Friday, 3/11/22, Made homemade bread and egg salad, Went to Sam's Club, Went to the Home Store, Stopped at New Coffee shop, but it was already closed

We got snow this morning, so I surprised Bill and shoveled both decks and the sidewalk.  The snow was so packable, it stuck to my boots and was thick and ice like.  I almost fell once, but was super careful after that.  Hard to walk with heavy snow clinging to my boots weighing me down.
Received a package from Walmart this morning.  First time I received an email with a picture of something delivered on our porch.  Our church made a baby/preschool registry up because we have so many kids in that age group, they are making it available for anyone in our church to buy an item/items off the list.  Such a great idea to get things needed and all share in the cost and the fun.
Beautiful sunset Hailey sent me in a text.  There were just grey clouds here tonight, so I really appreciated seeing this.

Bill went to coffee with Charlie today.  I had coffee and oatmeal here, spent time reading and praying.  I read Kenzie's post on FaceBook about how their car slid on icy roads and almost flipped and they ended up in a ditch, but God spared their lives, spared them from hitting trees and guardrails which were all along there, but not where they slid off,  and also gave Travis the ability to drive skillfully.  They also had another close call.  She said someone is looking out for them....we know that someone is God.  I sure have been thanking Him.  So thankful they were both ok and also thankful for the car being ok.  I got bread started in the bread maker and made egg salad.  When Bill got home and finished his reading time, we went to Sam's Club to get some things.  Got some blueberry muffins for when the boys are here too.  We stopped at the Home Store to look for curtain rods we want, but they didn't have and double ones.  Bill wanted to get a new bedspread set, so we looked and found one we both liked.  I always loved my one we have and haven't got tired of it.  This one looks nice, but I'm waiting to see if the wrinkles come out.  I steamed the pillow shams and put the bedspread in the dryer on low.  Some wrinkles came out, but it was so crammed in, not many came out.  My upstairs one was wrinkled and after about 2 months now, they are out.

We stopped at the new Creations Coffee Shop, but they had just closed.  We saw that Rody was there yesterday, so we wanted to try it out.  We just headed for home and will try it a different time.

When we got home, my bread was done and nice and warm.  I sliced it and we made egg salad sandwiches.  Yum!  So good.  We had a relaxing evening together.  Texted with Adam who told me he had a kitchen fire.  Then he explained that it was the burgers that caught fire and everything was ok.  He sure made me nervous until I heard his explanation.  Talked and texted with Kimmy, Melissa and Vikki.

Thurs. 3/10/22, Took Bill for injections in his back, went to Outback, Dropped off some things at Melissa's, took naps

Evan
Hailey

Jack

I woke up when Kenzie called me this morning.  I got up and realized the kernel burner wasn't working.  We talked for a quite a while while I waited for the Kernel Burner to ignite.  I accidentally didn't close the door tight last night before bed, so it shut down.  I was happy it started after about 5 minutes, and also that it didn't get to cold in here.  After our regular morning routine, I sent Debbie her morning Scripture.  Still praying for her to feel better, and find out what's going on.  Brought Kit Kat in to give her soft food and pet her.  She sure is friendly and loves the attention now.  She is such a nice kitty.  I listened to good worship music.  Put the song, "In Jesus Name" on by Katy Nichole.  It is a powerful song and one of my favorites right now.  I was singing the name of Jesus over everyone in my family. She has an amazing testimony, and wrote this song from her writings in her prayer journal.  Sent it to Melissa so she could listen and read her testimony.  Vikki sent me her testimony last night.

Talked to Melissa and then talked to Marie.  At 1:15, we left for the pain clinic so Bill could get injections in his back.  I couldn't stay with him, so went to get gas at Sam's Club, then thought I would go in and pick up a few things.  I had set my timer for 1 hr. 15 min. which it how long the girl said it would take till Bill was done.  I still had 36 minutes so thought I had plenty of time.  I got a call as soon as I was halfway to the back of the store saying Bill was getting dressed and I could pull up to pick him up.  I walked to the door as fast as I could and headed right there.  I was only about 5 minutes away.  Bill called me when was almost there as he was wondering where I was.  I pulled in the parking lot and he was outside waiting for me.  They said someone had to drive him after these appointments.  He was bandaged up and told to take it easy.  Please pray these injections take the pain away.  They said they could help his spasms and neuropathy also, so praying for that too.

We went to Outback for lunch.  Bill had a steak and a baked potato and I had chicken and a baked potato.  I texted Kimmy to see if Jacob and Adam want to go to the Home for the Homeless Spirit Hockey Game when they spend the night and they both want too.  My nephew's Church Worship team is doing a concert there before the game starts.  We have a group of us from Faith Riders going.  We finished eating and talked about splitting a dessert, then I remembered it was my birthday month, so asked him about a free dessert.  He brought a huge scoop of ice cream and hot fudge out and Bill and I shared it.  It was so good.  We came home, and Bill went out to the shed for a while and I went to drop off some things at Melissa's.  I took the boys and Hailey Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and they were all happy.  Hailey asked me if that was what Peyton had in the car last night, and was happy she got one too.  I sure loved seeing them all.  Max was working on his online schoolwork, so I didn't get to see him.  When I got home, Bill was taking a nap, so I sat down by him and napped too.  I woke up when Melissa called me.  We had a nice chat.  She said Max really liked the treat I took him.

Please keep Hailey in prayer.  She is having an MRI Monday.  Pray for good results.  She was born with Spina Bifida and has been having some back pain.  She has never had any complications since her surgery at a year old, so God did an amazing miracle.  They think this is probably the muscle tightening, but want to check it out.  Thanks for praying.

Wed., 3/9/22, Went to Kimmy's, Jacob had half day off for Delta, Picked kids up from school and spent time at Kimmy's, Went to Culver's and Jared met us there, Vikki, Peyton and Lilly came over

Jacob
Wyatt and Eli

Adam
The cute lambs

Cute lambs running

The boys at Culver's before Jared got there
Jared, me, Eli, Jacob and Adam
Lilly and Peyton

Melissa sent me these pictures...Hailey and  Vikki were at Taco Bell at the same time.  Cute picture of Hailey when she saw Aunt Vikki and Peyton.  Vikki had her come get in her car and she bought Hailey's food.  (picture below) Such a sweet Aunt.  They were all so happy to see each other there.  I love that we have a close family!

Sent Adam a good morning text.  This morning I beat him.  He usually is first and I see it when I wake up.  Read a couple of Scriptures and prayed. Sent Debbie her Scripture for the day and let her know I was still praying. Left for Kimmy's and stopped at Pat's on my way.  I wanted to pick up muffins, but only found doughnuts.  Found some Reeses Peanut Butter candies in a cane container and got them for all the kids.  Got to Kimmy's and it didn't take as long as usual for Wyatt to calm down so I could pet him.  He's always so excited to see me.  He probably knows I'm excited to see him too.  Jacob and I had doughnuts, Kimmy made me a great coffee, and we watched band videos and family videos.  How fun!  Love hearing the band ones and love seeing the kids and hearing them when they were so little.  We had some laughs while we watched.  They were just so cute.  Kimmy got a call from Vikki and I got a call from Melissa so we all were talking. We played a game of 3-13 after we hung up.  Kimmy was the winner by far.  I got stuck with 52 points the last hand, but managed to come in second, beating Jacob by 1 point.  We had a good laugh about that.    We took Jacob to school, then came back to Kimmy's and ate lunch.   She made yummy fettuccini and broccoli.   We tried to watch more videos, but didn't have Jacob there to help us get them on the tv.  We both talked on speaker to Melissa again.  We picked Adam up from school, then went and picked up Eli and Jacob.  We came back to Kimmy's so we could leave later and get to Culver's close to when Jared could come.  The lambs were all outside in the pasture, so I took some pictures.  They are so cute.  We all watched some more family videos.  We left to go to Culver's.  Adam and Eli rode with me.  Jacob rode with Kimmy.  We ordered and were all done eating, but me when Jared came.  Kimmy ordered his when she knew he was on his way, so it was reading when he came.  I ordered Bill a to go order to take home.  Adam and I were laughing at his text because he said he wanted a hamburger well dine.  On my way home, I got a text from Vikki saying Peyton wanted to come over so Lilly could see Kit Kat.  They came and had fun hanging out.  Lilly is such a sweet friend to Peyton.  They found a dead mouse on the air hockey table.  Yay, I have been trying to catch or kill that mouse since Thanksgiving.  It would always chew the foam insulation in the basement and it would fall like snow onto the air hockey table.  Hopefully no more of that.  It grossed the girls out. Lilly screamed when she saw it.  Bill took care of it for us.  They left because Vikki had to take Lilly home.

Tues, 3/8/22, Good news at dr. appt., Evan face timed me, Went to Eli's band concert

My Christmas Cactus is getting lots of blossoms finally

Eli did great in his concert tonight...first row on left
Eli and Mr. Shepherd during the concert

Eli in black in front row at the end of the concert
Me, Eli and Papa after the concert
Papa, Jacob and me after the concert

Woke up to sunshine.  So pretty.  This is the time of month we moved here and I remember loving how that warm sunshine came through the windows.  Brings back great memories every March.  Bill took the garbage out, snow blowed the driveway and shoveled the deck off.  I was on the phone waiting to connect with an insurance company.  It took such a long time to get to talk to someone for my one simple question.  The person was super nice though and very helpful so that made up for the long wait.  We did our regular morning routine.  We ate a late breakfast today though.

In the afternoon, I went to my doctor appointment and got great news that there are no pre cancerous or cancerous moles.  What I thought was a mole was just a mature (he was kind and didn't say old age) growth.  It's not a favorite appt. to go to, but sure is good to hear good results.  I'm very thankful for all who were praying for me.  The growth I originally made the appt. for back in Dec. has even disappeared.  Thank you Lord!
I set up my appt. for an annual skin check appt. for next year because I know I will put it off if I don't set it up.  I talked to all of the girls afterwards and told them the good news.  Found out Eli has a concert tonight.  Yay!  I stopped at McDonalds for a Frappe' and Evan face timed me and showed me how he figured out to play two songs on the guitar.  Then he played a few songs on the piano, and he and Melissa played Chopsticks for me.  He did great and so did Melissa.  It was quite a good phone concert which I loved.

We went to Eli's concert in the evening.  I texted with Jack on the way there.  We found a great parking spot. The concert started out with 5th grade, then 6th, then 7th.  They all sounded great and Eli did a super job!  He looked very handsome too!  Mr. Shepherd is such a great band director.  Such fun songs were included too.  What an enjoyable time we had.

I talked to Melissa when we got home, texted with Kimmy, Vikki, Adam and Hailey.
Very thankful to God for always being with us and loving us so.

Monday, 3/7/22, Beautiful snowy morning, 4 years ago is when God protected Melissa from running over Evan in the van. Went through some old CD's to see what pictures were on them. Went to Trinity Riders

Hailey sent me this cute picture in a text last night

Beautiful outside this morning
Beautiful cardinals in the tree by the feeders

Nice woodpecker on the suet feeder and cardinal in the tree
Closeup of the woodpecker
Bill reading his Bible next to me

Hailey texted me last night and sent me the cute picture with Abby.  We texted for a while before I went to bed.  Woke up to nice pretty snow on the ground and falling, but no school closings.  Bill met Rich this morning for breakfast.  I hung the big feeder back out.  I took it down yesterday because it was so windy out.  I fed Kit Kat her soft food in the kitchen, then gave her some attention.  When Bill got home, we did our morning routine, then watched some CD's with lots of pictures of Kenzie and Hailey, some of Jacob, a few of Adam and a couple of Max.  It was fun looking at them.  Texted a little with Adam in the morning.

Went over paperwork for my doctor appt. tomorrow to make sure I hadn't missed filling out anything.  I am having a mole checked out, so prayer is appreciated for good results.
Max texted me, so texted with him.  Went to Trinity Riders for their chapter meeting.  Put prayer requests for my appointment tomorrow and Bill's back injections Thursday on the list and we all prayed together for all of the requests at the end of the meeting.  So thankful for prayer.  A testimony was giving of how a 13 year old boy we have been praying for that had cancer, had tests and no cancer was found.  So many answered prayers from God.

I talked with Melissa and Vikki on the phone.  Vikki reminded me that in 2018 on this day, Melissa almost backed over Evan, but God stopped her and protected him.  I am forever grateful.  Nathan's life was spared when in a side by side accident, and the tree limb went through his thigh and out his back.  He is alive and well praise God.

Posting what Melissa wrote so I never forget!!!  We were in Florida when this happened and remember getting the call from Melissa who was very shook up, but very thankful and blessed.

Thanking God today for protecting my baby! Almost ran over Evan this morning when dropping him off at school. He had gotten out of the van and dropped his change for the penny war just as Max was getting out and I was distracted talking to him. Some of the change must have fallen under than van so Evan crawled under to get it. (I couldn't see him and did not know he did this.) I waited as Max walked up to the door and double checked the backseat to make sure nobody forgot anything. As I started to pull away, I heard a honk and then someone yell "Wait" so I immediately stopped. He ran up to the van yelling "Wait, he's under the van!" I still didn't know what he was talking about thinking maybe the kid from the car behind me somehow got caught under my back bumper or something. I thought Evan had already ran into the school. I didn't even realize it was Evan until he slowly got up from the ground and I could finally see him. He looked so scared and I could hear the fear in his voice as he told me he was getting his money that fell. As I pulled away from the school, panic struck me as it started to sink in what had just happened and how close it really was. I just sat there crying, thanking God over and over again. Going over it in my mind later on, I started thinking of all the little things that made this turn out the way it did. Only a couple weeks ago the school decided to have an adult always standing at the door to let the kids in. If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have known and the outcome would have been totally different. I will forever be grateful to him and his quick thinking to yell for me to stop. If I had pulled away any sooner, not checking the backseat or not waiting till Max made it up to the door, the outcome could have been totally different. If the car behind me hadn't honked, I might not have been paying enough attention to hear someone yelling "Wait" or maybe would have thought they were just talking to the car behind me. All these what if's are so scary to think about but it definitely shows that God was watching out for us today. And these were just a few of the little things that prevented this horrible thing from happening. I can't wait for my baby to get home from school so I can squeeze him extra tight, I might not want to let him go! As I talk to him about NEVER EVER crawling under a vehicle again, I will also be giving him some extra hugs and kisses. Sooooooo thankful!!!!

So I just want to say again, THANK YOU JESUS! I can’t say it enough! I won’t stop! He is such a gracious God! I’m in tears!!!

Sunday, 3/6/22, Went to church, Gathered with Faith Riders and Trinity Riders for CMA National Day of Prayer to pray, went to Peyton's choir concert, went to Culvers

Jim, Bev, me, Bill, Ron, Barb, Mark, Ann, Don, Lew, Cindy, Elaine, Dennis and Jane Praying at New Life Church.  We used vehicles to block the awful wind.

Mark, Ann, Jane, Dennis, Elaine, Cindy, Lew, Wes, Gayla, Bill, Bev, Jim , Don, Barb and Ron praying at Heritage High School.  We also went to the township hall for prayer time there.  Very thankful for so many who came out to unite in prayer on this windy cool day.

Peyton and her teacher after the concert

Peyton and Isaac
Me, bill, Peyton, Isaac, Rody and Vikki....we celebrated Peyton doing a great job at her concert.  She was pretty nervous to get up there, but she did it and did great.  I am so proud of her!

I texted with Adam early this morning.  He said it was really windy there this morning too.  Did my morning reading.  Went to prayer at church and then to our church service.  Prayer was amazing and powerful.  Worship was great and pastor's message was very good.  Ha ha, I almost wrote pastor's massage was really good...that would have gotten lots of laughs I'm sure.  Melissa and I had a happy talk when I got home.  When God moves, and we share what He has done, it's a happy talk.   We ate lunch, then relaxed until time to leave to go pray with Faith Riders and Trinity Riders for CMA National Day of Prayer.  Everyone was scheduled to pray for different things.  We sang the Doxology in our church parking lot, Jesus loves me at the school and
His Truth is Marching on at the township hall.  It was an awesome time of prayer and seeking God to move in our churches, schools, government, families, Israel, the military, to stop the murder of babies, for peace in Ukraine and so many other things.

After we were done praying, we went to Peyton's Choir Concert.  They sounded so wonderful and all did great.  Peyton was pretty nervous, so she kind of stood behind another girl and we couldn't see her real well, except for a few times.  Rody had his camera set up on the end, so we should get to see her really well when he sends that to us.  She is signing up for the next one, which will be about Joseph's coat of many colors.  I love having another granddaughter singing in a choir.  The man sitting behind me grabbed my coat and held it to help me get it on.  He was a very nice gentleman.  I almost didn't know what to do lol.  After the concert, they had refreshments and snacks for everyone.  It was pretty packed so we decided to take Rody, Vikki and the kids to Tony's.  We got there and they had already closed at 2 p.m.  We decided to go to Culvers.  Peyton rode with us and she was happy because she wanted ice cream and something to eat.  That's automatic for kids at Culver's.  We had such a nice time and were the only customers in there.  Vikki and I had their delicious olive burger.  This is Rody's first time in a restaurant in two years.  It was so nice getting to spend time together.

We relaxed when we got home.  I gave Kit Kat some attention and some yummy treats.  She goes out the garage door when we leave now, if I have her in the garage.  It was windy, so I had her sleep in there last night.

Sat. 3/5/22...We went to Denny's funeral, Went to Mongolion Barbecue, Jacob and Hailey had their band festival and both of their bands had perfect scores

Six of us representing CMA family for Liz at her husband's funeral.  Had a wonderful luncheon afterwards.  Bill and I had to meet friends for dinner at 4 so we didn't each much.

Peyton looking so grown up at the library
Jacob and his friends looking very handsome at their band festival
Top picture isn't clear, but bottom one is good.  Hailey is behind the band director, second girl from the right with the French horn.
Peyton...second from the right in front row, at her rehearsal for her Choir Concert tomorrow

Bill had cereal and I had oatmeal.  We both had our coffee.  We read our Bibles and did our morning routine.  At 11:25 we headed to Bay Shore for Liz's husband's funeral.  She is the secretary at Bay Shore and is always so kind and helpful to us and everyone.  Jeff, the guy in the red shirt at our table in the picture is the one who just lost his wife last Sunday.  He had been checking with Liz about her husband and praying, and now she is checking on him and praying, and also helping him how to work things out he is going through and giving him advice.  He and his wife didn't have children and don't have much family.  We are praying lots for both of them.

We walked through part of Costco when we got to Midland, then we met with friends, Lew and Cindy, the new president of Faith Riders and his wife who took over the newsletter for me at Mongolion Barbecue.  They are great people and we had fun with them, plus had great discussions regarding Faith Riders and the upcoming year.  We were there for 2 hours visiting.

Kimmy sent videos of Jacob's band playing.  They were outstanding.  Jacob and a girl did a duet which was amazing.  I loved watching the videos.  Too long to post on here.  Hailey was there with her symphonic band too.  None of us knew they were playing at the same place. Jacob's and Hailey's bands both got perfect scores.  I am so proud of those two.  They are so talented and are such great kids.

Max worked at the Humane Society today with Bruce. then they both went to Bruce's work. I love how Max loves working with dogs and has such a love for them.  I'm very proud of him for helping them and taking care of them.

Peyton had her choir rehearsal for tomorrow's concert that I am looking forward to.  I can't wait to hear them sing.

Bill and I typed up our prayers for tomorrow.  I am praying for Israel and Bill is praying for the military.  It's CMA's National Day of Prayer.  How blessed we are to be able to take everything to the Lord in prayer.
