I got up early so I could pick the garden before it got too hot.  I got lots of peppers, 4th of July Tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, string beans and long cucumbers.  Bill left to go help with the Marine Corp. league booth at the Garber Car Show.  He asked me to meet him there in a little while.  I texted with Maddy and she wanted us to come to Brielle's 1st Birthday Party at the Church of the Nazarene.  We weren't going to be home, but came home from camping a day early so happy we will be able to go to her party.  Bill did the folding of the flag at the Car show.  I will have to add pictures later.  I walked around with Bill at the car/bike show.  We ate yummy turkey and ham subs and chips for lunch there.  They had really good free food.  Bill brought me some tickets to put in containers to win prizes.  He put some in too.  All the baskets were won, except the last one which was a surprise and was covered by a box.  They drew my number for that one.  Yay.  We went to the birthday party and had fun.  Brielle and William were so cute.  We had fun watching then together.  I came home, and Bill went on the motorcycle to his friend's house to get his coffee mug he left on the booth table.  I put all the stuff that was in the tub on the table for Bill and I to go through.  He added lots of stuff up and said it is around $200 worth of stuff in the tub, including the tub.  He took some things he wanted.  Vikki and Kenzie came over to use my car to go to Kenzie's Aunt Stephanie's house to pick up lots of baby stuff she is giving to Kenzie. Kenzie is so blessed with nice stuff already. They looked at the stuff on the table and thought it was great stuff too.  I gave them each  few things and also gave the some veggies from the garden. They left to go to Stephanie's.  Kimmy called me from the Fort in Copper Harbor.  It was so good to talk to her.  Bill talked to her for a minute too. Vikki and Kenzie got back and they got to talk to her too.

I did laundry and bedding from the camper today.  I went out and made the bed up and put stuff away.  I also put the slide outs in.  Ran some veggies to Lisa and her mom and took the left over cake from Wes and Gayla's 61st Anniversary.  Melissa met me in the driveway.  Max came running out as soon as I got there because he knew I had the cake.  He and Evan didn't get any yesterday.  Picked Bill and I up an egg salad sandwich to share and some chicken noodle soup for bill.   Filled bird feeders, made oriole food and put suet out.

Called Jacob and talked to him at night to make sure he was all safe and sound at home.  I'm excited to go to his concert tomorrow night.

We went to Brian Pruitt's Class in the morning.  It was another great one!  We went for our cookie and coffee break, then Bill and Vikki left to go hang up some of our State Rally Signs in town.  I went to my second class.  I was happy to see Marcia there.  We exchanged names so we could become Facebook friends.  She is such a nice person, I told Vikki she could be my life long friend.  The class was really good.  At the end we got together with Aaron, Marcia and I and prayed and discussed which Let us in Hebrews was a challenge for us.  I had Bill and Vikki pick up a cake for Wes and Gayla.  The decorator at the store went home, so Vikki wrote on it at our camper.  She sure did an amazing job.  Vikki packed up and loaded their stuff in her car.  She decided to leave before the service tonight too.  I found out from Wes and Gayla what time would be good to have the cake at our camper with some other friends.  I packed up things in the camper for a while longer, then at 1:30 everybody came.  We had fun celebrating with Wes and Gayla and the cake was yummy.  We packed up the rest of our stuff. Bill had to help our neighbors next to us get out of their site because they were stuck in mud.  He used a tow rope to pull their truck and camper out.  The rest of us were praying for them to get out and cheering them on.  It worked after two tries.  We told some people goodbye and went to tell Wes and Gayla goodbye.  They came over to watch Bill get the camper out and be there if he needed help. They are the best friends! We left and Bill got us right out of our spot with the Lord's help of course.  He did great. I went to tell Evan good bye while Bill dumped our tanks, but he wasn't in the tent.  We missed seeing Hailey when she came back to BayShore too.  We unpacked everything when we got home.  Bill carried in the food and while I was carrying my things, he put all the food away.  I was so thankful and gave him a great big kiss.  I made eggs, sausage and toast for our dinner.  Then we started making our list out of who to invite to our 50th wedding anniversary party.  He helped lots with that too.  Started writing addresses down too.

Thursday, 8/3/23, Went to class, visited Melissa, went for ice cream at Red Barn, took motorcycle ride, Bad storm at campground, went to service, ic cream after, called Jacob

We got up and got ready for class.  Kenzie went with us.  It was another great class.  We had our cookies and coffee break, then instead of going to the next class, we went to visit Melissa, Max and Bruce.  Melissa and Abby came with Vikki, Kenzie and I to go see Liz.  She works in the office here and has for a long time.  She was happy to see Kenzie.  We went back to Melissa’s camper.  Bill was still there.  A nice older guy who has been giving people golf cart rides all week took us back to Melissa’s camper and then to to our camper. Bill walked, but we girls had just got lots of exercise.

We went to the Red Barn for ice cream and Bill, Vikki and Kenzie hung a couple of Street Party Signs for when we have our State Rally.  Brad and Jen met us and had ice cream too.  Wes called and wanted us to come ride to Akron.  We took Vikki and the kids home and they went swimming while we three couples rode our motorcycles.

When we got home we made potatoes on the grill and chicken strips on the grill.  I had Bill call Bruce to see if he and the boys wanted to eat with us. Right after that a bad storm moved in, so we just ate in our camper and Bruce and the boys ate in third.  The twins went to the Family Center and so did Bruce’s boys.  Bruce was at his camper and we were at ours when it started raining really hard and the wind was blowing over 50 mph.  The neighbors tents started blowing and their canopy flew towards our motorcycle. A little tree stopped it from hitting it.  Lots of branches down all over and some broken canopies.  Our clam top blew and a couple swimsuits blew off the line.  No damage to the camper, praise God.

Bill, Kenzie and Vikki went around and took pictures.  We went to the tabernacle for the evening service.  Got a golf cart ride there too.  Free ice cream after service again. Yum.  I called Jacob and made sure he was ok.  He can’t come here tomorrow now, because Mr. Shepherd wants him to help him with something.  We had a nice talk and said i love you to each other.  Such a nice responsible young man.

Went to our class! Brian Pruitt did an amazing job teaching and was so fun too. We did a cookie and coffee break after class and then went to our next class in the tabernacle with Pastor Combs. It was on Hebrews. We got in a group with Bill, Vikki, Marsha and I. We came back to the camper and had lunch. I took a nap afterwards and was going to get up in an hour to go tie dye shirts. Vikki signed me up but I didn’t really want to do it. She didn’t wake me up, so I ended up sleeping a few hours. Melissa and Max got here and came to visit us so Bill woke me up. I was so happy to see them. Bill went to pick up pizza for us. He tried to see if he could pay for Bruce’s pizza too, but it wasn’t ordered yet.We had a nice visit and Max was so fun to talk to. He was so nice letting Paul pet Vader and telling him Vader really likes him. We went to the evening service and Melissa came and sat with us too. When we got back Melissa brought Abby and came to visit. Kenzie came to spend the night shortly after. Bruce came to tell her hi and stayed a while. Vikki made us all toast out of the delicious bread that Kenzie made. We visited lots and then went to bed! Called Jacob and talked to him for a while.  I always like to know he’s home safe and sound. He’s always so sweet on the phone. We all talk to him.
