Sunday 5/19/19....Went to church, had Woody's hotdogs at church, 2 Teaching seminars

Kenzie called me when I was getting ready for church. I was worried at first because I'm not used to getting calls early on Sunday.  She just wanted to talk and was doing fine.  We went to church, but drove separate.  We had a special speaker who spoke on missions.  We ate hot dogs from Woody's under a big tent behind the church.  I've always wanted to try their hot dogs.  They were yummy.  Bill had to go to do an opening prayer for a 16 year old scout who became an Eagle Scout.  The marines presented him with an award too.  I stayed at church and attended two teaching sessions by Todd Ahrends on God and Missions.  It was really good.  It started pouring hard right before it was time to head home.  I talked to Vikki, Melissa and Kimmy.  I could hear Jacob in the background telling me he had gotten sleep.  He didn't get much on his trip.  He wants be beat me in steps with his fitbit, so I told him he could just sleep all day.  He's only 11,000 steps ahead of me.  Ha Ha!  Bill came home for a little while and then had to go collect money at Walmart again.  When he got home, we ate and then watched When Calls the Heart.

Sat. 5/18/19, Happy Birthday to my sweet and amazing grandson, Adam. Went to Max and Jack's track meet, Went to Melissa's, Visited Bill at Walmart, Went to Coco Loco's, Walked through Penneys and Sams

Happy  12th Birthday Adam!  I love you so much!

My zinnias are finally coming up in the little pot Hailey painted for me for Christmas.  I had to replant as I used different soil than the other two pots.  Got flowers in those, but none in the turquoise one. Happy to see them pop up now. Thanks Hailey!

Bill at Coco Loco's
Tried to call Adam to wish him Happy Birthday.  No answer, so I left a message.  Went  to Max and Jack's Track Meet.  It was in the 50's and cold.  I saw Hailey right when I got there, so went up to her.    Then I saw Max and Bruce.  Walked with them to the long jump.  So nice to see Max and Jack jump.  I got cold so didn't wait for another hour to watch them run.  Went to Melissa's and dropped off some clothes I found at garage sales yesterday.  Nice clothes for 50 cents or $1.  Great deals.  Found one shirt that looked just like Melissa would love.  She did and it fit her great.  So Happy!  We had a nice time talking and listening to Evan's piano, violin and recorder concerts.  He's pretty talented at playing notes that go well together on the piano.  I tried to call Adam several times during the day, and missed one returned call when I went outside to mail some cards and got side tracked with pulling weeds and trimming bushes  We finally connected and I was happy to talk to Adam and happy to hear Jacob was home and get to talk to him too.  Eli too!
I copied off my camping list and started making a list of what I need to get for our trip. Went to visit Bill at Walmart where he was collecting money for the Marine Corp. League.  After he was done, we were going to go to Culver's, but then he asked me if I wanted to go to Coco Loco!  I sure did.  I go there with Hailey (it's her favorite place) and she got me loving the Nacho's with ground beef and beans.  We had a nice date.  We came home and watched the movie Like Arrows.  It had a great meaning.

Finished dinner....Steak, green beans, potatoes, and fruit salad.  It was delicious!

Bill and I walked two miles and then came home and had breakfast.  I went to Melissa's early so I could sew her shirt for her.  I took her to therapy, and then I went to hear Max play his trombone in the Music Festival Competition.  I saw Max and talked to him just before he went in to the gym at Peace Lutheran.  The band sounded amazing and Max played great.  I decided to go to Jack's and get some fruit for a salad, and the subdivision next to the school was having garage sales.  Matt Starke had posted it on facebook, but I didn't think of it until I saw the signs.  I decided to go to some.  I called Bill and he came, but he just wanted to drive through in his truck and I wanted to walk.  He gave me some money to do more shopping.  I found lots of good stuff and got lots more steps.  Went to Jacks after that and came home.  Bill was mowing the grass.  Melissa called and said her doctor appointment after therapy went well.  I was happy to hear from her.  I showed her my garage sale finds.  I washed all the clothes I found.  Bill grilled sirloin steaks and I made potatoes up for him to grill.  Supper was delicious. We watched the news, game shows and a movie!

Lucy in the jeep we gave her.  It used to be Kenzie's.  Still runs great and they said she loves it.

Slept in until 8.  Went outside and read my Bible and listened to worship music.  Prayed outside too.  It was so beautiful out!  Lots of Orioles this year feeding off the oriole and hummingbird feeders.  Worked on cleaning the camper and did some packing too.  Put my worship music on while I worked.  Vikki came over and got the screen out of the bunkhouse for me. It is an emergency exit window and she practice opening them last year so I called her.  The screen had come out on a corner, so Bill put it back in.  I decided to just put it in the attic, because its on the inside of the window by the top bunk and it's just going to get bumped again.  We have the air going in there at night so don't need it. We walked down the road two houses and across the street and saw the big snapping turtle she had just tried to help get out of the road before it got run over.
It was in the neighbor's driveway, so we just left it.  After she left here, she sent me a picture and it was in the middle of the neighbor's yard, so it was making good progress and was safe.  Kimmy sent some more nice pictures of Jacob.  So happy to get them.

Jacob and friends

We walked at the SportsZone this morning.  I came home and had oatmeal and Bill went to help Dick Carpenter try to get his computer issue straightened out.  I sat outside and read my Bible, got some things done around the house, and then went to Melissa's.  I made some hummingbird food and filled her hummingbird feeder for her.  Then we went to therapy and I dropped her off.  Went to the dentist at 1 for a cleaning appointment.  I was happy I got done in time to go pick Melissa up on time.    I picked her up at 2, and she told me her therapist gave her the ok to use her cane in the community.  He did give her some restrictions though.  She was so happy.  We went to Olive Garden to celebrate her first approved outing with the cane.  We had a nice time and both had spaghetti, salad and breadsticks. I took her home and them came home and spent some time sitting outside watching the birds.  I have to confess, I took a little siesta out there too.  It was in the 70's and beautiful out.
Bill had to go run the meeting for Marine Corp League.  He got a burger there, so I didn't have to cook as I was still stuffed from lunch with Melissa.  I watched a good movie on Hallmark (tear jerker).  Kimmy got some pictures from Jacob.  I was sure happy she sent them to me.  Bill got home and we watched the news and then went to bed.

5/14/19...Went to breakfast, Went to Melissa's, Kenzie and Travis came over, Went to Frankenmuth

Hailey went with Bruce to Sebewaing. Bruce had to go to a Board meeting for BayShore and Hailey was hanging out with a friend from BayShore she has known a long time.  Her friend had to model clothes and since Hailey was coming her mom said Hailey would have to model with her.  Melissa didn't thing Hailey would want to, but she did and she's so cute in these pictures they took

We had a good time at our breakfast.  Ten of us were there. After breakfast I picked up a Mocha, a French Vanilla Cappuccino and Donuts and took it to Melissa's.  I made hummingbird food and filled her feeder for her.  We visited and then I left so I could get home before Kenzie came.  Kenzie and Travis got here and we went out to the shed for a while, Kenzie and I played around the world. She made her first basket and I made my first basket from far away.  It was all downhill after that ha ha.  When she realized I didn't know what I was doing, we quit.  Then we played HORSE instead.  I wasn't very good at making baskets.  I am out of shape when it comes to basketball.  Travis and Bill hung out in the shed for a while.  Kenzie and I walked around and looked at my flowers.  It was beautiful outside, in the 70's.  So nice having them here.  Bill and I went to Frankenmuth and walked through some stores, before going to a dinner Debbie invited us to.  It was a celebration of "Veterans still serving America" for 100 years.  The speaker was Jim McCloughan.  President Trump presented him with the Medal of Honor for his time in Vietnam as a Medic.  He saved at least 8 lives, risking his own.  He has a great testimony and it was so touching to hear him.  He was near tears a few times.  So glad Debbie invited us.  He sure was a brave hero who loved those over there risking their lives.  We came home and watched a movie.  Jacob left on his class trip to Washington D.C. at 8 p.m.  He called me while I was watching the sky divers jump.  I was so happy to talk to him, but it was hard to hear good because of all the noise around me.  Sure love that boy and I'm sure praying for his safety on his school trip.  The bus had a flat tire on the way.

Bill and I walked two miles at the SportsZone.  I met Stacie at Panera's and we had a delicious fruit salad.  We had such a nice time together.  Kimmy called when we were done eating and said she was headed to my house.  My Muck Boots came in and Kimmy, Melissa and Vikki all wanted to be there together when they gave them to me.  I picked Melissa up and headed to my house.  Vikki took Peyton and Isaac for their doctor appointment and then they came afterward.  They gave me my Muck boots.  They are so nice and so comfortable.  I love how they fold down too.  Melissa had to get home by 4:30, so Bill took her home for me.  Vikki, Kimmy and I went outside so I could try out my Muck boots.  Love them!  They had me stand in a bucket of water and no leaks.  Can't wait to wear them camping when there are puddles after rain.  Bill went to a baseball game.  The Marine Corp. League is sponsoring a team.  We watched a movie when he got home.
