Vikki, Peyton and I picked raspberries and ate them.  We gave some to Isaac too!  yummy!

Sat out on the deck this morning.  Went to Menard's and returned a few things, and then to the Dollar Store to get a shower card and some other cards.  Got ready for the shower and headed to the church.  The shower was beautiful with delicious food to enjoy and amazing desserts.  It was a long shower, so after the gifts were almost opened, I left.  Vikki and the kids were headed to my house to borrow the truck to get a dog pen and then to swim.  Bill went on a Veteran's motorcycle ride.

I talked to Melissa and Max's therapy dog met at their house with his trainer.  They passed the home test.  Max really loves this dog and it will be such a help to him.  This trainer is amazing and knows so much about training dogs.  This is all just an amazing move of God to get a dog so quickly and for such a great price.  Much prayer has gone into this, and to see God answer like this is awesome.

Rody, Vikki and Isaac took the truck and went to pick up the dog pen.  Peyton stayed here with me and hung out.  She wanted to play Tonk and have some chicklet chops. (chocolate chips, but she accidentally called them the other and it stuck).  I was ahead, but we quit when they all came back and will continue it another day.  Rody went home to put a new bathroom light up.  Vikki, Isaac, Peyton and I went swimming.  We girls went into the garden to look things over after that.  We found a tomato for Peyton to eat, lots of cucumbers and kohlrabi.  We came in and I cut up the Kohlrabi and Vikki cut up cucumbers.
The garden is amazing this year.

Friday, 7/15/21...Happy 14th Birthday Jack! We love you! Happy Birthday Pammy and Brittany too!

Happy 14th Birthday Jack!  We love you so much  We can't wait til you get back from soccer camp so we can celebrate with you.  You are such a wonderful and loving grandson!

Happy Birthday to sister Pam.  She's on a train headed to London in this picture.

Happy Birthday Brittany.  Loved seeing Brittany grow up from a baby to having  babies    of her own now.  Took this picture of her family after church.

It was fun going to the Dow Golf Event and seeing the Nascar with Bill's name on it and lots of names of other veterans.  So thankful for these heroes!  We had so much fun hanging out there and getting free lunch on this beautiful day!

Max shared his Tony's fries with me.
Abby came with Max.  She has to wear this cone so she doesn't lick where she had surgery on her paw.

Bill met Charlie at Tim Hortons for coffee.  I took my shower, then got ready and read my Bible.  Bill got home and wanted me to go to to see the Nascar with his name on it in Midland.  We went through the security check, then walked in to see the car.   So thankful Jared did this for Bill.  It was so cool to see.  They had a place with seating and flowers where we got waited on with smiles and ate our lunch.  So nice!  We had to be back in Saginaw for Bill to pick up James and me to pick up Max, so we only had 45 minutes which was plenty of time.

Bill picked up James and met with Pastor Ken.  I picked up Max and picked up a burger and fries for him to eat at my house for lunch.  Bill took James to lunch.  Max was happy to share with me all about the therapy dog he is getting and show me pictures   It was trained for kids with autism, so the dog was amazing and Max loved it right away.  It's name is Vader and it is a Sheltie.  He was so excited and happy to tell me about all he did with it yesterday.  I am happy for him.  Bill got home and Max went out to tell him about his dog right away.  We went and got shakes, then took Max home.  Melissa and Bruce were still gone picking up Hailey and Jack from BayShore Worship Camp and Soccer Camp.  When they got home, I texted with Jack some, and texted lots with Hailey.  She sent me her favorite worship song now.  It's called Holy Ground by Passion.  I love that she has a heart for worship.  She said they sang this song a lot there.

When we got home, I hauled some things out to the camper and then brought my clothes in from our trip.  Brought in the stools for Vikki as we don't need them anymore with the stools built in.

We sold my washer and dryer today.  $450 for the set.  I sure will miss them.  They have been great all of these years.  Thankful for my new ones I bought from Vikki and Rody.  They blessed me and gave me such a deal for the set.  The mother and her daughter in law came and talked for quite a while.  They were happy we were CMA members (they saw the sticker on Bill's truck) and they were happy Bill was a veteran.  We prayed with both of them for some sicknesses they are dealing with.  When we got to the girl's house, she told me her brother got killed in Iraq 17 years ago.  She showed me his picture.  So very sad.

Thurs., July 14, 2022, Took car in for new windshield, breakfast with Maddy, Went to camper places, Got new chairs for back room of camper

New chairs we got on sale today
Me relaxing, trying out the chair.  It's so comfy!
They don't take up as much room as the other chairs.  Also could get rid of the two stools we had out there.

Veggies I picked in the garden tonight

Yummy raspberries from our garden to eat for our snack tonight

Poor Stacie.  She feel on her step in the hallway that I fell on.  She hurt her foot and had it X-rayed.  She's waiting for results. Please pray for her!!!

Bill and I took my car and dropped it off to have the windshield replaced.  Maddy picked me up and we went to Bob Evan's for breakfast.  Bill had some errands to run.  After breakfast, Maddy brought me home and we sat on the deck for a while.  We walked and looked at the garden too and I showed her inside the camper.  Then we visited some more on the deck.  Bill got home and visited with us for a while too.  She had an appointment to have an EKG, so she had to leave.  Sure am praying for her A Fib to straighten out and her to be healed.  She is unable to take any medication for it because of being pregnant.

Bill and I rode the motorcycle to a few RV places to get prices on a new awning.  We went to Hamiltons, to General RV and to Camping World.  While we were at Camping World we saw the chairs we wanted on sale, plus Bill gets a Good Sam discount and a Veteran's discount.  We had to come home to get the truck and then go back to pick them up.  They are so comfy and nice an lightweight for the camper.

We stopped at Old Town for coney dogs and root beer on the way home.  It sure was good.  We came home and unloaded the chairs in the camper and worked on putting them together. Not much assembly was needed.  I just helped with the back of the chair and Bill did the rest.  I worked on putting shelves in the cupboards of the camper.

I talked to Kenzie a couple of times, Vikki a few times and Melissa once.  Also texted with them.  Stacie texted me to let me know she fell on the step in her hallway like I did.  Poor sweetie.  I got the girls praying for her right away.  All prayers are appreciated.

Wed., July 13, 2022, Rainy morning, Went shopping, Vikki, Peyton and Lilly came swimming, It rained again

Before picture of Laundry Room...Things didn't fit like before with the new washer and dryer, so Kimmy, Bill, Eli and Jacob got the washer and dryer in, then stayed and helped rearrange cabinets and things so they would fit.
After pictures of the laundry room.

Lilly and Peyton
Rody took this cute picture of Peyton and Isaac

Bill went to meet Charlie for breakfast. I went to Target to get a shower gift, but the everything on the registry was already bought by others.  I did get a couple of storage containers for the laundry room there though, and one for Bill's storage area for the camper.  I also went to Hobby Lobby and Aldi and got a couple of things.  I got a cute sign for the laundry room and also got a cute sign for my coffee area in the kitchen.  I rearranged some pictures on the walls too.

Vikki, Peyton and Lily came over.  The girls swam while Vikki and I visited, and talked to Melissa on the phone.  I blew the inner tubes up for them to play with in the pool.  It started raining and got pretty windy for a few minutes.  The girls got out and dryer off, then we remembered we needed them to help cover the pool because it was windy.  Peyton got back in and helped with one end, then Lilly got back in and helped with the other end.

Vikki brought us a really cute microwave table with shelves and storage containers.  She moved the microwave on it for us and it looks so cute.  It gives me lots more cupboard space.

ues., July 12, 2022, Made our coffee, ate breakfast, hooked up camper and headed home. Went shopping for laundry room items, hung out at Vikki’s, Zoom meeting with CMA leadership, unloaded refrigerator in camper.

Me and Bill relaxing in the camper
Re did the laundry room and bought hampers and a sign.
Got this sign for over the washer and dryer
Kit Kat loves to sit by me on the swing
Eli finally ate a cinnamon roll and loved it.  Maturity has come!

Drank our coffee and I had oatmeal.  Did the last minute things on list for closing camper, then did the last minute outside things and Bill hooked the truck up.  He dumped the tanks and I headed home ahead of him.  I was happy to get to talk to Kimmy and family while I was driving.  They were already in the U.P.  They are all excited about their Copper Harbor trip.  I am excited for them.  When I got home,I stopped at the neighbor’s driveway and moved their trash bins off on the grass so Bill would be able to turn in with the camper and not have to stop to move them.   I unloaded my bike, brought the laundry in and started it, unloaded some other things I had in the car and then watered my deck plants.  Gave Kit Kat some soft food and lots of attention too.  Hung the laundry outside to dry because I had sheets and blankets from the camper.

Bill got home, and I went out to help direct him, then we lowered the jacks, and put the slide outs out.  It was really hot out so, I decided to go shopping and to Vikki’s to hang out in her new home.  We had fun and enjoyed relaxing on the sunporch.  It started raining really heavy after we came in from a walk to look at the house behind hers.  We enjoyed Panda Express for lunch.  She showed me her bathroom all painted and the tub all caulked.  We went through the rest of the house again too.  It’s so beautiful and such a blessing for them.  Bill went to Midland to look at the car with his name on it for being a veteran.  Jared submitted his name which was really nice of him.  I get to go see it tomorrow with him.

I worked on the laundry room when I got home.  Scrubbed the walls to get black marks off.  Sure am thankful for Magic Erasers.  I put the items I bought in place and changed the brown bins to grey containers.  Got rid of lots of junk junk.  I picked up Souper Cafe egg salad sandwiches for dinner and we split some chicken noodle soup.  It tasted so good.  I hadn’t eaten any protein or drank any water, so was feeling shaky and a little weak before I ate.  I felt great immediately after eating.   We had a zoom meeting with the CMA State Leadership.  It went well.  Bill did a great job sharing what he’s planned for the State Rally already.  He does an amazing job getting everything together and organized.  Ron and Bev are helping us.  Bev and I are in charge of the bake sale to raise money for Run for the Son.  I looked at all the pictures on Kimmy’s blog she just caught up on.  I will read it tomorrow.  It’s 12:57 and I am going to bed.

Monday, July 11. 2022, More fun with Max today!

Max holding Lucy while we drove to Camping World in Houghton Lake, and then to St. Helen's to see where Max volunteers
Lunch at Purtell's

Of course we had to stop in Standish for ice cream

Made pancakes and bacon for breakfast.  Forgot to turn the vent on, so the smoke detector went off. Max tried to reach it on the stool, but couldn’t, so was bringing the ladder in when it just shut off itself.  We ate, then headed for Camping World in Houghton Lake.  Max shared his fruit slices on the way.  Max walked Lucy in Camping World the whole time.  We got an estimate on a new awning for the camper.  We drove to St Helen and went by the Ark, the animal rescue place Max volunteers at.  He was happy to show it to us.  We stopped at Purtell's in Pinconning for lunch. They got burgers and I got a Reuben.  Yum!  We stopped at Tacey’s for ice cream afterwards.  It started pouring out right before we got to the campground.  We made a run for the door, but got pretty wet.  Max took a nap and so did I.  When I got up, I rolled down the sides of the clam so they could dry good before packing it up.  I took my hammock down and packed it too.  Bill and I played 3-13.  He beat me by a few points, but we were both negative.  Max, Bill and I took the clam down and put it away in the camper.  I took Max home while Bill packed up all the outside things before it rained more.  Bruce had just grilled burgers, so Melissa got one ready for me to go.  Kimmy called me to see if I could pick up the books she wanted from my house or Vikki’s. and meet Jared with them.  I’m always happy to help if I can.  I left Melissa’s and went to Vikki’s to pick up the watchman books.  She showed me her newly painted bathroom.  It looks so nice.  I left and called Jared and met him at Cracker Barrel to give them to him. They always read them together as a family on their Copper Harbor trip.  I got some gas at Meijer and drove to the campground.  I got 65 mpg for the whole trip there.  I sure was happy about that.  I packed the inside stuff I could up so we don’t have much to do in the morning.  It was raining pretty hard when we went to bed.
