Jack #2 going for the ball

The ground was white this morning, about 1 1/2 inches of snow.  It was beautiful outside.  I got ready, ate and did my devotions, then Melissa called to remind me to pick the boys up at 11:30 since they have a half day of school.  I was glad to get the reminder since my phone hadn’t reminded me yet.  I picked them up and treated them to shakes and hamburgers at McDonalds.  They were so happy!  I took a Frappe and hamburger to Melissa when I dropped the boys off.  She was happy too.  I came home and did a half bushel of apples.  Put some in the freezer and made applesauce out of the rest.  Bill said it was delicious applesauce.  I used my new attachment to my Kitchen Aid Mixer and it worked great.  I sent Kimmy a video since she has the same attachment.  We talked on the phone while I was doing apples.  She sent me a picture of their sub floor down and it looks great.  They are amazing and are such hard workers.  Vikki called and I talked to her for a while too.  Bill and I ate round steak and mashed potatoes, and then I went to pick Melissa, Max and Evan up.  We spent some time here, and then Bill drove us all to Jack’s basketball game.  Bruce had paid for all of us ahead of time which was so sweet of him.  Vikki and the twins came too and he paid for them too.  We all had fun watching Jack play.  He sure runs fast.  Did great at passing the ball.  Melissa and Bruce had to go for conferences for the boys during the game.  When the game was over, Bill and I headed to our officer’s meeting at Bill and Sabrina’s house.  We had a really good meeting.  Such a great group of people.

Wed., 11/6/19..Cleaned freezer out, Hailey and Celeste went to Youth Group,Taught my kids class at church

Put the head on the turkey and the feathers in and then it started snowing...should have made it a jacket ha ha

Pretty with snow falling on my rosebushes

Love how you can see bi snowflakes falling in this picture

Here is a fine snowman that Eli made....I asked him if he made that snow kitty too

I absolutely love this picture
Cleaned the freezer out upstairs today.  Made round steak and gravy in the crockpot.  It snowed and was pretty cold out for this time of year.  The snow was pretty coming down.  Went and picked up Kenzie's birthday present at Michaels.  Eli had Kimmy send me pictures of the snowman he made. Hailey and Celeste went to Youth Group at New Life.  The Youth Leader at Bethlehem left, so Hailey wanted to try our Youth Group.  Taught my class at church.  My K-1 kids were a little noisy tonight, but they were good and we had lots of fun.  The fifth grade were serving the snacks tonight, and when Jacob, one of my former students came in, he told me he missed me and wished he was still in my class.  He was so sweet.  He was a really great kid in class.   I miss having him.  One of the kids in my class wanted prayer because he had a nightmare last night, so I asked if anyone wanted to pray for him.  A boy did, and prayed a really nice prayer. Then he told me that was his first time praying for someone like that.  So proud of these kids.  It was a snowy mix on my way home.  Happy to be home in my warm cozy house with Bill.  Melissa said Hailey loved Youth Group and our new leaders.  She had fun talking to everyone, and said she wanted to keep going and would go by herself if Celeste can't go. I am so happy that she likes it.

Tuesday, 11/5/19...Went to our breakfast, Had small group

Today's picture

Picture from last year on 11/2

Our big maple tree is usually bright yellow by this time.  It looks like the weather has given us a change in color this year.  Miss it being bright yellow.

Woke up and the kernel burner was out and a message was on it.  It needed cleaning.  Went to our breakfast.  On the way, I saw the eagle out on Midland Rd.  It looked so beautiful sitting in the tree and was nice and close.  Got to Sullivan's and it was funny because Sue brought a birthday card for all of us to sign for Louise, Gayla brought get well card for Louise, and I brought a sympathy card for our waitress Jenny for all of us to sign.  Guess it was card day!  Went to Aldi's and Sally Hansen's after breakfast.  Came home and cleaned out and vacuumed the kernel burner while Bill cut the grass and picked up leaves.  He was pretty cold out there with the wind blowing so hard.  Temp was in low 40's, with no sunshine.  I had a lot of soot on my hands after the big cleaning job.  It always looks very nice after cleaning it though. Cleaned the house.  Got a short rest time in.  Had small group.  Everyone was here tonight and it was a really good message.  Lots of discussion and also very good food Scott brought for our snack.  Got on my phone after everyone left and there was a cute video of Eli playing Amazing Grace on his recorder in my messages.  He wanted Kimmy to send it to me.  I sure loved seeing it.  He played it so good and it's such a great song.  Made my day!  Talked to Melissa and Kimmy on the phone.

Monday, 11/4/19, Looked at Sheds for Bill, Went to Kimmy's, Visited Joel, Went to Trinity Riders Meeting

All the sheep at Kimmy's were laying down today

Visited Joel and he stood in this the whole time we were there.  So good to see him standing.

We were on call this morning in case we were needed to go to the hospital to be with Roy during his heart cath and give him a ride home.  His neighbor took him at 5:30 p.m., but Marie didn't know how long she could stay.  I talked to her on the phone a couple of times, and Roy has two blockages; one 70% and one 90%.  Because they went through the wrist instead of the groin, they couldn't put the stents in.  He will need to go back to have that done in a week or two.  Donna was able to stay the whole time because it wasn't as long as they thought it would be, so we didn't need to go after all.  Bill and I went and looked at some sheds in Midland.  We went to Kimmy's afterward to drop off advent calendars Bill's sister, Debbie brought to church to give to the boys.  We told Kimmy we weren't going to stay because we know she is busy, but she put coffee on and we had a nice visit.  Her kitchen cupboards look beautiful and so does the paint on the walls, and also the backsplash.  We tried her kitchen drawers, and they sure work great with her new sliders. We came home, and I did laundry.  We went to Kawkawlin and looked at more sheds.  Went to visit Joel.  He knew our names right away.  We had a nice visit and he stood with the help of his standing equipment.  It was the first time we saw him use this and it made us so happy to see him be able to strengthen his leg muscles.  We went to Trinity Rider's Chapter meeting after that.  Luis and Jim came too and sat with us.  Vikki sent me a video of Isaac playing the drums to Christian Music.  He is doing so good at it.

We went to church and Vikki and I saved 18 chairs for our family coming to Isaac’s baptism.    Isaac got baptized and so did Melissa B., Scott and Lisa from our small group.  Some kids I used to have in my class that I love got baptized too.  Katelynn, Jaxon and Samuel.  What a great day.  Bill got to baptize another grandchild which is always so special to us.  Vikki became a member after 22 years of going here.  So happy she did!
We have so much to be thankful for.  Debbie and Matthew,  Ann, Vershon and Rody’s mom all came, and Melissa and her family.  Vikki, Rody, Peyton, Isaac, Melissa, Bruce, Jack and Evan came with us to G’s after church.  We called Kimmy to invite them, but the had just picked up pizza.  They wanted to work on their kitchen floor too....Tearing out the old so they can put in the new flooring. Vikki and Isaac came over and brought Evan and Jack for me to watch while Melissa, Bruce, Max and some kids from school go to BayShore.  We gave Isaac his picture Bible for his baptism.  He loved it.  Jack, Evan and Isaac has fun playing basketball for a while.  Then isaac came in and Jack and Evan played on the kids car.  Vikki and Isaac left, and the two boys watched Homeward Bound 2. We laughed so much.  The ate some M&M’s while they watched it. Isaac called and he had read 30 pages at home already.  Wow, he’s doing just what the other grandkids did.  I took Jack and Evan to their house and tucked Evan in bed. Jack worked on his homework.
What a wonderful day.  Many wonderful memories of my amazing dad came to mind.  I miss him so much and am thankful I will see him again one day!

Bill, Derrick, and Pat (my newly found cousin)
I headed to Midland at 9:00.  I thought Eli's game was at 10.  It didn't start until 11:30.  I went to Target and Kohl's.  Kimmy called while I was in Kohl's.  She thought I would still be at home and wanted me to bring peroxide for Wyatt.  I went back to Target and got some for her.  Headed for Eli's game.  It was cool, but the sun came out while we were there.  Eli played great.  I love watching how fast he runs and how he goes after the ball.  Adam was walking (getting lots of steps) when I got there.  Jacob was listening to his music.  I teased Adam when he got back and asked me how many steps I had.  He proceeded to tell me how many he had which was lots more than me.  Adam saw on his fitbit, that Melissa sent a text saying they had hit a deer.  I looked on my phone and saw the pictures she sent.  I was so happy and thankful they were all ok, and that Hailey did such a great job driving when going through this.  She was working on getting her driving hours she needs and was driving to her friend, Mia's, birthday party in Cass City.  They wanted me to come pick them up.  I was way in Midland, so I called Bill because I knew he was closer and could get there fast.  I talked to Melissa several times.  Kept thanking God for protecting them from getting hurt (the air bags didn't even go off).  Melissa put Evan's booster seat in for him, even though he can ride without it and does on short trips.  Where it was a long trip she wanted him in it.
Praise God the deer didn't go through that window.  So many things to praise God for.  Praying for Bruce's car to be able to be fixed now and to see God's great provision.  He is always faithful.  I went to Melissa's when I got home and got my hugs.  I was in tears, I was so thankful they are all ok.  Bruce was taking Hailey to the birthday party and asked if she still wanted to drive.  She said yes, but I don't know if she did or not.  I brought some more laundry to do for them.  I'm so glad I can help in a small way at least.  I was going to go to Adam's soccer game, but it started raining so didn't.  Went with Bill to Ames Methodist Church to the Eagle Scout Ceremony.  It was very nice.  Bill and Pat Fehn (my Grandpa Johnny's nephew) presented the Eagle Award.  We ate a delicious meal in the fellowship hall afterward.

11/1/19...Went to the Music Extravaganza at Hailey's school, Went to Turkey Roost

Adam with his new fitbit band

I got to Melissa's at 10:30 a.m.  Drove Hailey, Brooklyn, and Breanna to school, then Melissa and I went to Tim Horton's and had donuts and a Mocha/French Vanilla Capp.  We visited there until time to go to the school and drive Max and four friends to The Music Extravaganza at Valley.  Hailey did great in symphonic band and golden voice choir.  They all sounded amazing.  We took Max and his friends back to school and then went back and picked Hailey up and took her home.  I left and came home and got ready. Charlie and Sue picked us up and took us to the Turkey Roost for their yummy perch.  It was the best ever!  We came back to our house and played four games of Euchre.  The guys won all four.  We didn't get good cards at all.  We had a nice surprise while we were playing.  Hailey and Bruce came over.  She's getting driving course in.  They brought me a batch of laundry to dry.  I was so happy to see them.  Another surprise....Adam called me to see how many steps I got and tell me how many he had.   Now I have him beating me in steps too.  I dried the laundry and folded it.  Put the basket of laundry on the table for Bill to take in the morning and drop off when he takes a load of brush to dump.   He goes by Melissa's subdivision on his way home.
