Beautiful sunset

Bill loaded everything in the car (banner, table, canopy, chairs, brochures, Bibles, etc)  I drove the car and drove the motorcycle to Hopevale for the Car/Bike show.  It was beautiful out and a great day for it.  We had fun and Bill won 2nd place with our motorcycle.  He also won in the veteran's drawing and got $50.  What a great group of people to hang out with.  We came home and I made potato salad for dinner at Debbie's tomorrow for the Bavarian Parade and fun at her house afterward.  In the evening we went to The Double Tree Hotel in Bay City for the Marine Corp. League State Convention Dinner.  We sat with the State Chaplain and his wife and other marines that Bill knew.  Doug Szcpanski was there with the guest speaker.  We want him to be the speaker some day and Bill is trying to set it up.  He has an amazing testimony of being a gunner and being hit by a suicide bomber.  He is a miracle and has started a ministry called Miracle Soldier.  We are honored to know this Veteran and man of God!

Fri.,6/7/19...Took Melissa to her blood test, Bill and I went with Rich and Pat to the VA hospital for Rich to have and MRI. Bill tilled the garden

Bill, me, Pat and Rich at Olive Garden

Bill got the garden tilled for the second time.  It has been to wet to do until today.
Got up and took my shower.  Melissa called me when I was just going to dry my hair to ask me if I was still going to take her to have her blood test.  I had put it on my phone calendar, but didn't get the reminder.  It was 8 and Bill and I had to be to Rich and Pat's at 10 to leave for Ann Arbor.  I prayed and asked God to help me get back home on time.  I hurried and got ready, left and got Melissa, and headed to the lab.  I am used to going to Quest by the Mall because that's where I go.  I drove there and almost was there when Melissa reminded me she has to go to the lab across from the hospital.  We got on the expressway and went to the hospital.  There were a few people sitting in the waiting area, but only one ahead on the list.  They called Melissa back right away.  A few other people came in after that and got in right away.  I was getting a little nervous as I watched the clock.  I saw her come out and they sent her in the bathroom for a urine specimen.  Her labs have never taken that long.  All the people who went in after her were done and out the door.  Melissa's doctor had ordered lots of tests.  Finally she was done and he left.  I had 15 minutes to get her home and then get back to my house.  I sure was praying.  I made all the lights which was wonderful.  I called Bill to see if he just wanted to me me somewhere, but he wanted me to come home so we could ride together.  I dropped Melissa off at her house and left right away.  Got home at 20 to 10.  We left right away and made it on time.  I sure did thank Jesus!  I sure messed things up by not remembering, but He turned it in to good for me.  We stopped at Tim Horton's and I got a muffin (since I didn't have time to eat in the morning) and Cappuccino.  We had a nice visit on the way.

Rich's MRI took 1 and 1/2 hours total time.  We went to the hospital store and then walked to the cafeteria and got ice tea. When Rich was done, we left and stopped at an Olive Garden on the way home. We all got the buy one/take one home for 12.99.  Got home and did some weeding while Bill tilled the garden.  Watched the Finale of When Call the Heart I had taped.  It was so good.

Hailey when I took Jack home.  Her last day of school was today!

Abby and Hailey.  Hailey gave her some pink hair today.
We got up at 7:30, ate breakfast and then packed up the camper and got it ready to go.  Walked over to the store and filled our coffee mugs for the trip home.  It was a beautiful sunny morning.  Nice drive home.  I got home before Bill and got my birds fed.  I went out and helped direct him when I saw he was home.  We both unpacked our stuff right away.  I took a shower and got ready and then left to pick up Jack from school  We went to Vikki’s and picked her and the twins up.  We went to Bay City and stopped at Outdoor Adventures Office.  Said I don’t need a new card, just my license and number to get in.  I haven’ been able to find my membership card, but am still praying.  We parked in front of the theater we were going to for the concert.  Outdoor Adventures was across the road and down a block.  Then we walked to G’s.  It was right on the road in back of the theater.  We sat down and ordered.  We were teasing about Carman coming there to eat.  Four guys came in and sat at the table next to us.  When they passed our table they told us if the kids acted up we could send them to their table.  We laughed and told the kids they better behave.  I heard them talking about their Jesus and their pastor.  We got to the concert and waited outside for an hour.  It went by quickly and we talked to some nice people in line.  We got really good seats.  While we were waiting for the concert to start, we ate popcorn.  Vikki brought drinks for us.  Carman’s manager got up to say a few words, and then introduced the pastor whose church had brought Carman to Bay City.  They were the guys in the restaurant at the table next to us.  The concert was amazing.  Carman has such a heart for the Lord and also has an amazing testimony.  He was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 2013 and went through 9 months of chemo and is cancer free.  All glory to Jesus!  The kids all loved the concert and so did Vikki and I.  Visited a little with Melissa, Hailey and Jack when I dropped Jack off.  Hailey made symphonic band and golden voice for next year and was pretty excited. Way to go Hailey!

Wed., 6/5/19...Walked, played putt putt, got ice cream

Add caption

Bill really trying to beat me at putt putt

It was raining so we slept in till 8:30.  Stayed up really late last night so it felt good.  We ate eggs, sausage and ham for breakfast and then went for a walk around the campground.  We did our morning reading and praying, and then sat outside for a while. It was hot when the sun was out and cool when it wasn’t.  We warmed up hobo dinners for lunch and then walked to the pavilion for ice cream. On our way back, we golfed two games. I won the first by 3 points and Bill won the second game by 11 points.  He got two hole in ones.  Shouldn’t be allowed to do that.  He went to Doug’s for a board meeting.  I walked again, and then decorated lunch bags for kids at a school. When Bill got back we played 3-13.  Bill wine both games.

Tues., 6/4/19...Went to Tawas, Bill made it back, Big tree fell in the woods by us

Gorgeous day in Tawas

Lots of great sales

The water was up farther than usual because of all the rain we've had

This big tree fell over in the woods behind us.  It crushed the fence of the nature trail.  Sure glad no grandkids were here riding bikes on that trail

So happy to have Bill back at the camper. He almost has his new phone updated with his stuff.

Beautiful day out! 78 degrees.  Chuck and Sue were supposed to come up for the day.  Their garage door broke so they had to wait for the guy to come to repair it.  Bill was late coming because he was working on his phone, so I went to Tawas and went through the shops there.  I almost got hit head on by a speeding car that was passing a utility truck.  I went off the road or we would have hit.  Then he cut it close with the truck and the truck driver honked loud and long at him.  I was praying and asking for the Holy Spirit’s help in submitting all to the Lord right before because I was listening to Christian radio and the speaker was talking about that.  Sure did thank the Lord after that! Fun going in the shops!  Bought a couple tops that were on sale.  Also bought a knife sharpener that’s tiny but works great.  Walked out on the pier but it was pretty windy out there.  Big waves were washing up on the pier.  Came back to the camper per and Bill was here. Made hobo dinners and had s’mores.  Took the clam down so it wouldn’t get wet in the rain tonight and tomorrow.  We go home the next day. A big tree fell in the woods behind our camper while we were taking the Clam down. It crashed on the fence of the nature trail.  Was it ever loud. I went to tell someone and noticed the store looked open. I walked in but no one was in it. Went to the back door and tried to go out it but it was locked. Realized then that the store was closed.  Saw a worker on a golf cart and told him about the crunched fence and then about the store not being locked.  He said the person forgot to lock it and no one here has a key, but they are trying to get one. We played 3-13.  Bill one by 5 points.

Mon.,6/3/19...At the camper myself. Got to finish the book Jacob gave me to read. Good book!

Breakfast cooking

Beautiful day

Yummy fruit salad
Got up around 8:30.  Made eggs, ham and toast for breakfast.  Read my Bible and prayed after that.  Made burgers up for when Charlie and Sue come tomorrow.  I went out and opened the Clam sides up.  Sat outside and read my book.  Finished it!  It was very good. Made a yummy fruit salad for lunch.   I called Kimmy to tell her to let Jacob know that I liked it.  He is already on the third book of the trilogy.  Bill got his new phone today, and was able to save his photos and most of his other stuff.  He thought he would lose it all.  He was very happy.  I worked on the newsletter and got it done.
I had a signal in the camper, so I could do it right here instead of going to the clubhouse.  I went to Taco Bell and got a double decker for dinner and a free senior ice tea.

Watched the news and Jeopardy.  James lost.  He only wagered 1300. He always wagered 20-30 thousand before.  He didn’t even beat the girls regular score with that wager even though he had the right answer.  She wagered 20,000 and got the answer right.  It’s almost like he didn’t want to win.  Weird!  I cleaned the camper and scrubbed the floors.  Nice and clean now.  Talked to Bill a few times today.  Missing him and will be glad to see him tomorrow.
