I went to see Jacob and Adam show their sheep.  They looked very handsome and did a great job showing their sheep.  They both won two ribbons.  So proud of them.  Got to park free because no one was at the gate so the worker told me just to go park.  Melissa messaged me to pray because they had her discharge papers for tomorrow and she is no where ready to go home.  I had Kimmy pray and Bill.  I was just posting it on our church prayer page and Melissa texted me that they extended a week.  Thanked the Lord!  Went to the hospital after I left the fair.  We sat outside for a while.  Wes and Gayla came to visit Melissa while we were outside.   Helen wasn't feeling too good so she stayed in today.  Jeff Ralph was supposed to come visit her, but didn't make it.  Bruce had a school board meeting so I stayed with Melissa and we went to the Multipurpose room and visited with patients who will be leaving tomorrow...Jim and Marion and her husband, plus it's daughter and brother and then Bill came too.  Great friends have been made there.Vikki called me and said she posted videos of the first time Melissa walked at the rehab and today.  What an amazing difference.  She couldn't even stand by her self the first time and they had to move her feet.  Today she walked on the parallel bars and didn't need a therapist to hang on to her.  She is improving so much.

8/12/18, Went to church, went to Masonic home to witness and show residents the bikes, went to eat, went to Visit Melissa, Went to Vikki's.

After we arrived at the Masonic Home in Alma.

We talked with the residents while they looked at our bikes.  Witnessed and visited with the residents.  We met some very nice people who touched our hearts in such a special way

Getting ready to leave

Great food at this Mexican Restaurant in Alma called Cancun.
It was so nice having Matt and Lupe with us.  Matt is doing amazing after his motorcycle accident.  He is a miracle.
Peyton and Isaac

We went to church.  Joan was really sweet and came and talked to me about Melissa and was so caring and gave me a big hug.  The worship was awesome and the Holy Spirit really moved.  I went back and had a good lesson with my kiddos.  After church, we came home and ate and then met everyone at Meijer's.  We had eight bikes, and 13 of us all together. Barb his a volunteer at the Masonic home and set this visit up for us.  She led us there today and did a wonderful job.  It was in the 80's so felt good moving on the bikes.  Very nice ride and very nice time visiting with the residents.  They were so sweet.  Went to a Mexican restaurant afterward and had a great burrito.  It was delicious.  Bill had tacos.  We had a nice ride back home.  I went to see Melissa right away after we got home.  Bruce, Evan, and Jack were in the multi purpose room. Jay, a nurse who was Melissa's nurse when she was in back in 1995,  came to say hi to me and tell me he remembered me.  I brought Helen down to sit with us and we all visited with Jim.  Then we all went outside and sat for a while.  It had cooled down and was very nice out.  We took Melissa and Helen back upstairs and then I left and went to Vikki's for a few minuted.  Nice seeing the kiddos and doggies!  Nice to see Vikki too of course.

8/11/18,,,Went to visit Melissa, Watched her in therapy,, went for motorcycle ride, Praying for Avoree again as she is back in the hospital for more anti venom.

Bill doing the memorial service for Valda Morgan.  He was a marine and passed away the day after Bill met him.  He didn't have any family.  He wrote a book about the parables of Jesus.
I had to take three pictures of these girls with the puppy.  Each one looked at the camera at a different time, even the dog.

Bill, Don and Elaine getting ready to take off and go to Wheeler for ice cream

At the the ice cream shop.  Had the best chocolate with cashews ice cream.  Melted fast because it was so warm out.
I went to visit Melissa in the morning and watched her do her therapy.  At 11, I realized I was late in getting the the memorial service Bill was doing.  I left right away and headed to the Veteran's Memorial.  I got there just as Bill was giving his message.  I took pictures and went and talked to him afterwards.  He didn't even know I was late.  He did a great job.  I went back to see Melissa.  Vikki came too.  We took Melissa and Helen outside to sit for a while.  Saw two cute dogs in the lobby and then one of them came outside. It's owner said it's birthday was the same as Vikki's dog, Lucy.  It was such a cute friendly puppy, and very well behaved.  After I left the hospital, I got home and Rick was just finishing the bathroom floor.  We were going to go for a ride on our motorcycle and realized we had an ice cream run tonight.  I made stuffed peppers, baked potatoes and corn on the cob and we ate quickly and left for the ride.  There were only four of us who went, but we sure had fun and the ice cream was great.

Helen cuddling the soft blanket we got her!  What a sweet lady she is.

Melissa on the Locomat for the first time.  Her therapists were all so patent, helpful and fun

They laid the bathroom floor today.  They were two pieces short.  Bill went to get two more pieces and they were holding 22 boxes of the tile for someone and were out.  One of the workers is picking up the pieces in Bay City tomorrow, and then coming to finish the floor in the morning
Bill and I went to the SportsZone and walked 2 miles.  Went to see Melissa.  Got there at 9:30 so I could see her go on the locomat pro.  They had to measure her and then it took 3 therapists to set up the machine.  Then it kept saying error, so they called in the outpatient therapist who knows how to work the machine really good.  He got it going.  I was amazed at how it made her walk the right way, using the right muscles and keeping her feet right.  It cut down the spascity too.  AMAZING!
She will be better fast if she uses the right muscles.  She did better in all her other therapies after that too.  There was a photographer for Mary Free Bed there who kept taking photos of her.  I left to go get Hailey and right after I left, they were getting Melissa off the locomat. Melissa said she felt dizzy.  A minute later, Melissa fainted.  Vikki kept asking the therapists if she was ok.  They hadn't realized she fainted.  The guy grabbed her and lifted her up while the others unhooked her.  I guess this is a common thing that happens the first time the machine is used by someone.  Hailey and I went to Walmart and got a soft blanket for Helen and some M & M's.  We went to Taco  Bell and ate lunch and then called to find out what Vikki, the kids and Bill wanted us to bring back for them.  We took lunch to them and then we went downstairs to see Melissa in Therapy.  Matthew was on the locomat machine so we went and talked to him.  I messaged Bill and he came down to see Matthew.  We watched him for a while and then went and got Melissa to watch.  We went back upstairs and then left so Melissa could rest.  I came home and Bill and I went for a motorcycle ride to Culver's in Midland for Concrete Mixers and then went to see Kimmy, Jared and the boys.  The boys were in the pool having so much fun.  I am so happy they are so close and love playing together. Jared rode the motorcycle the yard and did great.  I sure love the way it rides so comfortable.   Kimmy and I went and looked at the boys sheep.  They sure are nice sheep.  We went in the house and Kimmy made us coffee that was delicious.  Melissa said Helen loved the blanket and wanted to FaceTime me and say thank you.  I face timed her and she was so cute and sweet.  She cuddled the blanket the whole time and kept thanking us.  We came home and watched a movie.

8/9/18...Went to see Melissa at the Rehab. Vikki, Kimmy and the kids came to see Melissa and so did Bill. Took Melissa's roommate outside with us again, Went to our Faith Rider's Meeting, Left early because the guy delivering our Motorcycle was getting close to our house, Love the new motorcycle

Motorcycle when it arrived

A nice gentleman who believes in Jesus delivered our bike from Alabama.  Didn't charge anything. since he was already coming this way.

Bill is pretty happy and looks so good on it

We took it for a ride right away

Picked tomatoes and then went up to see Melissa right away in the morning.  Watched her do therapy.  She sure works hard and is so determined.  What an amazing girl she is. Helen's neighbor sent her some fresh veggies, so Helen wanted to share with Melissa and me.  I peeled the cucumbers and cut up tomatoes for us, heated two cabbage buns I brought up for them.  We ate together and it was so much fun.  I loved the bread and butter pickles her neighbor sent up but Melissa and Helen didn't.  Vikki, Peyton, Isaac, Kimmy, Jacob, Adam, Eli and Bill all got there at the same time.  We met them in the cafeteria.  We hung out there for a while and then went outside.  It was so nice in the shade and not hot, so I went upstairs to see if Helen wanted to come outside with us.  She did, so I signed her.  They said she had to be back in for her therapy in a half hour so I set my timer.  We had a nice time outside and then the my timer rang I took her back.  Her foot rest got turned somehow and we were working on fixing it and a nice worker came and helped us.  I got her back upstairs five minutes early still.  I went back outside.  We all decided to go back inside in the cool air conditioning.  Everyone left and then I asked Melissa if she needed to rest.  I didn't want her to be too tired for her therapy.  She did so I left too.  Took a little nap when I got home.  The guy was supposed to bring our new motorcycle at 4, but he got stuck in traffic so was running behind. We went to our Faith Rider's potluck and meeting.  Bill led the meeting and then we had to leave early because the guy was near our house.  We took back some mortar for our bathroom floor and got a darker color.  Then we headed home. In about 15 minutes he delivered the motorcycle.  It's beautiful!  We took a ride and it was so comfortable and rides so smooth.  Tried the heated seats and it was so nice.  Will love that in cool weather.

8/8/18...Happy 20th Anniversary to Melissa and Bruce, Went to the hospital, Met Bill at Menards to order a cabinet for over the toilet, Also got shower bars, Made BLT's from garden stuff. Melissa and Bruce went to her new neurologist in Grand Rapids and then went out to eat for their anniversary. Took Louise to Olive Garden as she will be moving this weekend to Petosky. Went to Menards afterwards again.

Happy Birthday Melissa and Bruce.  What a cute couple.  Love you both so much!

Me, Louise, Sue and Chuck at the Olive Garden for dinner.  We took Louise out because she will be moving to Petosky this weekend and we are really going to miss her.

Corner seat was build for our shower today

Outside wall for our shower was build and the second shelf put in the shower.  Subfloor is down and they will start putting the tile down on the floor tomorrow

Mudded the walls in the hallway.  Getting hall and bathroom ready to paint.

I slept in today because Melissa is going on an outing to her new Neurologist in Grand Rapids.  Perfect as she gets out of the Rehab with a day pass and she and Bruce can Celebrate their anniversary while they are out.  Melissa called and asked if I could come up at 10.  I finished doing my hair and left right away.  Got there before 10 and watched her do therapy.  I stayed until Bruce got there and they were bout ready to leave. Bought a popcorn on my way out of the rehab.  Ate part of it and took the rest to Bill.  Met Bill at Menard's and picked out a cabinet to go above the toilet.  Also got grab bars for the shower.  Came home and made BLT's.  Used tomatoes and kale out of the garden.  YUM.  Praying for Bill's sister Tina.  She is in great pain from a botched colonoscopy which caused her to have surgery.  They damaged her spleen during the colonoscopy and it looked like hamburger so it had to be removed or she would have died.  Blessed her family got her to the ER in time.  She messaged me that she doesn't want to go on as she is in such pain it feels like she is in a torture chamber.  Please pray hard for her.  She has a CT tomorrow so praying they can find something to help her.  Picked up Louise at 5.  She was so happy when we told her we were taking her to the Olive Garden.  She loves it there.  Great deal tonight....buy a meal for 12.99 and get a meal to take home.  Everything was delicious.  Went back to Menard's as the workers wanted Bill to pick up lights for the bathroom as they got the wrong kind.
