5/8/18...Beautiful day in the 80's...Wes's Birthday, Went to Breakfast, Bill had a dentist appt., Went to Melissa's, Picked kiddos up from school, went to Aldi's, Showed the movie Unconditional for small group.

Phyllis had me take these pictures of our breakfast for Bill because he told her hardly anyone would be there this morning because of appointments and travel.  There were 12 of us there

Nora

She loved jumping and then seeing how messy her hair was in her shadow

Love this picture Vikki put on of Peyton watching the drone

I saw my first hummingbird of the year on my feeder this morning.  I was too slow to get a picture.  Went to breakfast.  Bill couldn't come because he had a dentist appt.  We had 12 there and Gayla brought donuts to celebrate Wes's Birthday today,  I couldn't order food then because I was too full, so just had coffee.  Went to Melissa's afterward.  Nora was happy to have me push her on the swing and wash the high chair and bed for her baby doll.  Melissa finally got signed up for a doctor in Saginaw.  Can't wait till she sees him.  What a relief.  I left when Nora took her nap and stopped Aldi's on my way home to pick up some pop for the movie.  Came home and got the house ready for small group tonight.  We had ten com!  We watched the movie Unconditional.  It was very good.   .

5/7/18...Went to Ginny's dad funeral, Got some groceries at Aldi's, Picked Melissa's kiddos up from school, Bill got his Billy Goat Lawn Vacuum back, Played 3-13 in the camper

Jack and Evan when I dropped them off at home

Bill using his Billy Goat Vacuum to pick up sticks! Go Billy Go!

I picked Melissa up at 8:40 to got to Frankenmuth for Ginny's dad's funeral.  We went to Tim Horton's and had an ice cap and a bagel.  We went to the funeral home for the service.  After that they went to the cemetery and then had a memorial service at the church.  We didn't go to the cemetery or memorial service.  Melissa didn't want to over do it.  Good news today as the Dr. she is going to called to say they would get back within 48 hours to as she was checking to see if they can do something to help Melissa while she waits for her appt. or a cancellation to get in earlier.  They were very nice and caring Melissa said.  I went to Aldi's to get a few things.  Came home and ate lunch and then did a few things around the house.  Talked to Vikki and Melissa.  Picked Melissa's boys up.  Hailey had an appt. for her foot.  Thanking the Lord it wasn't fractured, but just sprained.  She will have to have therapy on it the dr. said.  Cancelled our camping trip to Outdoor adventures and rescheduled it for June.  Too much going on now and lots of end of year things for Melissa's kiddos at school I want to be at.  Want to be around for Jacob and Adam's birthdays too and since they won't be able to take their puppy to Outdoor Adventures, thought I would be around to go see him and have him get to know me.  So excited for them to her him!!!  I made reservations to go to Bay Shore on Memorial Weekend with Wes and Gayla.  I will tell them they are going to have neighbors there now.  They had wanted us to go, but we had the other reservations.  Bill and I walked in the yard while he did his yard vacuuming.  I did some weeding in my flower beds.  We played cards in the camper.  I was the winner tonight!

Vikki, Kenzie and Travis were here too. Melissa and Bruce came at 3. Celebrated Easter! Had Easter Egg Hunt and then the kids found their baskets. Ordered pizzas and then went to see all the Eagle's by their nests before we picked it up.

Our small group met at Olive Garden for lunch today.  Such a great group of friends

What a surprise when we came home from the Olive Garden and Kimmy, Jared and boys had cut up the tree that had fallen and had it all stacked and everything cleaned up.  A big thank you to all of you.  What a super huge blessing.  We sure do love you all.

We went to church.  It was nice having Kenzie and Travis there.  After church, we went to the Olive Garden for lunch.  We had 17 of us come (3 visitors).  Dennis came later and isn't in the picture.
The food was great and we sure had a fun time.  We left there and came home to find Kimmy, Jared and the boys working in our yard.  We sure were blessed to see that tree gone and the sticks in the yard picked up.  What hard workers they are!  We went in the house and Vikki, Kenzie and Travis were there too.  Rody, Peyton and Isaac came after a little while.  Melissa, Bruce, Max, Jack and Evan came at 3.  Kenzie, Travis and Jared hid the eggs in the yard.  The kids were sure fast finding those eggs this year.  They had them all picked up in no time.  The Laux's dropped Hailey off and we were happy to have her here in time for baskets.  After the baskets were hid, we had the three youngest go first.  Then they hid Jack and Eli's basket and they went next.  Then Max, Hailey, Adam and Jacob found theirs.  It was funny because Vikki was trying to hide Jacob's basket and the bag his was in broke.  Jared had the idea to just sit it on the coffee table then.  Jacob looked all over and couldn't find it and then Melissa told him, "there's your basket" and showed him.  She didn't know he hadn't found it.  He had thought it was the adult's basket of candy.  We had a good laugh.
I ordered pizzas and Vikki, Kimmy, Travis, Kenzie and I went to see the Eagles before we picked them up.  The Eagle was out on a branch at the first next and we could see him so good and took pictures.  We drove down the road and saw two more eagle nests along the same road and there was an eagle out on a branch  just like the first one.  These nests are farther away from the road so we didn't get pictures.  Sure were amazing to see though.  We all loved it.  We picked up the pizzas and bread sticks and came home and prayed together, then ate.  The kids all had fun playing soccer and jumping on the trampoline.  What a great day celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus and hanging out with our wonderful family.  We sure are blessed!

5/5/18...Our Run for the Son ride. beautiful weather,77 degrees out, sunny, not real windy....great day for a ride to raise money for missions. Went to Ally's confirmation party, put outdoor swings, tables out with Bill

Our group before taking off

At the church in Lansing where we met for a police escort.  The policeman were Christian and got in our prayer circle and prayed with us.  They were so nice and did a great job escorting us.

Bill took a picture of us.  Some people went to find shade so aren't in the picture

Hailey and Ally at Ally's Confirmation Celebration.  We had a great time.  We sat with Melissa  an Bruce.  Also visited with Ally's grandma who just lost her husband 2 days ago.  She is such a nice lady.  Keeping the family all in prayer.
We met at Bill and Sabrina's house at 8:30 and turned in our collection money for Run for the Sun.
We met our goal of 6,000 and exceeded it.  $7,000 collected so far and more coming in.  It goes to Open Door Ministry, Jesus Film and Mission Ventures.  Such a blessing to be part of the Christian Motorcycle Ministry and raise money for such amazing ministries.  We saw the eagle sitting on a branch when we drove by on our way to meet at Meijer's for our ride.  We had a great ride and were blessed when a newly wedded couple came to the Capitol and wanted us to pray for them.  Then we stopped at a restaurant on the way home and the manager's wife died of cancer 8 months ago and his ly daughter is getting married in September, so he wanted us to pray for him as a group.  They blessed us with lots of baskets of banana bread, blueberry bread, cinnamon bread and biscuits.  Had a wonderful ride home and saw the eagle again on the way home.  We changed and went to meet Melissa and Bruce at Ally's Confirmation Party.  Love Ally and her family!  Melissa used a walker so she could get around good.  Can't wait for her to be healed of this.  Praying all the time.  Bill and I put tables, chairs out outside and hung all the swings.  Came in and made oriole and humming bird food and hung the feeders out.

5/4/18...Picked Melissa up so she could spend the day with me. Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac over and I watched them while Vikki went to her luncheon with her coworkers. Strong winds today. We looked out and a big tree had blown over in our yard and some big limbs. I took Melissa to see the eagles

Silly Peyton.  She found these suction cup pieces in the legos and stuck them to her head

Hailey, Evan, Jack and Max in my back seat on the way home.  Jack didn't want to sit in the middle.

Got the Easter Baskets ready for Sunday when we celebrate Easter as a family.  Everyone was sick on Easter.
I went to pick Melissa up at 9:30.  She came to spend the day.  We drove by the eagles nest and then in the cemetery back where the nest is.  Melissa took a pretty good picture for me.  We got to my house and it wasn't long before Vikki came to drop the kiddos off.  We were in the family room and moved to the living room and then noticed it had fallen.  We had warmed up roast, carrots and potatoes for lunch.  Melissa said she loved it.  That made me pretty happy.  She loved my brownies too.  The kids were excited to play with the legos I got at the garage sales.  On the way to take Melissa home, I went into the Dollar Store and got some sympathy cards and Confirmation cards for Melissa and I.  She stayed in the car with Peyton and Isaac.  As we drove close to where she lives, I said it didn't look as windy there so she wouldn't have any damage.  Well, we went in her house and I walked in the family room and right by the sliding glass door I could see her 3 seat swing had blown over.  Then I went to her dining room and her trampoline was upside down and had blown from the far corner of the lawn up next to the house.  YIKES.  Guess I was wrong.  I dropped Peyton and Isaac off at their house and went to pick up Hailey, Max, Jack and Evan.  Took them home and then came home and we went to Linwood Corners with Charlie and Sue for Fish Dinner specials.  I had whitefish, Bill had perch and Charlie had Whitefish and Cod. He let me try some of his Cod, but I liked the whitefish the best.  Sue got chicken strips.  We came back to our house and played three games of Euchre.  Sue and I won two of them.

Way to go Adam

Three wonderful boys...Adam, Jacob and Eli

Bill volunteered at the VA driving patients.  I baked cookies and made brownies for our officer's meeting tonight.  Made a roast, carrots and potatoes for dinner.  Did some cleaning.  Picked Hailey, Max, Jack and Evan up after school.  Took them by the Eagle's next and one of the eagles was sitting there on the nest and they got to see him really good. They were pretty excited.  I dropped them off at home and came home.  Melissa called and the dr. appointment with the new dr. was cancelled because she is too complicated for the physician's assistant she would have to start with.  I was almost panicky but then prayed and the Lord spoke to my heart that He provided the diamond when she needed it and He will take care of this.  I felt such a great peace.  When the roast was done, I packed up containers for Susan and took her a meal.  She is feeling much better she said and starting to get her energy back.  She had a liver transplant over a year ago and has had many complications.  Came home and ate and then got the coffee made and things set out for our officer's meeting.  Bill did a great job leading it and everything went well.  Bill Smith gave me the name of his family's doctor's and I called Melissa after our meeting.  She and Bruce had talked to a nurse whose kids go to school with their kids and she said she goes to the same doctors and really likes them.  Now I am praying she can get into them.
