4/18/18...Went to the Sportszone, Went to Birch Run and walked through the Camper Store, Went to the outlets to the Kitchen Store, Went to the Tool Store, Ate at Cracker Barrell,

Jack got right in the tree when I dropped them off.  The kids all love climbing this tree in Melissa's yard.

Sweet book Lyra in my class made for me.  She is 5

Sweet card and bag of candy Morgan made for me. I have the sweetest kiddos!
I went to the SportsZone and walked for 3 miles.  It felt good to be back there.  Christine was in town and Bill had told me she was there today.  She was leaving and saw me walking so came to walk with me.  It was so nice walking and talking with her.  Miss her since she moved to Ludington.  We saw her and her husband in Olive Garden when Hailey and I were there.  I left there and came home and made oatmeal.  Ate and then Bill and I went to Birch Run to walk through the camper store.  It was fun and we picked up a few things for the camper.  Went to the kitchen store after that and got a couple of more things for the camper.  Then we went to the Tool Store.  Bill told me I could go in a different store while he walked through there, but I told him I would go with him.  Well we only came out with one thing...they had a hoover wind tunnel 2 in 1 cordless vacuum regularly 149.00 on sale for $39.00.  It was small, light weight, has a hand held vacuum attached.  We picked one up for the camper.  It is nice because you can have the brushes going for the carpet and stop them for the hard floor.  So funny that I went in a tool store and found something to get.  On our way home, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch.  I had the grilled chicken tenders and Bill had the sirloin burger.
We got home and relaxed for a few minutes.  I went and picked up Hailey, Max, Jack and Evan.  I dropped them off at their house and went in to check on how Melissa was doing.  She looked better and said she was doing a little better, but still congested and coughing up stuff.  Bill went to the Marine Corp League Meeting and I went to teach my class at church.  So much fun with my kiddos.  Morgan made a card and put candy in a ziplock and gave it to me.  Lyra made a book for me and then read it to me.  My kids are so sweet.

4/17/18....Went to breakfast, Took Max's medicine to him at school, took Evan to the Dentist, then to McDonalds, Picked up kids from school, Worshipped and then watched the movie, What If for small group.

Yay, Lucy got her cast off today

Max, Evan, Hailey, Abby, Jack

Evan way up at the top

Evan enjoying his happy meal at McDonalds after the dentist

We went to our breakfast at Sullivan's.  Nine of us were there.  Came home and got the house and things ready for small group tonight.  Took Max his medicine at school for his itching from the scarlet fever.  After I gave that to him, I picked up Evan and took him to the dentist to get a small cavity filled.  We went to McDonalds after that and he got a Happy Meal and a Shake.  I got a $1 frappe with a coupon.  He played after he finished eating.  We stayed there until we had to pick up Max, Jack and Hailey from school.  Took the kids home and then came home and ate.  Got the coffee going and everything set for our movie night.  We spent time worshipping together.  Then we watched "What If".  Everyone loved it.  It's such a great movie. Very fun night!

The Temple Theater is so beautiful

Got up and got ready, then fed the birds. I put my new feeder out and the squirrel protector top from my feeder Kimmy gave me that broke worked.  Lots of birds came right away.  Kimmy and the boys got here right when I was feeding them.  Happy to see them and happy they b brought my hat and mittens Kimmy made me.  I put them on right away and finished feeding the birds.  Vikki and the kids got here right after Kimmy did.  Happy to see them too.  With everyone sick, we haven't been together very much lately.  We had our coffee and visited for a while.  Enjoyed getting to have the kids here and Lucy.  Lucy sure is growing and is so cute.  The girls and I went to pick up bread because the bread I took out of the freezer was hard on the edges.  Nice that 7-11 right by us had the kids favorite bread 2/$4.  We got it there and didn't have to drive all the way to Pat's in Freeland.
When we got back, we made sandwiches.  We adults had chicken salad sandwiches and vegetable soup.  The kids made lunchmeat sandwiches and one had peanut butter and jelly.  Kimmy brough hay for Melissa for her hamster.  At 2, Jacob had a dentist appointment to get a small cavity in his tooth filled. Vikki found a leather jacket for me on line and we were supposed to go get it in Midland.  Now we can't get it until Wednesday and Jared is going to pick it up for me.  So very nice of him to do that for me and save me a trip.  I left at 3:45 p.m. and went to pick up Hailey.  We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then to the Girl's of Grace concert.  We had so much fun and the concert was great and sure lifted up Jesus..  We parked in the ramp and got right out and out of town really fast.  Sure was happy about that.  We had popcorn and pop/lemonade at the concert.  Dropped Hailey off and went in to see Melissa.  She gave me Evan's stuff for tomorrow when I take him to the dentist. I forgot to kiss Bill goodbye before I left, so I sent him a text while at the Olive Garden with red lips and told him it was his smooch.  He sent me a text back with a emoji of a dog with it's tongue out.  Funny Funny!  Sure was a great day.

4/15/18...Church was cancelled because of bad weather, sleeted all day so had a restful day at home

Icy and windy out
Kenzie and Travis!  Wow Travis got a shave and a haircut.  Hardly recognized him.

Lunch....perfect for a day like today

At 7:30 a.m., we got an email that church was cancelled because of the icy roads.  I let everyone in our small group know and then went back to bed.  Got up and put Hillsong Worship on the TV and worshipped with them this morning.  Love their worship and their hearts for worship.  Amazing!  Read our Bibles and then watched some news.  Thankful the power is staying on and more thankful that Melissa called and she and Max are feeling better.  She slept good last night so more good news.  We were supposed to go to Timbers with the Beemers for lunch, but the roads were too bad so we decided to go another time.

4/14/18...A Stay at Home Kind of Day! Sleet, icy roads. high winds. Winter Storm Warning for two days! Hibernated all day! Made Homemade Soup, Didn't get to go to Girls of Grace Dance Recital

Made a big pot of Homemade Vegetable Soup

Outside the back door this morning

Driveway  covered in ice

Ice Everywhere

Got up and it was just raining out.  A half hour later it was sleeting out.  Stayed home all day. Melissa and Max were feeling a little better which I was happy to hear.  Made a big pot of homemade veggie soup which tasted good on a day like today.  Went out to get the mail and I made sure I walked on the grass as much as I could since sidewalks, driveway and road were all ice.  Walked very carefully.  Melissa and I didn't go to the Girls of Grace Recital Debbie had gotten me tickets to because it was too icy out and I did't want to drive on bad roads.
At about 7, our power went out.  I had told Bill a couple of days ago he should make sure the generator was ready since they were forecasting a storm.  He procrastinated and when the power went out, went outside in the awful sleet and wind to get the generator ready.  Well the battery was dead so he had to drive on the yucky roads to get a new one.  Came home and was trying to get it going and the electricity came back on.  He got it started right afterwards and came in. The power went off a couple of times after we went to bed, but came right back on.  In the morning, it was off for about 5 minutes but then came back on and stayed on.

4/13/18...Picked up Max and took him to the doctor. Went back to Melissa's and ate pizza for lunch. Got groceries...Picked Hailey, Jack and Evan up from school. Took Hailey to see "Miracle Season at the movies.

Max was so excited that the Star Wars Lego set he saved for so long came today

Max's rash

Hailey

Melissa called me and told me Max was all ready to go back to school, but then got a rash.  She asked me if I could take him to the doctor.  I got ready and read my Bible and then went to pick up Max.  He sure was happy his new lego set came.  Made up for him not being able to go back to school when he had woke up so excited to go back.  Then he got the rash.  Poor Boy.  I took him and the dr. said his antibiotic wasn't working and the rash was from bacteria from his strep throat.  She said to stop the antibiotic and give him Benadryl.  He is to start on a new antibiotic tomorrow.
We ate pizza when we got back to Melissa's.  I picked up some groceries in case we get the bad ice storm they are saying we will get.  Put some gas in the car too.  Got home and unpacked groceries and put them away.  Went and picked up Jack, Evan and Hailey from school.  Brought them to my house and Papa watched the boys.  Took Hailey and got her a Nacho BelGrande at Taco Bell.  Then she and I went to see the movie, Miracle Season, a true story about a volleyball team whose star player was killed in a moped accident.  I went to pay for the large popcorn and two large pops we got and the girl said I had enough points on my rewards card that it covered it all.  Didn't have to pay anything.  So nice!  Melissa went to Med Express again because her antibiotic ran out and she is still sick and congested.  I told her today she needed to go today before the ice storm hits tomorrow and the next day.  I was happy she did.  She messaged me during the movie and she had a great doctor there who listened to her and Bruce.  She did an X-ray and didn't see any pneumonia which makes us all happy.  She ordered a steroid and strong antibiotic so Melissa will be better soon now.  They showed the doctor a picture of Max's rash now and she is pretty sure he has Scarlet Fever which is the same bacteria as strep throat.  Said the new antibiotic the doctor ordered should clear it up.  Dropped Hailey off at home and came home to hibernate and watch Movies with Bill.

4/11/18...Went to Ollie and learned about the tragedy of the sinking of the SS Eastland. Interesting, but so sad that over 800 people died.

The athletes at Bethlehem working out and doing stretches.  Hailey is second from the right

Jack

Jack
Max was feeling  better today.

I got ready to go walking at the SportsZone and Bill called to see if I wanted to go to Ollie.  I changed and got ready to go with him.  There was a really good speaker who talked about the SS Eastland that sank in the Chicago River in 1915.  So sad that so many people died.  Quite interesting to hear how that ship kept being sold and how after it sank, they sold it to the navy.  They took the top two floors off of it and redid the whole ship.  President Truman took a water tour on it.
Bill and I went shopping for Storage containers.  He wanted to find one that had two drawers.  He found a three drawer one but when we got home it wouldn't fit.  He figured out they could be separated, so he took one off and it fit perfectly.  I picked Jack and Evan up from school . Took them home and helped Evan with some school work, then took him and Jack home with me so I could take them with me to church for Delta Club.  They helped papa pick up wood from the trees he had cut down.  They worked hard and were happy when papa gave them some money.  Good boys and hard workers. I only had hot dogs to fix so I made them and had chips and string beans with them.  The boys each ate two and said it was the best meal ever!  They are so cute!  I didn't even have buns to go with the hotdogs.  Taught my class and the kids were excited to get to plant tomato seeds and morning glory seeds in a little container they made from a toilet paper roll.  They can just plant the whole thing in the ground once it is ready to put outside.  They had lots of fun.
