon the best.  We went to their house again and visited and then ate ice cream with all the toppings.  They brought us back to the campground after that and Bill and I played 3-13 and talked to Vikki on the phone.  She made me lose the game!  Not really as I was doing awful before I started talking to her.

9/20/17..went for a bike ride, went swimming, Sightseeing with Vikki and Terry

I enjoyed the pool all to myself this morning.  It was so warm and nice and beautiful outside

Love how the whole end is steps so you have lots of room to get in.  The pool holds 167 people

Kiddie pool isn't getting used so is pretty dirty

We went to a light house museum, but walked down to walk by the water first.  Bill walking down the ramp

Terry walking down the ramp with Vikki's purse...we laughed about that

Bill, Vikki and Terry on our walk

A nice guy who was an army veteran offered to take our picture together

This is the army veteran with Bill.  His wife wanted to get a picture of the two of them so I took one too.  He was so nice...had a great personality

The water was beautiful along our walk

Vikki and Terry

I didn't know Bill was going to do the same pose...I was laughing because I was just going to stand next to him and then he pulled me over and put his arms around me.  What a cutie!

The Lighthouse museum...It was $5 to go through it so none of us wanted to pay it.  There are lots of free lighthouses to go through

Uncle Terry redid the guest bathroom and took out the bathtub and put a  tile shower in.  This floor he put down in the kitchen, foyer, hallway and this bathroom.  It was beautiful

Shelves built in inside the shower.  He does amazing work!

We ate here and it was the best Salmon I have ever tasted.  YUM!  Close to the State Park in Muskegon

View outside the restaurant

Took a shower in the camper.  There is city water in the campground so it smells great and there is lots of water pressure.  Went on a bike ride after breakfast and then Bill read his book while I went for a swim.  There was a lady sun tanning, but I had the pool all to myself.  Such a big pool here.  The water temperature was 80 degrees and it was in the 80's so it was wonderful.  Spent 40 minutes swimming and moving so got lots of exercise.  Came back to the camper at noon and was going to make lunch.  Just finished changing and Vikki and Terry came to get us.  She had tried to call me, but I didn't check my phone while I was at the pool.  They were supposed to pick us up at one so didn't expect a call.  Terry was having allergy problems so made a doctor appt.  They came early and we went to his dr. office and waited in the waiting room with Vikki.  We went to Taco Bell for lunch and then went driving around by Whitehall.  Went along White lake and stopped at a lighthouse museum. Walked along the water and out to the bay.  It was so beautiful.  A couple men came by and offered to take a picture of the four of us.  He had been in the army and was so happy to talk to Bill.  We walked farther and the same two men were with their wives and were taking a pic of three so dad offered to take all four.  Then they took a picture of the one who was in the army and dad.  This guy had a great personality.  We didn't go in the light house museum because it was $5 each.  Drove by Duck Lake and then went to the Bear Lake Tavern for dinner.  Vikki and I had Salmon, a baked potato and steamed veggies.  It was the best salmon I've ever had and they give you a huge piece.  The guys had perch ad fries.  We came back to Vik and Ter's house and visited.  They brought us back to the campground.  Terry's allergies were pretty bad so he was going to get to bed a little earlier.  Didn't sleep good last night because of his allergies. It was dark out, but Bill built a fire and him and I sat by it for a while.  Played 3-13.  He won!
