5/5/18...Our Run for the Son ride. beautiful weather,77 degrees out, sunny, not real windy....great day for a ride to raise money for missions. Went to Ally's confirmation party, put outdoor swings, tables out with Bill

Our group before taking off

At the church in Lansing where we met for a police escort.  The policeman were Christian and got in our prayer circle and prayed with us.  They were so nice and did a great job escorting us.

Bill took a picture of us.  Some people went to find shade so aren't in the picture

Hailey and Ally at Ally's Confirmation Celebration.  We had a great time.  We sat with Melissa  an Bruce.  Also visited with Ally's grandma who just lost her husband 2 days ago.  She is such a nice lady.  Keeping the family all in prayer.
We met at Bill and Sabrina's house at 8:30 and turned in our collection money for Run for the Sun.
We met our goal of 6,000 and exceeded it.  $7,000 collected so far and more coming in.  It goes to Open Door Ministry, Jesus Film and Mission Ventures.  Such a blessing to be part of the Christian Motorcycle Ministry and raise money for such amazing ministries.  We saw the eagle sitting on a branch when we drove by on our way to meet at Meijer's for our ride.  We had a great ride and were blessed when a newly wedded couple came to the Capitol and wanted us to pray for them.  Then we stopped at a restaurant on the way home and the manager's wife died of cancer 8 months ago and his ly daughter is getting married in September, so he wanted us to pray for him as a group.  They blessed us with lots of baskets of banana bread, blueberry bread, cinnamon bread and biscuits.  Had a wonderful ride home and saw the eagle again on the way home.  We changed and went to meet Melissa and Bruce at Ally's Confirmation Party.  Love Ally and her family!  Melissa used a walker so she could get around good.  Can't wait for her to be healed of this.  Praying all the time.  Bill and I put tables, chairs out outside and hung all the swings.  Came in and made oriole and humming bird food and hung the feeders out.
