Beautiful daffodils on this sunny day

Woke up in time to spend a half hour before church started in worship and prayer for the service.  Listened online to the service.  Very good message.  I made eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, and toast for brunch.  We had blackberries with it too.  It was beautiful and sunny out, but quite windy.  Bill found a spot in the sun that wasn't too windy and worked on his pens.  I watched him for a while.  I walked around the yard and through the little woods a few times to get some steps and exercise.  Nice seeing more plants popping up all the time.  My hostas are finally poking through.  Opened our mail and got a nice donation for Run for the Sun from my friend Vikki.  Also got a donation from Sharon from our church.  So nice and such a great ministry to support.  Vikki called and the Author's son,  of the books, The Watchers, Guardians of Freelandia, gave her 6 sets of the books.  She was supposed to get two sets from him for free, but when she went to get them, he had 6 sets on the porch.  So wonderful.  You can read about it on her blog.  Very big blessing from the Lord.  She gave me a set for my Birthday.  Thank you Vikki.  I was looking on line at them.  I almost mentioned I would like them for my birthday to her, but decided they were too much, so I would just order them sometime.  She also gave me a set to pass around, and a set to give to Melissa's family.  I am going to start reading it again.  Bill made noodle soup and dumplings for dinner.  We watched Pastor Ken and Joan online during our church prayer time.  We prayed for a lot of people and other things.  I made us each a bowl of fruit...blackberries, oranges, bananas, blueberries and pineapple.  Love fresh fruit.  Delicious!
I watched a movie on You tube called the Two Witnesses.  It was interesting.  I have to watch part 2.  Bill took a nap while I was watching it.  I dropped off a face mask and the books to Melissa's.  It was nice seeing everyone through the door and saying hi.  I love my family!

Vikki sent pictures of her family with their pens Bill made them

I walked on the treadmill 2 1/4 miles.  We ate banana blueberry oatmeal bake for breakfast. Bill worked on pens in the shed for a while.  I vacuumed the house.  We went to drop off pens Bill made for Peyton, Isaac and Rody.  We left them on their porch and visited through the window.  We went to Kimmy's after that and dropped off Jared's mom's face masks she made them and also one that I had made.  Also dropped off some cinnamon and a big pack of donuts from Sam's Club. I forgot to take Vikki's family's big pack of donuts.  Will have to drop them off tomorrow.  We looked at their new power washer and visited with them out in their woods on the swings and chairs 6 feet away.  It was so nice other than it was pretty windy.  Adam and Eli were in short sleeve shirts and shorts.  They were playing and were keeping warm.  I was warm as long as Bill was blocking the wind from me.  We had a very nice visit and it seemed so good to be able to sit for a while and talk.  It was fun to see the fish in their pond.  There are lots of them.  Nice seeing their lambs too.  They are getting big and are so cute. I listened to a Michael W. Smith concert from his home with his band from their homes.  It was so good.  Vikki posted a picture of the guy who wrote the books, The Watchers, Guardians of Freelandia.  It was a picture of him with his family.  She told about the book and how good it was and recommended it to everyone.  The son got a notification from Facebook, so he checked with Vikki to see why she posted a picture of him.  Come to find out, some of our friends are friends with him.  After she told him why and offered to take the picture down, he told her she didn't have to.  He is giving her two sets of the books for free.  She is giving me one set for my birthday.  Happy Birthday to me.  What a great gift!  She had them in her cart to buy her a set and me one for my birthday.  God is good!  I thought about asking her to get them for me for my birthday since we had to send my birthday gift back.  I decided I didn't want to make her feel like she had to get me something else.  I talked to all of my girls today and had nice talks.  Bruce went to pick up some things from his dad and Brenda today.  They met in Edmore and gas was $1.16.  Bruce was saying something about gas being low there.  His dad said, low....I thought it was high.  It was .97 in Muskegon.  The book I just read had prophecies in it.  One was that gas would go below a dollar.  I thought to myself...you were close...it's 1.52 here, and then I heard this today.  Amazing as this was written so many years ago when gas was really high.

                                                           Covid 19 numbers for today

A little warmer today at least.  We ate our breakfast and then read our Bibles.  I washed the groceries in the garage and brought them in the house.  A big bag of chocolate chips from Sam's was brought in, so I made chocolate chip cookies.  Yum!  I saw Angie's picture on her facebook page, so I had her send me her recipe.  They are basically the same as the Tollhouse recipe.  Bill was pretty happy.  He worked in the shed and I read my book.  I went to look two scriptures up the book mentioned and when I opened my Bible,  was right at the one scripture.  I turned to another section of my Bible and opened right up to the second verse.  God really touched me when I did that.  It was amazing.  Vikki is liking the Watcher (Freelandia) books she is reading.  I knew she would.  Talked to Vikki, Melissa and Kimmy today.  Watched Pilgrim's Progress tonight.  Very good message and lots of Scriptures in this movie.
Trying to talk myself out of wanting a cookie right now.  Bill started reading the book we ordered now.  Going to bed now and didn't have a cookie!  Yay, I resisted calories!

Day 32, 4/16/2020....Another cold day, Did devotions, repaired the seam on our outside flag, Easter lily delivered to our porch

Yay, I saw this little sprout coming out the top of my Christmas Cactus start.  I am so happy it is going to be growing now where I can see it's progress.  It took a month, so I was beginning to wonder.
Someone delivered this beautiful Easter Lily to our porch. It's in quarinteen!

My text to Joan and hers back to me.   So sweet of her!
My message to Tina and hers to me.  So sweet too!
Such caring people at our church!
Numbers of Coronavirus cases and deaths in Saginaw County

Made two more face masks
We did our morning devotions online with Pastor Ken.  Very good devotions.  I am very thankful for how Pastor is teaching God's Word to all of us and helping everyone through this with his encouragement.  We are blessed!  We ate oatmeal and then read our Bibles.  Love this extra time to get closer to God and be in His Word more.  Also love spending more time in prayer for family, friends and our nation.  God is on the Move!!!! Bill worked on making Peyton a pen out in the shed.  It turned out beautiful.  He does such a great job.  I fixed the seam that was ripping on our outside flag. It looks great now.  Thankful that I got a set of threads and bobbers that have thread on them at Aldi's a while back.  It was a big set for only $4 so I decided to try it, not knowing if the bobbers would work in my machine.  Praise God they did.  Saved me so much time with the sewing I've been doing. I was just able to grab the bobber with the color I wanted and put it in.  Yay!  We heard the doorbell ring, and I waited for a minute and went to the door.  I saw a beautiful Easter Lily on my porch. When I looked in the driveway, I saw a Hyundai in the driveway.  I couldn't tell who it was, but I waved.  I could see two people waving, but couldn't tell who they were.  I asked Bill to quick look because I thought he might be able to tell.  He didn't budge from his comfy recliner spot though.  I started thinking and thought it looked like one of the Easter Lilies at church in the Easter Service video.  I checked it out and it was.  I write Joan the message and she answered back that it was her and that Tina was her helper.  I messaged Tina and thanked her and she was so sweet too.  I talked to Vikki and Kimmy today.  Don't know how the day went by without talking to Melissa.  That is rare!  We did text some though.  Adam texted me too.  I read lots on my book.  Over halfway done so soon I can pass it to Bill.  Vikki started reading the Watcher - Freelandia Books.  She is going to love them!

Papa dropping off Peyton's chef's hat

We listened to Pastor's devotion online.  I walked 2 1/4 miles on the treadmill while I listened to worship music.  I cut up fruit for our breakfast.  We read our Bibles.  I ironed coffee filters and folded them for the face masks we are making for our church to donate.  It was a cold day, so I hibernated inside.  I talked to all of the girls which was nice.  They are all doing such a great job being great moms.  I am very proud of them.  Bill ordered a chef's hat for Peyton because she loves baking and cooking.  I thought that it was so sweet of him to do on his own.  He took it and dropped it off at her house.  What a good Papa.  He sure loves his family too.  He ordered a book, so I started to read it today.  Made goulash for dinner.  Wish Kenzie could be here to eat some with us.  It's her favorite.  I am missing all of my grandkids so much.

Day 30, Tuesday, 4/14/2020...Morning Devotion Online, Delivered stuff to Charlie and Sue, Melissa and Vikki

Woke up to a snowy deck
Brunch this morning.  Aldi's delivered a really nice pineapple.  It was only 1.89 and is delicious

It was still windy this morning and the deck was white with snow.  We both listened to Pastor's devotion online.  It was a good one on Psalm 62.  I am thirsty for Jesus like a deer pants for the water!  Bill took the garbage out and I took my shower and then made eggs, bacon, ham, hash brown patties from the Amish store, and toast.  We had fresh pineapple too.  Read our Bibles.  I checked and our stimulus money (during the coronavirus pandemic) was deposited today....$2400.  Very nice, but sure hope the economy bounces back quickly and amazingly.  Deb from church dropped off coffee filters for me to iron and fold for face masks.  I left some pipe cleaners out on the porch for her to pick up for face masks.  She is the one person doing all the delivering to porches and picking up things and is doing a great job.  I went to Chuck and Sue's to drop something off on their porch, then Melissa's to drop off walnuts, yeast, paper towels and surprise donuts from Sam's Club which were individual packages.  I went to Vikkis and delivered paper towels to her and some other stuff.  Didn't take donuts as she doesn't like her kids to have sweets because Peyton gets cavities so easy.  Worked on some easy sewing projects.  I definitely am not a seamstress.  I still have to sew our flag.  Bill took it down because of the wind, and noticed the edge is ripped.  I can fix it I'm pretty sure.  I will be glad when the wind is calm and it's warm and sunny out so, I can check my flowers again.  Talked to Melissa and Vikki lots today.  Had some very good laughs.  Sara Ann wrote in her comment about having a cousin over and watching a movie. She said her mom pooped popcorn and it was a big deal!  I laughed so hard.  That would be a big deal for sure.  She said she was laughing hysterically at her mistake, and left it so she could continue to have a good laugh.  She corrected it below in another comment.

Lela's beautiful face masks she made by hand
Kimmy cut the boys hair...Eli, Jacob and Adam look as handsome as ever! Great job Kimmy
Watched Pastor Ken do our devotion on line.  Walked 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill.  Made oatmeal for breakfast.  Read my Bible.  I ordered groceries from Aldi's and they delivered them 3 hours later.  So wonderful. Bill and I went to Sam's Club.  We got a big bag of walnuts, paper towels, olive oil, ice flavored water drinks, one hand sanitizer and a couple of other things.  We looked for Lysol wipes but the guy said they are hard to get.  Also looked for yeast and flour.  They were out of that too.  We wore face masks and kept our distance.  Did the self checkout.  Happy to get done and get home.  Talked to all of the girls today.  So happy they are all doing great and are enjoying this family time together.  It was a very windy out...I tried to take a nap, but the wind was so noisy I couldn't sleep.  We are having a cool down for a while too.  I will be happy when temperatures get back in the 50's and the wind is calm.  Jared's mom made face masks and sent them to Vikki.  She made me one too which was so sweet and made me so happy.  They are so nice and Rody and Vikki's looks really cute on them.  Thank you so very much Lela!
