Max with Vader and Peyton.  Kimmy started grinding the bondo on Vikki's car she was fixing there in the picture.  Vader didn't like the sound and began walking in circles.  Max took her away far enough so she would listen to him and sit.  He then brought her back to investigate and show her she didn't have to be afraid.  He did it perfectly and Vader just laid down and relaxed.  The instructor taught this to Max yesterday at their dog session.  They went through a car wash because Vader had acted fearful in it.  They went through twice and Vader did good.
Max and I were both amazed at how well Vader did after walking away with Max, then listening to him, and coming back.  I'm proud of how Max listened and did what his instructor told him.  Way to go Max!

Adam, Eli, Papa and Jacob (sorry I didn't get much of Jacob in the picture)
Vader keeping his eye on Max.  He was amazing just laying there while Kimmy was making noise with the grinder.

Peyton picking some string beans.  She picked a handful when she was inside the fence

This big butterfly kept going on the zinnias

Got up early so I could read my Bible and do a load of laundry before Adam got up.  It was nice out, so I read out there.  Also prayed again for the kids on my list to pray for for VBS.
I prayed lots today for all of them.  I talked to Kimmy in the morning before Adam got up.  Adam got up, got ready, drank a protein drink, and we headed to Soccer tryouts.  He's very excited that he made it on the JV team.  I stopped at Pat's to get some milk and a few other things.  I talked to Kimmy while I was shopping.  I picked the garden when I got home.  Got lots of green peppers, big tomatoes, small cherry tomatoes, kale, and cucumbers.  Tomorrow will be salad day.  I washed them all up and put them in containers, then it was time to head back to get Adam.  We stopped at McDonald's on our way home to get Frappe's, burgers and fries.  We got home, and shortly after Kimmy, Eli, Jacob, Jack and Evan came over.  I was sure happy to see them all.  I gave them some Fat Boy Ice Cream sandwiches or drumsticks, which ever they wanted, then they stood under the maple tree eating them.  I went in the pool and skimmed the top a little.  When I got out, Jacob went in and swam for a long time.  Eli got in with him.  Little by little, all the kids (except Adam) made it in the pool.  Jack and Evan didn't swim, because their dad came and got them.  Their best friend who moved to Florida is coming with his mom to visit outside at Melissa and Bruce's today.  Everyone is so excited.  Max was super excited to see Jack and Evan too.  They have been staying at Kimmy and Jared's, and so they all missed each other.  Kimmy worked on Vikki's rust spot on her car today.  She's amazing how she fixes things.  We sat on chairs and visited with her while she worked.  Vikki had to go home and take a shower for VBS.  She forgot her keys to her car were here and so was her garage door opener.  Rody finally got home and rescued her.  I fed the kids and she got them ready here.  It was hurried to say the least.  I made Little Caesars small pizza's for anyone who wanted piazza and warmed up hamburgers cooked on the grill last night for those who wanted burgers.  Bill, Jacob, Adam and Eli played teams in Skip Bo.  When Adam and I had to leave to get to soccer tryouts, Kimmy took Adam's place.  They ended up loosing and Jacob and Eli won.  Adam and I got home and Vikki and the kids were waiting at our house.  Vikki brought us all extra hotdogs that were grilled at the church.  Adam went home with her and the kids to spend the night.  I will be picking him up at 10:30 tomorrow morning to go get his soccer jersey.

Tues., 8/9/22, Bill took Adam to soccer tryouts, I took Melissa, Max and Vader for training, took Adam to evening soccer tryouts and picked him up, got gas for $3.67

Very cool coffee shop in Bay City the dog trainer for Vader took us too.  She was so nice!  We got to share all that God has done for Melissa and how God brought her and Bruce together.  She was so happy to hear their story.

Hailey was home when we dropped Max off
Me and Melissa while visiting on the deck.  We had such a nice time.

Eli, Jacob, Jack and Evan on the rail trail

Jack
Adam...he rode 16 miles on the rail trail today.  He forgot to take water with him, and stopped at a 7-11 to get a drink.  They didn't take Apple Pay so he couldn't get anything.  I told him when he got home he could have texted me and I would have come brought him something.  I gave him some money to keep on him for the next time.  I felt really bad for him.
Adam after he got home from his long ride

Bill got ready and took Adam to his soccer practice.  I got up early, read my Bible, ate and then left to pick up Melissa, Max and Vader.  Bruce has Covid still, so I took his place.  I drove their Oddesy and it drove great.  We got there, and the instructor had Max work with Vader to come sit on his foot, or sit against his leg when they shake.  Max did great.  Then she said Vader had to learn how to not be afraid of car washes.  She asked Melissa if her van needed washing.  I was beginning to panic a little, because I was the one who had to drive it.  When I bought my first new car, I was 18 and I took it through a car wash.  The guy motioned me in and gave me the ok sign.  Then when the car came out, there was a big dent in the fender.  I don't drive through car washes because of that incident.  The instructor decided she had a card to get as many car washes in a month that she wanted, so she drove Max and Vader in her vehicle.  It all went just fine.  Melissa and I visited in the van while they were gone.  Next we went to the cutest Coffee shop in Bay City.  It was called Harless + Hugh Coffee.  Melissa and I got Cafe Mocha's and blueberry muffins.  Max got a hot chocolate and a cookie. The instructor got coffee and kiesh.  Stuff  was expensive, but very good!  Vader did great at his training there and Max did great doing what he was supposed to do to train him.  We took Max and Vader home after that.  Melissa rode with me to come pick up the pretzels I got for them at Sam's Club.  We visited on the deck for a long time and had a great time while drinking our Starbucks coffee I made.  We talked to Kimmy while we visited too, which was nice.  Kit Kat sat by us for a long time so we gave her lots of attention.  I took Melissa home after a couple of hours, then came home and started making burgers on the grill, and also grilled some beets from the garden.  I used an onion from the garden too.  Bill and Adam loved the burgers.  I took Adam to his evening soccer tryouts, then picked him up when he was done.  He wants to keep staying with us, because he doesn't want to get Covid and not be able to make his soccer games.  We sure love having him stay with us.  We played Skip Bo and I won again.  The boys weren't too happy with me lol.  We watched some worship on the TV and then went to bed around midnight.

Took Adam to soccer tryouts in the morning. Kimmy met us there with Adam’s big water jug.  Yay, they had a road closed sign up at the corner.  They are fixing the awful dip that was in our road at the other end.  Finally after all our calls, they are getting at it.   Maddy messaged me and sent me some beautiful pictures of the baby.  Maddy got to leave the cardiac unit and go home today.  Baby Brielle has to stay until she can get off the c pap in the NICU.  I went to Sam’s Club and picked up some Nesquik chocolate milk for Bruce and Melissa.  Dropped it off at their house and then headed to pick Adam up at noon.  We stopped and Adam got a frappe’ and burger from McDonald’s.  When we got home, he went with Papa to run some errands.  I made chicken and potatoes on the grill, and we each had a ear of corn from the garden.  I went to Sam’s again to get protein drinks for Bill and Adam. I also remembered to check to see if they had frozen pretzels for Melissa.  I forgot this morning.  They had them, so I picked some up for them.  I got home, then left to take Adam to soccer tryouts from 7-9 p.m. Jared met me there and put Adam's bike on my bike rack.  Adam is going to ride the rail trail tomorrow. Came home and hung out til it was time to pick him up.  It only takes about 15 minutes to get to where he goes.  I went back to pick him up, and timed it just right.  The kids were all just coming out of the gate and there was Adam.  He hopped in the car and off we went.  We played 3-13 when we got home.  Papa won, Adam came in second and I was the big loser.  We are waiting for Adam to get out of the shower now to play Skip Bo.  He loves our new shower and stays in for like a half hour.  He's so cute when he tells us how much he likes it.  Will have to post our our Skip Bo game went tomorrow.

We went to Wes and Gayla's church for a Faith Rider's church visit.  Bill, Wes and Elaine shared.  It was so moving when Elaine shared her testimony of what God has done in her life.  It was nice seeing Joel after the service.  They had lemonade and some snacks in the fellowship hall.
Carl, Jim Flickinger, Jim Champagne, Bill and I rode to Waltrusville to go to a motorcycle event, but the sign said it would be rescheduled when we got there.  We ended up just going to eat, then heading home.

Vikki was over swimming with Adam, then Melissa, Max and Vader came over to visit them.  Bill and I got home and visited some, then Melissa and Max had to leave.  Vikki, Bill and I swam for a while, then Vikki had to leave too. I talked to Kimmy a couple of times. Adam walked on the treadmill.  His try outs for soccer start in the morning.  He has been working hard to get in shape so he can be on the soccer team.

We watched a movie and had ice cream before going to bed.

Sat., 8/6/22, Went to the Veterans car/bike show in the morning at Garber, Vikki had to have Lenny put down, Went to Outback, Played Skip Bo with Adam

Baby Brielle was born shortly after midnight.  She weighed5 lbs. 2 oz..  She was 5 weeks early so had to go to NICU and be on a c pap to help her breathe and also a feeding tube. We are so thankful for this miracle baby.  Please keep her and her mommy who has been fainting, in your prayers.  Her mom had to stay in the cardiac unit because of A fib and some other problems.

Sweet baby...I can't wait to hold her.  She is just precious.
Bill looking at his tickets.  He said he had the number before the one that was drawn for the 50/50, but when he flipped it over, there was the winning ticket on the other side.  He won $222
Bill with his winnings. He was pretty happy and we were all happy for him!
Isaac spotted an outside projector in a basket and said that's the one I want.  Papa gave him some money for 12 tickets and he filled his name out on them.  I joked with him and told him to put his tickets in the makeup basket for me.  He didn't lol.  Well, they drew his name and he won this big $120 value basket.
Papa and Adam
Me with my basket....I won the makeup basket because Bill had put his name in each drawing.  We sure had the winners today. Rody took pictures.  We all had to laugh because of winning so much.
Adam floating on our new mesh float.   He and I swam for a while when we got home.
Bill with his trophy for best bike.  Another win!

Very sad day.  Vikki had to put Lenny down. He was getting lots of hot spots and has been very anxious for a while now, to the point where he is destroying door frames, etc.  This isn't how our Lenny is.  Vikki said the vet thought he has cancer and it went to his brain.  He will be better off, but we will all be very sad and will miss him so much.  He was such a loving loyal dog.

Our very special Lenny!!!

Fri., 8/5/22, Jack and Evan tested positive for Covid, We all packed up and left BayShore, Tried new ice cream place

Peyton and Isaac at McDonalds on the way home
Vikki and Peyton eating ice cream at Brandt's Farm Market
Me, Peyton and Papa eating ice cream

Everyone got ready and went to their classes in the morning.  We had yummy cookies and coffee between classes, then Kimmy came for the last class.  We went to our camper afterward, and Bruce told us that Evan and Jack had just tested positive for Covid.  We decided to pack up right away and leave then.  We were going to leave in the evening.  Kimmy, Vikki, Adam, Bill, me and all our kids camping with us, pitched in and helped so it went fast.  Adam stayed at BayShore with Hailey.  Kimmy took Evan and Jack with her and Eli to keep them, so Melissa wouldn't catch Covid.  Kimmy and family had all just had it in Copper Harbor, so were unlikely to get it now. Papa emptied the camper, then drove the camper home. Vikki and the kids came with me, so we left before Bill was done. We stopped at McDonalds and got some food, and saw Bill go by with the camper.
When we got home we found out that Kit Kat had snuck in the garage before we left for BayShore and was locked in there without any food or water.  Poor Kit Kat.  I felt so bad.  She had used a garbage bag on the floor to go potty on, since she didn't have any litter.  I'm thankful we got so much rain, because she must have drank some that came under the garage door with the 4 inches we got.  She sure was happy to see me and very loving all the rest of the day.  She sure did eat too. Kim Reminder came for a swim.  She had asked me yesterday if it was ok if she came after work.  She swam and I helped unload some things.  Vikki unloaded her stuff, then left.  I sat and visited with Kim while she was in the pool.  Kit Kat caught a chipmunk while Kim was here.  She was sad about it, but I was happy.  They are sure destructive critters.  I went for a swim when Kim left.  It sure felt good.  Then Bill and I went to Adam Curry's graduation party.  We had a great time and sat with a young guy who was on fire for God.  I was talking to him, and he quoted at least 6 scriptures the evangelist at BayShore had taught on.  It was amazing and was such a confirmation.  I love God's Word and those who follow it.  I had a chance to pray over Adam before I left because he was having anxiety.  The evangelist had anointed Bill and I for prayer the night before, and God gave an opportunity right away.  Adam has always been a favorite of mine, so I was happy when he shared with me what was going on.  I'm trying harder to follow the Holy Spirit in me since hearing such great messages at BayShore.  Vikki called earlier and was swimming at our house.  I thought she still might be there, but when we got there, she had left already.  I called her and she and Peyton were at a little farm marked that just opened up a few miles from us.  We met them there and were happy to have ice cream together.
It sure was yummy.  When we got home, Bill helped me, and we got the camper unloaded before Hailey brought Adam here.  I wanted to have it done before he got here, because I know he planned on helping me.  I know he was really tired from all that was going on at BayShore, so was happy he could just get home and rest.  He's staying with us so he doesn't get Covid before his soccer tryouts.  He has worked hard to make the team.
