Max and Abby hanging out

Evan

Jack

Today, they got the stool done and are leaning the shower so they can grout it Monday!

Went to McDonald's Nursery and walked around looking for deals.  Didn't find any.  Went to Melissa's house to watch the boys.  Made Oatmeal for Max and Evan.  Jack had already eaten before Bruce left.  He was working on his language folder.  Changed and washed Jack's sheets..He helped me.  Folded the laundry in the dryer.  Started a load of laundry.  Went through the laundry and had the boys put their laundry away in the right drawers upstairs.  They did it cheerfully.  They played their I pads for a while and then I had them put them away.  Jack worked on language, Evan read 3 books to me and Max went downstairs to create something with legos.   We left and went to the Rehab to see Melissa.  Max and Jack played Minecraft and Evan and I watched Melissa on the lokomat.  One therapist let Evan ride the big 3 wheel bike Melissa was on the other day.  He crashed into a few things because the seat was too high for him.  I went to take a picture, but Gayla called right at that moment so didn't get it taken.  They had a few problems with the lokomat so I decided I had better take the boys home and feed them.  While we were there, I took the sheets and bedding out of the dryer and Jack and I made his bed.  He was a great helper.  Abby was cute and brought her favorite toy to me to play with her.  Love sweet Abby.  Jack and Max stayed home and played with the legos. Evan and I went to my house.  I baked a birthday cake for Rody to take over to their house tonight. Bill went to get plates for the motorcycle and forgot the proof of ins so I had to run it to him.  Evan and I stopped at Meijer's and got ice cream and popsicles.  Got home and frosted the cake.  Evan had a popsicle while he waited for me.  I took Evan to Bruce's and dropped him off and picked up Max to take to Vikki's to spend the night.  We had tacos at Vikki and Rody's and then had cake and ice cream.
How nice of them to have us to eat.  We had a fun time and it was fun watching Lenny and Lucy play nice together.  Came home and watched and listened to Elevation worship on the TV.

8/23/18...Went to O'Connors,Went to Melissa's House,Came home, Went to West Side decorating, Went to Rehab, Went to Little Caesars

While I was at West Side Decorating with Max, Evan and Peyton, the girl helping me pick out our paint color said a friend of hers had a little girl that looked just like Peyton.  She said she was older than Peyton though.  She showed me this picture and I asked if I could take a picture of it.

I cropped it and just sent Vikki a picture of her and said  doesn't Peyton look cute here.   She said, ya I love that picture.  The girl (Sonya) and I were laughing hard because Vikki thought it was Peyton.  We left the store and I was talking to Vikki and she told me the picture had Rody's name at the top.  I couldn't see it good in the store, and I cropped it right away and the name didn't show.  Anyway, it was Peyton.  I called Sonya to tell her and she and I had another good laugh.  She has known Rody since she was 15 and they went to school together.  The joke ended up being on me.because it really was Peyton.
Max and Jack having pizza and breadsticks for lunch

Today's progress on the shower

Love how the shower is looking. Can't wait until they grout it

Love my hibiscus I got from Adam and Jacob's band fundraiser

Bill and I picked more corn tonight

Got 8 more freezer bags of corn

Peyton woke up a couple of times in the night last night crying but as soon as I went upstairs and told her everything was ok and covered her up with her blanket, she was ok and went right back to sleep.  She got up when I went upstairs to get ready in the morning.  I made some oatmeal with raisins and nuts to take with me and took some Pop Tarts for the kids.  They have been asking for them.  Peyton waited to eat with them.  She and I stopped at O Connor's to see if they could help pick out paint to go with our bathroom.  Found out they don't sell paint there, but the lady was very nice and told me what paint would be a good choice.  Went to Melissa's house and made sure Max and Evan ate, then spent time folding laundry and putting clothes away.  Rinsed a load and then washed it after that.  We went to West Side Decorating and the girl there was real nice.  She helped me pick out a good color of paint for the bathroom.  We all went up to see Melissa at the Rehab.  She was in her room.  Bruce called and Carter's dad called him and wanted Evan to come over and play with Carter.  He was going to pick them up at 1:30 so we left in time to go get a pizza and breadsticks and get to their house to eat it.  The boys ate good and then I did more laundry while we waited for Carter's dad to come.  He was a little late, but was very nice when I introduced myself.  He gave me his card if I needed to get a hold of him for anything.  He heads up the visitation for Bethlehem Church and had been to see Melissa in the Rehab,  He seemed very nice.  I folded the clothes in the dryer and put them away and then.  I came home and brought the tile I had taken with me back to the workers.  Took the car and got an oil change at Toyota.   Went back up to see Melissa and took her outside for a while.  She was getting tired and wanted to lay down, so I left so she could nap.  She works so hard that I know she needs to rest.  Went home and made BLT's and had corn on the cob from the garden. We picked and shucked corn after that.  Froze 8 more bags.  I took some corn to our neighbors behind us.  Brittany looked out the window and smiled when she saw me and talked to me for a long time.  She was happy to get the corn.  Their dog, Rose, is so cute.  She smiles a lot and smiled at me a few times.
Brittany told me she hurt her knee and had surgery 10 months ago and is still having lots of problems with it.  Told her I would be praying for her.

8/22/18.. Went to Melissa's house, watched Max, Jack, Evan, Peyton and Isaac. Jack prayed a sweet sincere prayer for his mom. Bill picked up Max and Evan, Went to Visit Melissa,

Jack praying for his mom
Evan, Peyton, Melissa and Isaac
Peyton visiting Aunt Missy
Bathroom work today

Got a call early in the morning from Vikki.  She found out her work was having a meeting she needed to be at.  She needed me to watch Peyton and Isaac so I told her I could meet her at Melissa's which was right by where she was going.  I was going to watch Max, Jack and Evan anyway.  Vikki dropped them off and all the kids ate breakfast.  Bill came over and picked up Max and Isaac.  We went and got gas together and got 80 cents per gallon off of 35 gallons.   Bill took the boys  to see the ship, USS Edson in Bay City.  The boys loved it.  He took them to McDonalds too.  Peyton, Evan, Jack and I went to Tim Horton's and got donuts and took them to Melissa's house to eat.  After that the kids played outside and had fun together.
Jack was working on his language workbook and stopped to give me a hug. Then he told me he felt like God was telling him to pray for his mom. He prayed God would do another miracle like before and that if his mom got sick ever again she wouldn’t go paralyzed. He prayed so sincerely and it was so precious. My heart was touched!
We ate lunch and then went to the Rehab to Visit Melissa.  Melissa was doing 50'% on her own on the Lokomat today.  Yay Melissa!  She is starting to improve fast now.  So happy about that.
We left and I dropped the boys off.  Their Papa Dan was coming to stay with them for the day.  I forgot my phone and went back to get it and when I got there Max and Jack were in the living room sitting.  I asked where Evan was and Max told me he sent him to his room because he wasn't acting right when he played Minecraft.  He kicked Jack and Max said it was no way for him to act and if minecraft was the reason he did it he shouldn't play it any more.  He felt bad for Jack so he gave him a sucker.  Max was handling it very nice and in a calm manner with wisdom.  I was very proud of him.
Took Peyton home with me to spend the night.  We stopped at Aldi's to shop and she started putting the groceries up on the conveyer belt when we were getting ready to check out.  I didn't ask her to help.  Then when we had checked out, she helped me load the groceries without me asking.  What a good little helper she is.  Picked up McDonald's for her (she loved the periscope toy in her Happy Meal), got Subway for Bill and I warmed up my left over spaghetti from Olive Garden.  Peyton and I went back up to the rehab to see Melissa and had a fun time visiting her.  Bruce came, so we left and went to pick up Jack to take to Vikki's to spend the night.  Peyton got her stuff to sleep with and we went to my house.  We watched a movie, read the Bible, prayed and she went to bed.  She wanted to sleep upstairs.

8/21/18...Went to our breakfast, Went to Melissa's house to spend time with the kids and help Jack with School work, Took Jack to Vikki's and had lunch, Went to hospital, Went and picked up Max, Went back to hospital, Picked up Paint, Got rain suit for motorcycle

Shower done to the top on 3 sides

Just a little bit more to do inside the shower, then it can be grouted

Eli and Jack at the Rehab.  They were looking at the fish.

Max relaxing in the lounger at the Rehab
We went to breakfast.  Only eight of us there today.  After breakfast, I went to Melissa's house and made sure the kids were eating breakfast and hunted for Jack's lost English packet to do over the summer.  We finished the last page in Math and I found the missing packet which made Melissa very happy.  We did the first page which was to write a thank you note to someone who had done something kind for you.  Jack wrote it to his teacher because she just helped him catch up with his math because Melissa hasn't been able to.  He wrote a sweet note and did a great job o i.  I fooled the clothes that were in the dryer and put them away.  We went to Vikki's after that.  Kimmy and the boys were there and we visited and all ate lunch together.  Vikki made mac and cheese and grilled cheese.  The kids were all playing minecraft together on their iPods. Kody was there and was playing too.  I went back up to the hospital afterwards, and Eli and Jack came with me.  The boys had so much fun together.  Love that all the cousins are close.  We left and had to run through the rain.  I had an umbrella and Eli stayed under it with me until he was almost to the car and then he ran ahead of me.  The boys were both wet, but very happy.
I had to turn on the heat for them because they were cold after getting wet.  We went and picked up Max and brought him to the hospital.  We sat in the lounge chairs in the multipurpose room and relaxed and waited for Kimmy, Vikki and the kids to come.  We were happy when they got there.  After a while, Bruce got there too.  I left and took Max and Evan to their house.  Bill and I warmed up our spaghetti from the Olive Garden last night and ate. Then we watched the news and then went to Sherwin Williams Paint to get our paint we want for the bathroom.  We picked the light grey we have in the kitchen.  Went to Lowes and got a towel rack they wanted us to get and a florescent light for the utility room.  Went to Gander Outdoor and then to Cabella's.  Got a rain suit for the motorcycle for me.  I had a frogg rain jacket, but it was so wrinkled when I took it out to wear that I decided I would put it in the dryer for a few minutes. Not a good idea.  It totally shrank and wasn't good any more.  Lesson learned. I got a Columbia rain jacket and it is washable.  It was half off and we had $39 reward dollars to put towards it so that was a big blessing.  Made dangles for Tina and Avoree.  Melissa had picked out the charms for both and helped me get them in baggies at the hospital so I just needed to connect them.

8/19/18...Went to church, Made Salmon for lunch, went to Bay City to pray for Marie and tale her communion, went to see Melissa and took her communion, Went through some pictures and cleaned out boxes up stairs,

Me and Roy by the bike.  What a sweet kind man he is and he takes such good care of his wife.

Went to church.  Great worship...sang a beautiful song about miracles.  God always gives us a song about miracles when Melissa goes through this.  There was a word given about believing God for a miracle and He will do it.  Pastor asked us to think of a Miracle we need.  Melissa was first to come to mind of course, than Marie.  I am believing God for a miracle because He is the God of miracles.  Good message today too.  We came home and ate Salmon, Baked potatoes and corn on the cob from the garden.  YUM!  Went to Bay City and visited Marie. She is still in a lot of pain.   Roy had left to visit his sister, but got back about a half hour after we were there.  We all took communion together.  Roy came out and looked at our motorcycle.  He liked it a lot.  Bill took a picture of the two of us by the bike. Marie had us check the weather while we were visiting with her and it showed all clear and no rain.  Well we started to go to Saginaw to see Melissa and it started pouring when we got a few miles from the rehab.  Bill dropped me off and went home to bring back the car.  I looked for Melissa in her room and she wasn't there. Then I looked in the multi purpose room and cafeteria and she wasn't in either of those places either.  I asked at the desk and they said, Is she still sitting under the tree outside.  They looked outside and said she was still out under the tree.  One nice young guy nurse said I'll go get her and took his umbrella.  By the time, I got downstairs in the elevator, he already had her by the front door under the overhang.  Bruce, Max, Evan and Abby were there too and were soaked. In a few minutes, I went up to get Melissa her sweatshirt and the guy told me to wait and he would give me a couple of towels to take down to her so she could dry off.  He was so sweet and caring.  Melissa appreciated the towel and so did Abby.  We went up to her room and Bruce left to go home and switch kids.  Melissa and I visited and then Bill came back.  We gave Melissa communion.  Bruce came back with Hailey and Jack.  He brought Subway for Melissa. We left and came home.  I made popcorn for Bill and got some organizing done upstairs.

8/18/18, Shampooed the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway upstairs. Went to the Rehab, Went on a date with Bill to Outback., Went back to the rehab, Walked around Menards

Got up and got ready, then shampooed the steps going up stairs and the hallway upstairs.  The guys working on out bathroom had tracked something up the stairs when they moved the toilet from downstairs to the upstairs bathroom.  The carpet came really clean so I was happy to get that done.
Went to the hospital after that.  Melissa and I went outside for a while.  Came back in and ate lunch together.  Went to the cafeteria to write out some cards for Tina and Avoree.  Melissa didn't sleep good last night and then they woke her up at 5:30 so she was tired.  She took a nap and I came home. She slept really good.  Bruce dropped their camper off.  Max and Evan came with him.  They wanted to use the candy claw machine.  Someone left it on yesterday, so I had to change the batteries.  They left to go to the Rehab to see Melissa.  Bill and I went on a date to the Outback.  We each had sirloin steak, baked potatoes and a salad.  It was so good.  We worked on our vision.  We usually do it in January so are way behind but glad to have it written out and signed.  We went to the Rehab to see Melissa and visited with her, Bruce, Max and Evan for a while.  When we were leaving, Vikki was just getting there.  Walked through Menards on our way home.  Looked around, then I wanted to go look at the flooring because I didn't think our floor looked like what we picked out.  We realize right away that Bill had picked up the wrong stuff.  He got the kind that was right next to the Harvest kind we picked out.  It was called Vine.  It looks ok, but I sure like what we picked out better.  He felt so bad himself that I didn't say anything, but the floor looks ok and will math the vanity.  He even mentioned tearing up the floor and replacing it with what we picked out, but I sure don't want to go through all of that.  I'm putting this picture of what we picked out her for a memory
