Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015

The grandkids loved picking out shells to have.  I picked them up on my morning beach walks in Florida.

Hailey, Max, Evan and Jack

Isaac, Kenzie, and Peyton

Eli

Papa reading the Easter Story.  It was Max's idea to do this, so we started this year.  It will be a tradition just like we do at Christmas.  Thankful for grandkids who love the Lord.

Silly Uncle Bruce, Kenzie and Evan.

Evan hunting for eggs.

Jack has his bucket full.

Max and Hailey collecting eggs.

Thought this was cute of Pey Pey and Isaac by the eggs on the stairs.

The yearly tradition of the grandchildren's line up to go on the Easter egg hunt.

Listening to Papa read the Easter Story.

Jack and Eli were good listeners.

Adam, Jacob and Elil

Kenzie wanted in on the Russell Photo since she's part of that family too.

Yummy Chicken Stir Fry I had at Lou's Restaurant

Bill and I met Jim and Denise for lunch.
Bill and I went to Attica to have our motorcycle seat recovered.  We were pretty close to where our cousins Jim and Denise live, so we called them to see if they could meet for lunch.  They met us at a wonderful restaurant that had delicious food.  When we left, they had us come to their car and gave us delicious chocolate covered peanuts that Jim made.  We ate one right away of course.  Yum!  We went to our Good Friday Service at church tonight.  Pastor had 7 crosses set up and we each had a book that we read the reading for each cross out of.  Stacie was at the crosses with us.  We were so happy she was there.  It was such a meaningful service to get us focused on all Jesus went through and how His arms were wide open with so much love for us and everyone in the world.  Bill and I prayed for people who wanted prayer afterwards.  God moved in so many hearts including ours.  THANK YOU JESUS FOR WHAT YOU WENT THROUGH AND FOR TAKING OUR SINS AND BEARING THEM IN YOUR BODY ON THE CROSS.  IT IS FINISHED.

Allison sure had fun with all of the animals on Kimmy and Jared's farm.

She was so happy to be able to feed a lamb it's bottle.

Eli was so cute and was so friendly and sweet.

Beautiful sight!

Gathering eggs!

Love this picture of all the sheep with their lambs.

Jacob with the big ram in the background!

The shepherd gathering his flock!

This goat was beautiful.

This pair love each other.  They were so cute together.
Jacob caught one!

It was so nice out, Adam was in shorts and riding his bike.

My cute and sweet Adam!

Love this picture of Allison!

Sweetie Eli!  Who is that peeking in the window?

One of my favorites of my precious Jacob!  He was showing me how sturdy the perch was. He put the chick down next to him.
I picked Allison (a sweet girl I have know since she was a baby who comes to our Faith Rider's.)  up at 10:30 to head to Kimmy's.  It was sprinkling but quit right away.  We got to Kimmy's and got a nice greeting from the boys.  Kimmy had a bottle ready so we went out so Allison could feed the lamb.  We stopped in the chicken coop first and she held a few chicks.  Then she fed the lamb.  Next we went in the barn and looked at all of the other sheep and lambs.  She held a few lambs.  She also gathered some eggs that the chickens had laid.  We went in the house and visited for a while and then had lunch.  We had a nice surprise that Jared had work off.  He was out having fun on his new scooter, but got home to have lunch with us.  We all went back outside to see the animals again and walked back by the sand pit.  We had so much fun.  Thank you Kimmy and Jared.  Allison thanked me many times on the way home.  She was so happy.  We went to our Maundy Thursday Service at church.  It was the best service I have ever been to.  We each took a person not from our family and went up to communion together.  Then they would pray for each other if they wanted to.  God's love was so present and the love of our family of God at New Life was so amazing.    The message was on Jesus's command to love one another.  It was also on serving one another as He had done when washing the feet of His disciples.  We washed one another's hands.  The "King" was among us!  Thank you Jesus!

The flowers my girls got me for my birthday are still beautiful after having them over a week.

Jacob and Kenzie!  2 of my wonderful helpers today.  Kenzie cleaned the house for me and Jacob filled eggs for Easter upstairs.  Wish I would have thought to take a picture of that.  Then Kenzie and Jacob both filled more eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday.  They were great helpers!

I picked Hailey up after soccer and Max wanted to finish his homework quickly and come to our house too.  We ate and then Kenzie and Hailey filled the rest of the Easter Eggs.  Max didn't want to because he didn't want to see what was in them.  He wants to be surprised.

Hailey girl while we were eating!

Max excited because we are going to color eggs.

Here are my adorable helpers!  They had such fun coloring eggs.

Working away getting all those eggs done!

See how colorful the eggs are.  Kenzie wanted to use food coloring and vinegar instead of coloring tablets.  Their fingers were just as colorful.  We ended up reading on line how to get it off and broke open a dishwasher tablet and washed with that a few times.  Did it ever make our hands soft.

Hailey by the bright and beautiful eggs!
Bill had lots of fun with his colonoscopy.  He had lots of gas afterwards and had a hard time getting rid of it.  Much worse than the last one, but got a great report.  He came home and went right to bed.  He was feeling bad so went right to bed when he got home.  Was happy to have these sweet grandchildren come help me get ready for Easter.  They were all such great helpers.  I am blessed for sure!  Bill felt much better when he got up.

Hard to believe the ground was covered with lots of heavy wet snow when we woke up this morning and now it is in the 50's.  We loved getting to sit outside on Vikki's swing.  Kid's loved playing in the yard!

Happy to see these sweet grandkids.  Evan was here earlier.  Wish I would have thought to get a picture than.

Went to our weekly breakfast at Sullivan's this morning.  Chuck, Sue, Wes, Gayla, Kenny, Andy, Bill and I were there.  After breakfast we went to pick up chicken broth and white grape juice for Bill to have as he is having a colonoscopy tomorrow.  Made some jello for him too.  Then found out he couldn't have anything red, so made more that was lemon. Took a little nap and then got a call from Vikki saying Kimmy was at her house.  Got ready and went to spend time with them.   Nice that Melissa stopped with Evan and the two kids she babysits.  So happy to be with my family.
Left for home, and started doing Easter Baskets for grandchildren.  Had to stop and go to Texan for our Faith Rider's Officer's meeting.  Bill did a great job leading the meeting.  He's president now so that's one of his responsibilities.  Had a good turn out.  Everyone was there except Pastor Bob.  Came home and finished the Easter Baskets.  Trying to get everything done ahead so I can go to see Kimmy on Thurs. after I walk with Melissa.

Happy to be back in our own church and happy to have family come over afterward.

Was so happy to have Vikki, Peyton, and Isaac, Max and Jack come over after church.  I made chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and asparagus for our lunch.    Max and Jack kept asking for more chicken and Jack had two helpings of potatoes and corn.  Peyton and Isaac ate really good too.

How fun with all of these cuties.  We watched movies and had fun playing.  Great way to spend a Sunday!

Max and Jack love playing Lego Indiana Jones on the Wii.  I couldn't figure out what to do when I got it, but they knew exactly what to do.   Smart boys.  Jacob and Adam always know what to do too.

Evan, Bruce and Melissa came over after they were done having Evan's picture taken.  His pictures turned out  wonderful!  We looked at them on the computer. Evan loved the car papa showed him.  It has a small car that fits in to a bigger car.  There are buttons to push to make different sounds and have lights come on. Wish I would have taken a picture of Melissa and then I would have had a pic of everyone who came over.    Sure was a nice day with family.  Missing my Kimmy and family, but going over there again this week.
