I got to Melissa's house a 9 a.m. and spent some time there before we left for the Music Fest.  We went to hear the advanced choir first.  They sang beautifully.  I couldn't put videos on here but they are on facebook. We went to hear the advanced band after that and both Max and Hailey were in it.
They did great and sounded so good.  After that we got a pretzel and cheese and popcorn and split them and also pops.  Max was happy that his mom brought his tennis shoes. He was going back to school and wanted comfy shoes.  Hailey did great playing her trumpet in a trumpet trio, and also singing in her double duet.  They got all ones and one two.  One is the best they could do and 4 was the worst.  After each performance, a specialist in that field would critique them.  They would tell them what they did great at and then tell them what they could do to sound better.  Then they would have them do it.  It was amazing how the kids did what they said and sounded so great.  During lunch time, Melissa and I picked up Grand Turkey Club Sandwiches at Arby's and came to my house and ate and than rested afterward.  When we went back, I prayed for a close parking spot for Melissa.  Wow, we got one right in front of the door.  Our other spot was quite far for Melissa to walk.  Hailey wanted to see Amber sing, so we watched her and then left.  Hailey was done and came with us.  We went to Starbucks and Hailey and Melissa got frappes.  We dropped Melissa off at home and Hailey and I went to school for her to get her book bag and to pick up the boys.
I made perch, fried potatoes, peas and strawberry shortcake for dinner.  I called Louise to see if she wanted me to bring her some strawberry shortcake.  She said she was at Wes and Gayla's eating and having rhubarb pie. They invited us over to play cards.  We went and I took Louise strawberry shortcake for tomorrow.  We had fun visiting and playing 3-13.  I was the winner.
