They took us to a blueberry farm and market in Holland for blueberry and pumpkin donuts. Cute playground in the background |
Spent the day in Grand Haven |
Walked through shops downtown |
Went through this museum |
Terry, Vikki and Bill on our walk. Saw some amazing boats out on the water |
We went to a huge greenhouse later by Allendale to see if there were any deals. Bill really liked this buck for $600. Wouldn't want it in my yard though. |
Bill and I went to a custom spring factory. They sent us to an office close by. Bill was hoping to find springs he wants for our trike. They said that's not the kind they make. Headed back to the campground planning on golfing because Vikki was getting her hair cut. She had called to tell us when we started out so we figured we would have lots of time. She called just as we headed back to the campground and said they were on their way to get us. They picked us up and we went to Bowerman's Blueberry Market. We got blueberry donuts because Shani said we should go try some! They were delicious! We also got some pumpkin donuts. Those are the kind Bill loved. We sat at a picnic table outside and ate. It was another beautiful day but in the 90's. We also got some blueberry syrup for pancakes and strawberry poppy seed dressing. Terry got a church blueberry pie for us to have at their house later. We dropped the donuts, pie and other stuff off at their house and spent some time there. Walked around their yard and looked at all their plants. We headed to Grand Haven and walked through some stores, We ran into a couple we saw in South Haven yesterday with a big dog eating outside in Grand Haven. Their dog was some kind of wolf hound. It was beautiful and a very friendly. We talked to them a few minutes than walked by to shop. When we got hungry, we walked to a restaurant called Twenty Below, that Vikki wanted us to try. We walked back and that couple with the dog was still sitting there. We got there at 2 and some ladies told us it had just closed and would open again at 5. Vikki told them we were going to a different restaurant downtown and told them how to get there. We walked back and the couple was still there. Got to the other restaurant and it was closed for the season. We decided since we were across the street we would walk back on this side because we didn't want to keep walking by them,. They were gone this time. We found a restaurant and had burgers. Left there and walked down by the water. The pier was closed because they are working on it. We left and came to the campground because Mark and Marti from church had left Bill a message and we wanted to make sure they weren't waiting for us at the campground. They weren't so we went and sat in the air conditioned camper and visited. Went to a huge greenhouse to look for deals on plants. We couldn't stand it for long because there were no fans or air conditioning, so we were roasting. Headed back to their house to hang out. Had the delicious pie. We left at seven to start packing up the Clam and some other things. We had a nice Christian couple camped next to us so we ended up going over and sitting with them for a while. She came to the US from the Netherlands and he was a veteran. Very sweet people. We took the clam down after that but it was getting dark so used a flashlight. Played two games of 3-13 and Bill won both! Told him I'm going to throw those cards away and use the other ones!
