Max giving Abby her early birthday present tonight.  Her birthday is tomorrow.  She is one loved doggie!

Bill and I were up before Adam.  Bill was reading his Bible when I got up.  He let Adam sleep until it was time for him to get ready to go to breakfast.  Adam got up and got ready, then they left.  I ate oatmeal and made a pot of coffee to have for when the girls get here.  I had a cup with my breakfast.  Then I went upstairs to make the bed, and Adam had already made it.  So sweet of him.  Kimmy called and told me she was coming after she took Jacob to school.  I read my Bible and did my praying.  Adam and Bill got home and Bill went out to snow blow the driveway and sidewalks off.  Adam and I listened to worship music.  When Bill got done, we all three played Skip Bo.  Adam won again.  Kimmy got here and watched us play the last few hands.  Then Kimmy and I ate an apple muffin Bill brought back for us.  Kimmy and I played a game of 3-13.  All I can say is that I was very negative through out the whole game and won.  Kimmy helped me fix the loose railing going upstairs.  It wasn't bad, just irritating, because it always felt a little loose.  I had checked it out and asked Kimmy if we should shove wood pieces up where it was loose or glue it.  She suggested toothpicks.  I she put the toothpicks in and I assisted by handing them to her.  It worked great and is so nice not to have it loose any longer.

I warmed up pizza for Adam for lunch.  Kimmy and I were still too full from our big muffin.  Vikki came after work and had an egg sandwich.  I started it and she finished it.  Bill picked up the kids for her, so she could have more time to spend here with Kimmy.  We all played Phase 10 with Adam.  Bill got here with the kids.  Peyton had her backpack with all of her new poppits and figits in it.  We all had fun playing with them, and throwing the ball to each other.  I loved the figit spinner with the poppits in the ends.  So soothing and fun.  Peyton and Isaac had cheese, crackers and hickory stick.  Kimmy got to stay longer because Jared picked up Jacob and Eli for her.  We had lots of fun hanging out together.  Then they had to leave and it got very quiet around the house.

I got a nice long talk in with Melissa.  I was telling her about the neat figit spinner, and she was wishing she had known about it sooner so she could have ordered it for their trip.
I told her I would order another one for Peyton if she would give them that one.  I called Vikki and told her about it, and she asked Peyton if they could have it.  Peyton said Yes, I don't even use that one, even though we know she likes it.  She is so generous and so sweet about it.  Vikki was sweet and took it to Melissa's, so I didn't have to go all the way to Vikki's to get it and then drop it off.  She told me she had to go out for milk anyway.  I sure appreciated it.  Vikki was super happy when she called me later, because she and Melissa got to hug each other.  I have the best family!  Bill and I played Skip Bo and he beat me by 4 cards.  We watched a movie after that.  Melissa sent me videos of Evan playing the songs he figured out today on the piano.  He played to a set beat and did so good.  I love my family!

Thursday, 2/17/22, No school for Hailey, Peyton or Isaac. Jacob had Delta off in the morning. Bill had his first injection in his neck, Hailey went to Coco Loco with us afterward

Papa, Hailey and I at Coco Loco
Yes that is Bill outside in shorts today...Brrr...he must be trying to be like Adam and some of the Royce grandkids
My paper whites have four blossoms now.  It is tied up with yarn so it doesn't fall over.
Adam and Papa while we were playing 3-13

I got up early to read my Bible and pray.  That was before I read my text from Bill's sister Debbie saying she was very sick and in the hospital.  Then I started praying right away for her, and let her brothers and sisters know so they could pray too.  I talked to Melissa and we had a good talk and were thankful for how God always answers your prayers even though maybe in the way we think He will.  Many prayer requests on our CMA prayer line today too.  It was a praying and believing day.  We had a black squirrel appear today and it just wanted to hang on our supposedly squirrel proof feeder and not even budge when I opened the door and yelled.  Kit Kat was sitting under the feeder watching it, and boy did I scare her.  It took me a while to get her to come out from under the deck.  I had to shake her treats to entice her.  She stayed outside all day and only came in once for her soft cat food in the morning and twice for some TLC.  I gave her some leftovers outside today too.  She wanted to come in and see me, more than she wanted those warmed up leftovers.  I can tell she knows this is home now.  She is always looking in a window if she see's me move inside.
At 2, Bill went for his first injection in his neck.  I went with him because I had to drive him home.  I had to wait outside.  They said it would be an hour, so Bill told me to go somewhere.  I went to Penney's to shop, but I was antsy to get back so I would be there when they called.  I found two pair of nice gloves for $2.50 at Penneys, so was happy about that good sale.  Finally after 1 and 1/2 hours, I got the call to drive up and pick him up.  He looked great and wanted to go to Coco Loco.  He told me to call Hailey to see if she wanted to meet us there, since we always think of her now when we go there.  That's all of our favorite Mexican place to eat.  We had a fun time and the food was great.  We all took leftovers home.  I texted with Adam when I got home and texted with Hailey.  Adam wants to come spend the night.  Papa and I are sure excited about that.  Such a nice and welcome surprise.  Talked with Vikki a couple of times today when she called to check on her dad and also offered for me to come there if he was having it done at the VA.  He wasn't so that didn't work out, but it is nice to be wanted.  Tranquil Pottery is selling lots and there are so many great 5 star reviews for Kimmy and Jared's quality and unique pottery.  I love checking on it each day.

Kimmy, Jared, Eli and Adam came here.  Jacob was in band practice.  They stayed and visited for a while.  Eli brought Kit Kat in for a while and gave her attention.  Adam was excited because he got his new apple watch.  Eli is happy because he gets Adam's fitbit.
They left to go pick up Jacob, then Adam, Bill and I had ice cream and played 3-13.  Bill won so he had to pick up.  Then we played a short game of Skip-Bo.  Adam won that game and he had to pick up.  For some reason I didn't have to pick up at all.

We watched God's Not Dead 4 with Adam.  We didn't even know there was a 4th one.
Adam is so fun to have over.  Still watching the movie, but had this all done except the picture of Bill and Adam and what we did once he got here.

Wed., 2/16/22, 50 degrees today!!! Kit Kat spent the whole day outside, Went to Melissa's, Dropped off a jacket and vest to be fixed, Bill went to Marine Corp League

Kit Kat when I gave her some warm leftovers

Had our oatmeal and coffee for breakfast, then did our Bible reading.  Today it was so nice out, Kit Kat spent the whole day outside.  I did have to rescue her twice when she climbed the tree by the back deck.  I called her and I could hear her meowing.  She was trying to get down to me, but there were so many small branches, she got kind of stuck.  I bent the branch down and grabbed her.  If she goes up there again, she's going to have to figure her own way down.  Went to Melissa's and saw her and the boys and took them something for their trip.  We talked with Max, Jack, Evan and Melissa for a few minutes, then papa threw a snowball at Jack and Evan.  When they went to get him back, he jumped in your car.   They waited , but he wouldn't get out of the car.  Then they had to get back to their school work, so headed back in the house.  Papa got out and threw a snowball at Jack in the garage.  He is such a mischievous little boy in an older man's body ha ha.  We stopped at Kroger and got decaf coffee as we were almost out.  Came home and relaxed for a while, then I dropped off my CMA spring jacket and Bill's vest to Barb B.  She is in Faith Riders and is a great seamstress and is going to put new zippers in for us.  Her sewing room was amazing and so organized.  I need to take lessons on her organization skills.  We had a nice visit, then I left and headed to drop off a few things we forgot at Melissa's.  We took her card holders, a face mask I fixed that I have had for quite a while, and the puzzle with all of the minecraft faces.  Bill ordered that online for her and Evan as a surprise.  They love puzzles.  I told her now she knows how much her dad loves her lol.  She was actually very excited to have it.  Melissa and I had a good time talking, then Bruce came out and joined us.  I am so thankful for those two blessings in my life.  I came home, ate and watched a movie, while Bill went to the Marine Corp. Leave meeting.  The movie was a good movie about a girl getting saved and the important role her grandma played in her life, but there was too much loss and heartache in it for me to really enjoy it even though the ending was great.  I watched Wheel of Fortune and then Bill got home.  I talked to Vikki about switching with someone for Sunday School this Sunday, because I didn't think she saw the message.  She didn't, so she texted Sara to let her know she could switch Sundays if needed.

Tues., 2/15/22, Wes and Gayla came for lunch

Evan wanted me to see where Abby fell asleep...right in his school work basket ...such a silly dog.
Our free self tests came today

Got my morning wake up text from Adam.  Played worship music.  Made a fruit plate up, a veggie plate up, and a meat and cheese plate up from the stuff I got for the super bowl.  Made mashed potatoes and warmed up the sloppy joe mix.  Set the table with my great grandma's good china.  Wes and Gayla came for lunch.  We sat by the fire, for a while, then played 3-13 using Bill's card holders he made.  Bill was the winner!  We played Skip Bo after that.  Bill won again.  I guess you could say it was his day.
I texted with Adam during the game.  After that, I brought my kitty in for Gayla to hold.  Then we looked through some scrapbooks and visited.  We had such a nice time.  They left for home, then I ate and got ready for our zoom meeting with CMA Leadership to go over plans for our Seasons of Refreshing.  We had a little trouble getting on the zoom on the computer, but then Ziggy sent the invite to my email and we were able to join.  It was a good meeting.  Melissa called and we had a good chit chat.  Vikki sent me the Obituary for her friend that worked with her.  I am sad for Vikki because I know she cared about her lots.  She, Rody and the kids went over last fall and helped rake all of her leaves.  Vikki always had nice things to say about her.  Read my Bible before going to bed.  Love the book of Proverbs!

Monday, 2/14/22, Happy Birthday Jared, Happy Valentine's Day Everyone

Happy Birthday Jared!  We love you and we are so thankful God gave you to us as family.   What a great world it would be if everyone was as kind and caring as you are, plus you are tons of fun too!

My good find at Aldi today....slippers with thick soles, nice and warm and only 9.99.  I needed some so I can wear them when I go out in the garage which is often with Kit Kat out there right now.  My other ones wore out and have large holes around the soles. Not my favorite color, but the last pair in my size.

Kit Kat greeting me when I got home and parked in the garage

My new glasses...I picked the frames out when I could hardly see what they actually looked like because of the drops they put in my eyes

Beautiful roses, necklaces and a very touching card from my love forever on Valentine's
Our 3-13 game on Valentine's Day...love this guy!

Evan made this beautiful heart for their candlelight dinner tonight and wanted Melissa to show me.  It is so beautiful!  I love how he always wants me to see what he makes and does.  Sure do love my Evan.

We stayed up til after 1 a.m. last night, so I was going to sleep in.  At 7, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so got up, had my oatmeal and coffee.  Bill got up and made his coffee, then we did our morning reading.  I noticed when I went to play my worship music, that all my good worship music from the last six months was gone.  I asked Bill if he did something and he said no, but he checked it out for me, then I got a message which I replied to and all my music came back.  My free trial was up.  I thought of Hailey, so I texted her because I figured the same thing happened to her.  It did.  We were both feeling the same.  I got on and and had the link sent to her and all of her music came back too.  Yay, we were both so happy.

I went and picked up my glasses.  I couldn't believe the difference in seeing all the frames along the wall.  The girl brought out my glasses and she really liked them.  I was happy they are nice.  I was a little worried about what I picked out ha ha.  I got home and was greeted by Kit Kat.  I went upstairs and got Bill's card and gift ready.  I heard him come home, then saw that he was at the table filling out his card for me.  When we were ready, we exchanged gifts and cards.  He had put some funny stuff in the card and in the gift box.  He took a video and we sure did lots of laughing.  I gave him a Texas Roadhouse gift card (our favorite restaurant), a smart plug, and his favorite Chocolate Marshmallow cookies.  He gave me beautiful roses, and a double necklace that is beautiful.  We went to Texas Roadhouse at 3:15 and ate.  We only had to wait a few minutes.  By the time we left there was an hour and a half wait.  We had a nice corner booth that was cozy and private.  The steaks were tender and delicious, and the salad, rolls and huge baked potatoes were YUM!  He took my car though the car wash which I really appreciated.  We picked up some bird seed at Jacks, then headed home to our recliners.  Going to watch a movie.

Super Bowl Sunday, 2/14/22, Happy Anniversary Vikki and Rody! We went to church, got things ready for party, fun time with family

Happy Anniversary Rody and Vikki.  We love you! So happy God brought you two together and we get to have you in our family Rody!

My third blossom and looks like my last blossom on my paparwhites

We went to prayer and then to our church service.  Amazing worship and great message this morning.  Good prayer too!

We came home and I got the sloppy joes going in the crockpot and cut up kiwi, peeled tangerines, and washed grapes and blueberries for our big fruit/veggie platter.  Everyone came around 3:30 and we hung out and had fun drinking coffee and visiting.  We watched Hailey and her Impact Group leading worship in at a church in Clio.  They sounded amazing.

Peyton was at Choir practice from 3-5, so after Rody picked her up and got back here, we ate sloppy joes and chips.  Then we had chocolate cake and angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip.  I baked two angel food cakes so the girls so we could celebrate Vikki and Rody's anniversary with a cake too, and so the girls could both take some home.  I found out that when you put an angel food cake pan on a bottle to cool with the cake up, it doesn't it shrinks.  When you do it with the cake down like the directions say, the cake is higher.  Not an intended experiment mind you.  We sang Happy Birthday to Jared, then we sang Happy Anniversary to Vikki and Rody.  We all got comfortable to watch the Super Bowl after eating our cake and ice cream.  Kimmy, Vikki, and Hailey were cheering for The Bengals.  Bill, Jared, Rody and I were cheering for The Rams.  Both teams did a great job and it was a super game.  I was so happy the Rams won with the great touchdown Kupp and Stafford brought the team a 1 yard touchdown in the last minute and twenty five seconds of the game.  So wonderful that Kupp was named MVP.  Love when God blesses His kids and they give Him the glory for it.  Everybody texted me and let me know when they were home safe.  Such fun family time, but we all sure missed Melissa, Bruce and the boys, and Kenzie and Travis.

Saturday, February 12, 2022

Sat., 2/12/22, Cooked and baked for Super Bowl Sunday Party, Jared's Birthday and Vikki and Rody's Anniversary. Much to celebrate tomorrow.

We had a beautiful pileated woodpecker visit today.  Love how big it  is!

Kit-Kat loves to go in this collapsible cage and play with her toy.  She will be sitting on my lap and a few minutes later she jumps down and goes in it.

Some friends gave us pheasant, so I made it with rice today in the crockpot.  It tasted good, but I sure don't like messing with all those bones.  Stressful eating to say the least.  Next time we will say no thank you.  Sweet of them, but Yikes.

Ate breakfast, had our coffee, then did our reading.  Finished Psalms and Acts.  Now moving on to the next chapters.  Listened to good worship music.  Cooked burger for sloppy joes tomorrow.  Made 2 angel food cakes and a chocolate cake for tomorrow.  Birthday cake for Jared, Anniversary cake for Vikki and Rody and an extra if needed or to send home some with Kimmy and Vikki.  Bill's sister, Debbie, called me and sounded terrible.  She did go to the hospital last night and they did lots of tests, then gave her Steroids, and also a prescription for more to take at home.  They have had all the vents and things that could possible cause illness cleaned in their house now.  She is going to try going back home to see how she does.  Praying the dizziness, weakness and headaches go quickly now and they get to the bottom of whatever it and and can help her feel better.  I was sure glad to hear from her, but she sounded awful.  Trusting God again.

Bill and I went to Sam's Club, to Meijer and then got Concrete Mixers from Culver's.  I had to get some fruit and a few more things for tomorrow.  He wanted to go with me so he could get some steps and be moving.  Made the tables big and brought the two chairs that fit at the high table upstairs.  I cut got strawberries ready and mashed for over the cake tomorrow.  Bill picked up pellets, hoping those wonderful and amazingly fast grandsons will help him unload them tomorrow.  They always do such a great job and are soooooo fast.  I vacuumed and dusted the basement while he was gone.  It was a job that needed to be done badly.  Texted with Adam a few times and had some ha ha's, and texted with Hailey and Kimmy.  Face timed with Vikki, and talked with Melissa.
