Peyton, Isaac, Eli, Adam, and Jacob

Isaac, Eli, Adam, and Jacob
Me, Papa and Eli with his Action Bible

We went to the funeral home to get information regarding setting up to be buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery.  They sent us home with lots of information to read.  When I got home, Kimmy called and said the boys had a half day of school and wanted to come over.  I was so happy.  I told her Marie and Roy were stopping after her dr. appt. and were having lunch here.  Kimmy said she didn't want to come and interrupt our visit, but I knew Marie and Roy wouldn't mind, and I really wanted them to come.  I was so happy when they did.  I made pizza for the boys, because I knew they would be hungry before 3 when we were going to eat.  Eli played a lot of songs on his recorder.  He sure plays it good.  Loved listening to him.  We watched some Christian singers on TV and I always love hearing Kimmy's boys sing.  Vikki called and she wanted to come over too.  Happy to have girls and grand kiddos here.  Marie and Roy were happy to see them and visit with them too.  Eli played his recorder for them too, and everybody clapped.  We ate lunch and then Kimmy and Vikki made me sit and visit with Marie and Roy while they cleaned up for me.  They are such huge blessings.  We gave Eli his Action Bible.  He is at a great age to read it.  He was really happy to get it.  Everybody left, and Bill and I went to our Faith Rider's Meeting.  It was at Bytes where the old Texan was.  This was our first time there for our meeting.  They weren't ready for us, the room was as cold as it was outside, but they turned the heat on and it warmed up quickly.  They only had 3 people working in the whole place.  Originally they told us they would have extra workers, but they forgot we were coming.  The one girl waiting on us (the only waitress) was working her first day.   We got breakfast thinking that would be safe to have and we weren't very hungry.  They brought my eggs with mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top of them.  Bill quickly told the waitress he didn't want cheese on his.  We didn't like the food at all.  After the meeting, we went with Kevin and Vicki to Mooneys for ice cream.  They lady who owns it, has a child that goes to school with Peyton and Isaac.  I started talking to her and noticed she had a cross on.  I asked her if she was a Christian and she said yes.  She started telling me some things to pray for for their business.  She was really nice and I was happy to pray.

Wed.,11/13/19...Bill took truck in for recall, Renewed Sams Club Membership, Went to Olive Garden

Cute picture of Max's class on World Kindness Day
Max is right in the middle, Luke is between him and Jacob Mulder
This was my handsome date tonight
The kernel burner went out early this morning, because it ran out of pellets. It was 65 in the house.   I thought there was enough in it last night, but I was wrong.  Couldn't get it to start up again, so turned the furnace on. Bill took his truck in for a recall to Garber.  I picked him up as it was going to take 2 hours.  We went to Sam's Club and renewed our membership.  We walked around the whole store. When we got done, he only had a half hour before the truck was supposed to be done.  It was already done when we got there.  I went to Jack's to get some finch food and meet.  Stopped at Ollie's and got something to go with Peyton's Christmas present and something to go with Vikki's, plus some toys for Operation Christmas child shoe boxes I have.  Stopped at church and picked up Rody's Christmas present.  Love getting some early shopping done.  Vacuumed the fireplace insert out and the fire started right up. Yay!  Turned the furnace off right away.  Talked to Melissa for a while.  Love that sweet girl!  Talked to Vikki for a while too. She and Peyton are watching Anne of Green Gables.  Peyton wants Anne for her best friend because she likes how much she talks. ha ha.  She cried during the part where Matthew died, so she takes right after us....sensitive heart.  Bill and I went to Olive Garden because I had a coupon on my phone for buy two entrees and get two free to take home.  Great deal!  We were super full when we left.  I couldn't eat all of mine so got a to go box.  Our waitress was nice and brought out extra bread sticks to take home.  We went to Gander Mountain afterward because everything was 80% off.  We only got a couple of paint brushes to clean the fireplace, but had fun walking around.  Not a whole lot left there.  Came home and watched the news I had taped.  Did laundry.

Tues., 11/12/19...Went to breakfast, Sargent Major Rice Died, Had small group

Bill with Sargent Major Rice...Mr. Rice passed away today.  In this picture, he was telling everyone how he had been feeling down, but after this night of everyone showing him love and honoring him for his service, he was happy again and joyful.  That was Friday.

We rode in the truck to our breakfast.  Heated seats and good traction on the roads.  Charlie, Sue,
Wes, Gayla, Andy, Phyllis, Dennis and I were the only ones there.  It was 5 degrees out and very windy.  Pretty cold!  We came home and Bill did the driveway and I vacuumed and dusted the house.  We had small group and Bill did an excellent job teaching the chapter in our book on being a cheerful giver.  Love our small group.

Monday,11/11/19...Happy Birthday to Mykenzie, Happy Veteran's Day to Bill and All Veterans

Happy Birthday My Kenzie....I love you so much!

Bill...my favorite veteran and my hero

Charlie, Bill, Isaac and Peyton at the kids school

All the kids at school with their family members who are veterans (Charlie in the middle with Isaac in red, Bill next to him in red with Peyton)  I love this picture!
Bill having his free baby cone at Mooneys....doesn't look like a baby could eat it.
I had a half baby cone and it was big too

It was snowing hard when I woke up.  We already had almost an inch.  I talked to Vikki and she was late getting the kids to school because it was so slippery out.  I told Bill right away, because Bill and Charlie were going to Peyton and Isaac's school for Veteran's Day and I wanted him to leave early enough.  Peyton and Isaac were very excited for them to come.  The kids all sang 3 nice songs to the Veterans.  Isaac was excited because they sang "God Bless America".  Bill and Charlie went to Bob Evan's for their free breakfast after that.  Bill picked up 4 free pizza meals and bottles of Pepsi from the different Little Caesars.  He also picked up another from Freeland and they gave him a free large there.  We took pizza to Bruce, Melissa and the Kids.  Max was so happy, he called papa to thank him. Bill was supposed to take Max to basketball practice, but it was cancelled because of the snow storm.  Bruce's board of directors meeting was cancelled because of the storm too.  Bill and I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond.  He got 25% of his whole purchase price.  We got Kimmy's Christmas present, and got me a new roaster because mine is so old and doesn't even was up good anymore.  We went to Kohls too, but didn't get anything there. We went to Harvey's with Charlie and Sue so the guys could get their free meal for Veterans Day.  Bill had steak and Charlie had whitefish.  Sue and I did the 2/$25 meal.  I got smothered chicken and she got chicken strips.  Mine was delicious.  Bill's steak tasted funny and the manager came and asked how things were.  Bill mentioned the steak (I tasted it too and it was yucky).  The manager was very nice and brought another steak out to him that was delicious, even though Bill told him not to.  Very good service there. Charlie and Sue bought my meal because she didn't get to take me out for my birthday.  They wouldn't take no for an answer.  They are such great friends.  We stopped at Mooney's on our way home.  We were the only ones there.  They guy serving us had been at the kids school with Bill this morning.  He has a 2nd grader too.  We enjoyed our ice cream cones and then headed home.  We were happy to relax.

League.  Bill had to do the cake cutting ceremony.  The youngest Marine was 24 yrs old and the oldest was 93.  The oldest served the youngest marine cake first and then the youngest served the oldest cake.  It's a tradition for the Birthday Celebration.  We came home and watched movies and had popcorn.

Bill met Charlie at Tim Horton's and gave him the gun he won in the raffle last night and also the Casino stay he won.  He was really happy.  Bill met me at Deisler's Funeral Home and we went to see Pat.  Her hubby died in his sleep last week. So sad.  She's one of the sweetest people.  I went to pick Melissa up after that, and we went to the bazaar at Valley Lutheran.  It was a really nice one.  I bought another Rada knife...they are my favorite.  I bought 10 snowmen from Kelly Laux, an eighth grader too.  She has two compassion kids, and she makes these snowmen herself and sells them to pay for her compassion kids.  They are really cute and the small ones are only $4 and the large one was 6. We got some for our small group people for Christmas.  Melissa bought one for Bruce's mom.  Melissa, Hailey and I went to Coco Loco's for lunch.  Yum! It was delicious. We went to the Dollar Store and then to Vikki's.  Bill got there right after we did. Vikki made lasagna and invited us to eat, but we had already eaten.  I did try a bite though, and it was delicious.  She made some without cheese for Bill.  He loved it and had two helpings.   Kenzie and Travis came a little while later. Kenzie gave me a beautiful ring she made me.  I love it.  It's amazing and beautiful. Has wrapped wire and a beautiful stone.  I can't imagine how she can make this!  Thank you so much Kenzie.  I will treasure it!
She opened her gifts....an easel from Bill and I, and a birthstone ring, cat necklace, and photo black light box from Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac.  She can take great pictures of the beautiful things she makes in it.  We had fun visiting and taking pictures.  Isaac did a great job playing the drums for us to worship music.  He sure is getting good at playing.  I took Melissa and Hailey home.  I took a nap when I got home.  Sure felt good after being up so late last night.  We watched a couple of movies.

Friday, 11/9/19...Vikki treated me to breakfast, Picked Hailey and the boys up, Went to Marine Corp Birthday Ball

The couple dancing... were so cute and danced every dance.  They could move good and did fancy steps.  They were up there in age, but sure were amazing dancers.  Look at her heels she was wearing while dancing.  They were about 3 inch spike heels. All I can say is WOW!

Sargent Major Rice....98 year old Marine who has an amazing testimony of how his life was spared many times during his service to our country.  His wife who is 93 was also there, and their daughter Pam

Vikki called me and wanted me to meet her at Q'doba's for breakfast.  She treated me to their breakfast bowl. Yum it was delicious.  Thank you so much Vikki!  We went to Goodwill afterward and saw Stacie and Ansel there.  We talked to her for a while, then shopped.  We went to Salvation Army after that.  I mentioned to Vikki that I was looking for a Coffee Carafe.  I went and picked up some Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes from Holly's.  Dropped them off at my house, and Melissa called to say Hailey's school was cancelled because of no power.  I went and picked her up right away and then we headed to get the boys from their school, because they only had a half day.
I dropped them off and then went to a couple stores. Came home and got ready for the Marine Corp Ball.  They are celebrating the Marine Corp's 244th Birthday.  We had a good time, the food was great and we danced.  We stayed and helped clean up and pack all of the decorations up.  Bill and some other guys hauled them out to the shed and loaded some in vehicles.  We got home at 11:30.
