Lucy on the motorcycle

Got up at 6:30.  Got ready, then everyone else got.  We ate, then went to our classes.  We were excited to go to our Ephesians class.,  it was ggreat again today.  Tomorrow they will have 50 outside seats because so many are coming.

We went for our cookie break in between classes, then went into the tabernacle. Hailey went to the class on generosity.  We decided to leave and go to the generosity class. It was really good.  We came back to the camper for lunch.  Vikki and I went to the Adult swim.  My friend, Jody, asked me to pray for her shoulder surgery.  She got injured in Mexico and was sent to an 8 bed hospital . They didn’t have the right size plate but put it in anyway so now it has to be redone. Prayers appreciated!  We came back to the camper and relaxed.  Bridgette, Bethany and Lily hung out at our camper. Bill and I went to visit Bev.l because Jim had to go to the VA hospital in Ann Arbor.  After we visited her, we visited Ron and Barb.for a while.  We came back to our campsite and I called and ordered pizzas to be ready to pick up at 5:30.  Bill and I went and picked them up and added breadsticks and cinnamon sticks.  Melissa and Brucecwere at our campsite when we got back.  We all ate except Max wasn’t hungry.  Bridgette ate some pizza with us too.  We all went to the evening service then.  We talked to Daniel’s dad and he told me when Mykenzie would come to their place here, he would read a story to her and dmDaniel and it was such a good memory. They were good friends and Daniel’s dad always loved good Bible stories.  He said what really touched him is that when Kenzie got older she came and told him how much she loved his stories.  We have so many BayShore memories over 22 years.  It was a great message on the Holy Spirit.  There was awesome prayer afterwards. I prayed for Becky. We came back and Bruce and Melissa, Max, Jack and Evan got ready to leave.  I sent a drumstick with Evan because they had got ice cream on their ride and Evan didn’t.  We had drumsticks too. Bethany came in with Peyton and wanted pizza so I heated a piece for her. She told me I was a good grandma.  Bill and I played 3-13 and I won. -58 to 147. I haven’t won for a while.
We went to bed. The three girls came in for a while, then went out to their tent.  The got noisy a few times so at 11:30 I opened my window and told them they needed to be quiet so they didn’t keep our neighbors awake, the fell asleep right after that and there was silence.

Monday, 7/28/25, Went to class on Ephesians, had cookie lbreak, went to class on discipleship, lunch at the camper, Bill left for Elder’s meeting,

Hailey and Lucy
Peyton and Bridgette
Isaac

They announced there could be a storm while we were in the tabernacle. Vikki said she would go put our awning in.  Lots of people left to do the same.  I thought about Vikki having to close up the Clam, having to put the chairs, clothes racks with towels on them in the Clam and went to help. her.  Melissa and Bruce had been listening to the worship outside and were just leaving. The saw Vikki and she asked them to help her. They were almost done when I got there.

I got up at 6:45 a.m. and got ready, went outside and sat in the Clam, Hailey went home to pack for the rest of the week.  Bill, me, Vikki and Rody went to the class Tyler taught in Ephesians.  It was so good. After class there was a cookie and coffee break.  Then we went into the tabernacle for Engler’s class on discipleship.  It was really good.

We came back to the camper and had lunch. Vikki and I went to the adult swim. It was so nice and refreshing on this hot day.  We came back and sat under our awning in our wet suits to stay cool. Bill left for home to go to an Elder’s meeting and pick up Starbuck gift cards to bless Heartsong with.

Rody and Isaac went to town. Rody surprised me and brought me back a Frappe too and picked up the plastic spoons I needed.  That was so sweet of him.  Hailey, Vikki and I played dice. I won.

Evan, Bruce and Melissa came back. Evan is staying til after Impact tomorrow night.  We all were so happy.  I made sirloin burgers on the grill.  I started boiling corn on the cob and Vikki watched it inside.  We were eating when they came. They had eaten on the way.  We went to the tabernacle.  I saved seats for Wes and Gayla by us near the fans because she said the heat in the tabernacle really bothered her in the morning. Becky and Dave sat with our family too and so did Ronny.  Bridgette sat by Peyton too.  We all had ice cream afterwards. Someone paid for everyone’s ice cream. So nice! Vikki and I took showers. Bill got back right after we were done.  Vikki, him and I played 3-13.  He won!

Sunday, 7/27/25 Day 2 at BayShore, Went to Sunday School, Went to church Service,

Evan, Hailey and Peyton before church

Worship was awesome during church! Heartsong led and they are amazing worshippers!

Vikki wanted to go swimming so I went with her.  When we got there the pool was closed so we just took showers to cool down.  We sure had a good laugh!
Vikki and Rody relaxin
Bill and I playing 3-13
Bridgette, Peyton and friends at the youth center
Isaac, Peyton and Evan relaxing in the shade. It was a 90 degree day!

Got up at 6:30.  Got ready, then went outside and read my Bible and drank my Mocha.  Bill had to leave to go to Midland Church of God for a CMA presentation.  I made his coffee.  The bunk wouldn’t go up.  I had Bill look at it.  I remembered he dropped a big screw in the track and didn’t get it out, so he had to leave, but Rody got it out and it worked fine. Praise the Lord! There were 50 bikes at the church he went to.  I love how God is growing CMA!

When the kids got up, I went in and got the cereal out and bowls and spoons.  We all ate, then Hailey and I went to the adult Sunday School and Peyton, Isaac and Evan went to Impact.  Ours was so good and the kids loved theirs.  We had a 15 minute break, then we all went to the tabernacle for church. Such awesome worship and an awesome message.

We came back to the camper and made sub sandwiches.  Evan wanted cabbage buns.  Bill and I played 3-13. He won!

Melissa, Bruce and Jack came to  visit.  The walked around to visit with friends.  Bev and Jim came to visit us. Then Gayla came over too.  Hailey went to Breanna’s.  Bill and I took a walk and visited Ron and Barb. Then we visited Becky Dave, Brian, Holly, Nick, Kara and their baby.  Bill cooked hotdogs on the grill.  We all ate.  The air conditioner wasn’t cooling so it got warm in the camper. This happens at BayShore.  Melissa, Bruce, Evan and Jack left and we went to the evening service. It was so good too.

After church I told Bill we should try the generator and see if the air works with it.  The electricity was totally off when we got back.  He started the generator and the air conditioning worked great.  The problem is at the electrical box. Hailey went on the young adult bus surprise trip.  It was at BayShore at the point. They had pizza and had a great time and she met new friends.  Bill turned the generator off and plugged the electric cord back in. The air worked great. It was just too hot today and too many campers.

Bill, Vikki and I played 3-13.  Bill won big time.  We waited up til Hailey got back at 10 so we could hear about her adventure.  She had a fun time.  Isaac is really missing EVAN. They will be back Tuesday. Hailey is here for the whole week now! Yay!

Saturday, 7/26/25, Went to Rachael’s shower, came to BayShore, FaceTimed with Kimmy, Jared, Jacob and Eli in Copper Harbor

Got up at 6:30 and did some last minute things on my list.  Then went outside and pulled the weeds around the onions.  Picked some amazing green peppers and some cherry tomatoes.  Packed my last minute things in the camper and Bill packed his. He closed the slide outs and loaded the motorcycle on the trailer.

I gotready and went to Rachael’s baby shower. Sat with Debbie Davis, Catherine and Kristin.  Had a good time and the food was all super delicious!

I came home and turned the pool filter off.  Made sure Kit Kat was outside and holder her Goodbye.  Made Bill a coffee and me an iced coffee.  Bill couldn’t find his camper keys so I helped him look. Finally he remembered he put them in his shoe.

We left and he drove the motor home and I followed in my car. He pulled the motorcycle.

We started setting up.  It rained a little bit not bad.  Hailey and Evan got here a half hour after us.  Evan staked the mats down and Hailey helped.  Ron and Barb came to our campsite and visited for a little while.  Vikki and Peyton got here next.  Hailey and Peyton went around and talked to friends.

Isaac, Evan, Vikki and I set the tent up.  I only helped a little, then started setting other things up.  Rody and Bill came out and helped us all set up the clam.  Isaac staked it down.  It went super fast with all the help.

We ate cabbage buns for dinner.  Then we went to the evening church service. Heartsong did the worship. Such awesome worship. The message was on prayer and it was awesome too!  Bill and I went up and prayed afterward.

We all had ice cream afterwards and then went into the store.  We came back to the camper and sat outside.  The kids played ping pong, walked around, hung out together and Evan and Isaac went to the store.

Vikki, Bill and I played 3-13. Bill was the winner. We all snacked and the kids who didn’t eat earlier ate.  Then we went to bed.

Friday, 7/25/25, Dropped off two lamps to Melody, picked up free Oreo’s from Kroger, went to Ollies, went to Good Times pizza, went to LWalgreens, went to Walmart, went to Aldi, went to Jacks, went to Lapeer, Vikki and the kids came over, made cabbage buns, packed stuff in camper

Went to Bike Night in Lapeer.  We got there and had to sit and wait while a person sang the Star Spangled Banner.  Bill was hot so he took his helmet off while waiting.
Bill and our pretty blue Trike.  the guy next to us helped him watch for the curb when he parked because it angled.  He was super nice.  I gave him a card with the details for our State Rally and he said he wanted to come and we would see him there.
Me in my bright pink CMA shirt
Vikki and I made the cabbage buns when I got home.  It was after 8 p.m.
I’m glad Vikki reminded me to get a picture with Peyton and Isaac.  I’ve been forgetting to get pictures sometimes.  Vikki did Peyton’s hair and it only took 6 hours this time.  She got a beautician’s chair.  She sure did an amazing job.  I can’t wait to try it when she trims my hair.

I got up at 7:30 and read my Bible right away and did some praying.  Bill slept in til after 9.
I saw that Kit Kat caught a vole.  She doesn’t bring them up to the door anymore.  I was happy to see she is doing her job.  I went to Melody’s house and dropped off two lamps for the Rescue Mission Impact Design Ministry.  Then I went to Ollie’s and got two books for the shower tomorrow and also a card.  I went to Kroger after that and got my free family size Oreo’s with my coupon.  After that, I went to Good Time Pizza and picked up for large bags of dough for the cabbage buns I am making later.  Vikki told me their dough is really good and pretty cheap.  4 bags cost $7.  I headed to Walgreens to pick up the picture of what’s in the camper storage bins.  That was $1.75 with a code.  Next I went to Aldi’s and got a few things for our camping trip.  I went to Walmart and prayed and found laminate quickly.  I want to cover the index cards listing what is in each bin.  Yay!  I sure thanked God too.  It was so fast.  I went to Jack’s after that for their great deli lunchmeat and also some sirloin burgers.  Then finally, I headed home.  I sure was happy to get there.  I put everything in the camper that is going with us.  The rest I put away in the house.

I packed my clothes I need for this trip and moved some from the last trip into the house.
Just need to pack last minute things in the morning.  Vikki came over and put some of her clothes in the closet.  We were going to make the cabbage buns, but the dough needed to raise more.  She left and will come back when I am home from our trip to Lapeer for Bike Night.

It was a wild ride on the way to Bike night.  Bill was running behind so we went most of the way on the expressway.  Not my favorite thing to do.  We got there and listened to the Star Spangled Banner being sung.  We waited on our bike while we listened.  We saw Jim’s bike, so we walked around and looked for him.  Talked to some really nice Christians, who were on fire for God.  They had a booth there.  Jim had been to the church they go to and knew them.  We got a pop and walked around looking at all the bikes and handing out some State rally fliers.  Bill wanted to walk down the street one more time, but I told him I had to get home to make the cabbage buns.  I let Vikki know when we would be home and she came over when we got home.  The ride home was so nice.  It was all country roads and a nice relaxing speed.  So fun!

I changed when I got home, started watering the garden and the front plants along the sidewalk.  Then I came in and started making the cabbage buns.  The dough was raised nicely which made it easy.  Vikki got here and helped me finish the first tray and did two others.  The kids are excited to be going to BayShore.  It’s their favorite week of the year.
I’m glad Hailey and Evan are coming tomorrow and spending the night.  Hailey said she is going to drive up some nights during the week too.  She has to work this year.

The cabbage buns turned out really yummy.  I sent Hailey a picture.  She loves them and it has been our BayShore tradition to have them since she was really little.  Bill and I tried one because we didn’t eat dinner.  Yum!  Vikki had already ate, so she and the kids didn’t want any. The kids don’t like them, even though they have never tried them.

I brought the cards in from the bins and laminated them.  Will tape them in tomorrow.

Thursday, 7/24/25, Filled all of the bird feeders, cleaned and filled bird baths, loaded stuff in camper refrigerator, went to General Camping store and also Camping World, dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Hailey and Melissa, Hailey and I went to Meijer and returned pop cans and she bought a cute pair of slacks, I took her home and visited for a while, Went back to Meijer and did my camping shopping and used my coupons, loaded stuff in camper when I got home, watered flower garden since we didn’t get the rain predicted.

Nice picture Kimmy sent me of the Copper Harbor Vacationers.  I sure do love them and miss them.
Took picture of each bin we organized to go with the list of everything in them.  Posting them so I can look them up anytime and run new pictures if needed.
This is the extra food/paper product/pop/water bin
This is the Clam, clam posts and mat, two camping chairs, fishing pole, tackle box, inside folding chair, shower board mat, name sign, broom and dustpan bin
This is the outside chair bin
This is the outdoor clothes racks/red collapsible crate/outside folding tables, and outdoor mats bin

This is the electrical stuff/extension ladder/tub with sewer stuff/gin
This is the outside water compartment/paper towels/tub of tools/small propane/bin
This is the wood blocks for jacks/sewer hose guide rest/hoses
Grill/grill cover bin

Nice to have it organized and have lists and pictures.  Yay!  We also have an empty small bin for shoes, and one on the other side I’m putting water bottles in.

We got up at 8:30.  Bill read his Bible right away.  I went outside to load the camper refrigerator because I had turned it on last night and wanted it to have stuff in it so it didn’t run a lot.  I also wanted to turn the air on because it was supposed to be aa really hot humid day.  They got that right.  Wish they would have got the rain right.

I scrubbed bird baths and filled them and filled all of the feeders and put suet out too.  Worked up the soil in my flower garden so it stays nice and weed free.  Also watered where we planted the grass under the huge maple tree because even if it rains, it doesn’t get wet unless it’s a really good downpour.  Bill fixed the combination locks on the back door of the house and on the shed.  They needed readjusting and battery checks.  I was happy he put a new metal handle on the camper door the other day and took off the plastic one that didn’t work so well.  He’s been doing lots of good fixit jobs which I really appreciate.  We changed the filter in the pool today.  The pool is nice and clear, but the filter was out of chlorine tablets so it’s a good thing we checked it.  I will fill the Chlorine tablet floater tomorrow for when we are gone.

I came in and read my Bible.  Today’s reading was Psalm 119.  The longest Psalm and just such a great one.  I loved reading it so much and so many scriptures in it I have memorized.  It really touched my heart so much.  Bill sat next to me and was catching up on his phone stuff.

We decided to go to Birch Run to General RV around 3:45.  We went to Camping World after that.  I called Hailey and asked if she would want to meet us at Texas Roadhouse and eat with us and she texted back yes right away.  Then I was thinking maybe Melissa would like to come with her and Bill said at the same time to ask if Melissa would want to come and Hailey said yes right away.  We let them know when we would get there and we got there within a few minutes of each other.  Our food was delicious and we sure had a good time.  I forgot to take pictures even though I mentioned it.  Hailey rode back to our house with us and Melissa headed home.  Hailey and I returned pop cans.  She’s been helping me ever since she was little and I sure appreciate her.  She wanted to look in the ladies clothing section after.  She found a really cute pair of green slacks and got them.  I took her home after that as it was getting late and she needs her rest for her hard job.  I gave her my Mr. Coffee pot from the camper that makes regular coffee and also does pods.  I took it in and showed her how to use it and also how to change the filter.  She was happy to have it for her apartment and I was happy it found a good home.  It was nice seeing Jack and Evan and getting my hugs, even though I forgot to take a picture of them too.

I went back to Meijer and got all the groceries on my list and got to use lots of coupons.  Tomorrow I just have to go to Aldi for three things and to Kroger to use my free Oreo cookie coupon.  Also picking up bread dough for cabbage buns, so I can make some tomorrow.  While I’m out I’m going to drop to nice lamps off to Melody for the Rescue Mission Impact Design Ministry.

I did laundry in the evening.  Just a small load, but good to get it done.  Relaxed in the evening and worked on my blog.  Marie called me today and they are keeping her longer and removing her blood clot tomorrow.  That is answered prayer.  We didn’t want her going home with that problem.  A really wonderful doctor Melissa had when she was in there, got the ball rolling and made sure it’s getting taken care of.  Praise God!  It was a great day.

Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Wed., 7/23/25, Read my Bible out on the deck, watered the back small garden, Bill and I took everything out of the storage compartments and organized them, put clean sheets on the bed, Stacie came for a visit, Bill picked up Shay’s water, I took back a swim suit to Marshalls, did some shopping, went to Sam’s, we went to visit Marie, watered front plants and small garden again.

Beautiful morning to read my Bible on the deck.  Kit Kat was right by my side
The farmer was combining across the street
Stacie came over for a visit and we hung out in the camper
We had a nice visit with her
She was on her lunch break, so ate her lunch at our table. She looked so beautiful all dressed up and with her beautiful smile.
We drove to visit Marie and in the city there’s a house with a small yard and not in the best area, but the plants and flowers are just amazing in the yard.  I love driving by it!  The front is even prettier.  My pictures aren’t the best.
Bill with his yummy hot fudge sundae
Bill enjoying his hot fudge sundae.  He told me to take a picture and send it to Vikki.  She loves Woody's

We slept in til 8:30.  Bill drank his protein drink and then read his Bible.  I started a load of wash, ran the pool filter and watered the back garden with the pumpkins, squash and cucumbers.  Try to get things that take electricity done between the hours of 7 pm at night til 10 am in the morning when it’s cheaper.  After I got that done, I sat out on the deck on the swing and read my Bible with Kit Kat by my side.  It was such a beautiful morning.  I put grape jelly in the feeders and also some oriole liquid food.  I’m all out of bird food, so need to get some today.

Bill and I organized the storage compartments outside the camper really well.  I wrote down on index cards exactly what is in each bin and will tape it to the door.  I am also going to take a picture of where things are inside the storage containers and will put that inside on the door also to help Bill when he puts things back.  It is so nice having it done and everything fitting so well.

Stacie came over on her lunch time and took a tour of the camper then sat at the table and ate her lunch.  She wanted to pick up lunch for us, but we already had lots of food we need to eat.  We had the nicest visit and she stayed and didn’t have to hurry off.  She saw what she thought was a fox back walking by the neighbor’s pond and then coming into our yard.
Another one came along the woods a ways behind this one.  The first one didn’t look very healthy.  Bill zoomed in and took a picture.  He let our neighbor know behind us.  He said he’s seen them and thought they are baby coyotes.  When we looked at the picture, that’s what they look like.  He told Bill they didn’t look healthy.

That was our excitement for the day.  Bill had to go get water from Shay’s, and Stacie had to leave to get back to work, so I went to Bay City to take a swimsuit back to Marshall’s.  Today was 30 days and that’s how long I had to take it back.  We’ve been gone lots ever since I got it.  I found a cute top on sale there.  Next I went to Dunham’s to look for shoe laces for Marie.  I found the kind she wanted.  I went to Jack’s and got different kinds of bird food and some suet next.  Then I went to Sam’s Club and got some groceries I need for our camping trip.  I came home and Bill helped me carry everything in.  I put the meat in the refrigerator and then we left to go visit Marie and take her the shoe laces.  Roy was coming out of the door when we got to the entrance door.  Bill helped him take Marie’s things and put them in his car.  Marie is going home on Friday.  She seemed to be doing much better today as far as standing and turning to sit in a recliner chair.  I was happy to see that.  We had a nice visit and I took Marie’s shoes off and took her old laces out (Bill had to cut them in places because they were so bad they bunched up and wouldn’t pull through).  I put the new laces in and they fit perfectly and are so nice and easy.  She said the therapists have been having a hard time with them and so has she.  I was thanking the Lord that they were so easy to find.  We left at around 8:30 and Roy walked out with us.  Bill and I stopped at Woody’s and he got a large hot fudge sundae and I got a medium one.  I did more watering when I got home.  Watered the front area where the new plants are and also watered the garden with the pumpkins in the back again.  Started the refrigerator in the camper, so I can fill it tomorrow.
Eli, Adam and Jacob enjoying a nice swim while camping at Copper Harbor

Relaxed and worked on my blog.
