Sunday, 3/27/22, Went to church, Bill's truck wouldn't start, went to Olive Garden with Vicki and kids, Went to Community Prayer

Iain loves Olive Garden Bread sticks.  He sure eats lots of them.  We always tease him.
Iain and Meredith enjoying their food. I had both of them in my K-1 Sunday School class.  They sure grew up fast.
Vicki and her family sure are special to us.  We were sad that it's our first time there without Kevin, but we had a lot of memories of being there with him which helped
Love this friend so much!

Got ready for church and then read my Bible and prayed.  I left for church earlier than Bill, because we both had to drive and my prayer group starts earlier than when the elders pray for pastor.  I got in the door of the church,  pastor's little grandson who is in my Sunday School group showed me a funny trick where he offered me a piece of candy, took the top of the container and a big long spiral thing jumped out.  He thought it was pretty funny that he scared me.  His Nana Joan was there watching and so was Lisa.  We talked for a couple of minutes and then I headed back to prayer.  On my way, my phone rang.  I usually turn it off before going into church, so it's a good thing I left it on so I could hear it.  Bill called and needed me to come back home to pick him up because his truck wouldn't start.  I walked in to the prayer room and let them know I wouldn't be able to stay.  I got home, and Bill got in and I drove back to church.  He had the battery charger plugged into the truck.  I just went into the sanctuary and sat down, then Hailey came and sat next to me, then Vikki, Rody and the twins got there and sat by us.   Bill was supposed to go to our CMA chapter in Caro, and I was supposed to be at community prayer a the same time today, so he said he was going to ride his motorcycle.  No way did I want him riding in this cold, mid 20's and very windy.  I talked to Vikki and she said we could come pick her car up and I could use it.  I was so thankful and happy.

Loved the second and third songs we sang for worship.  Great message from Pastor Ken.  Bill's sister's Angie and Debbie watch every week on line.  Angie has since two years ago and Debbie started last month.  Vikki worked back with the kids today.

After church, we came home to see if the truck would start, but it wouldn't.  We headed to Vikki's to get her car, then we had to meet Vicki, Meredith and Iain at Olive Garden.  We had told her we were going to treat them to dinner there, so for my birthday she surprised me with a $75 gift card to Olive Garden.  I tried to give it back, but she wouldn't let me, so we used it today.  We had such a nice time.  The kids were so sweet and it was so nice to hear what they've been doing.  We all enjoyed our time together.  The food was delicious and we had the best waiter.  We weren't in a busy area so that was good too.  Bill left to go to Caro, and I left to go to Community Prayer which was at our church today.  My friend, Mary Jane had asked me to lead a group in a prayer circle.  We worshiped first then, broke into two groups.   Those in my group were so sweet and all had great things on their heart to pray for.  Kris was in my group too which was nice.  She came in case she was needed to lead a group too.  She's always a great encourager.  After prayer, I headed to Vikki's.  She gave me an orange cream soda which tasted so good.  I got my hugs from the kids, looked at Vikki's plants which are doing great, and checked out the bird's cage and the nesting box Vikki attached.  We sat and visited with Vikki and Today, and enjoyed our pop.  Bill got there shortly after and visited until my pop was gone.  We were going to drop Peyton off to her friend's grandma's down the road, but her grandma came and picked Peyton up.  We stopped at Sam's on our way home, and Bill filled my car with gas.  My best friend, Vikki's birthday is today, and she texted me to let me know she is still coming tomorrow and will meet me at Zhenders for our free birthday family style chicken dinners.  This makes me so happy since I've only got to see her once since covid started.  We were used to meeting every month.  She said she's just as happy.  I am so looking forward to tomorrow.  Texted with Hailey, Adam and Eli.  Talked a couple of times with Melissa.

Sat., 3/26/22, Met Jared at Tim Horton's to pick up Kit Kat, went to Purtells in Pinconning for dinner and ice cream

Bill with the Kitchen Sink...some people order this filled with ice cream

I read my Bible, then went to Tim Horton's in Midland and got a French Vanilla Cappuccino and donut.  Met Jared there to pick up Kit Kat.  She did a lot of meowing on the way Jared said.  I put a Tim Horton's card on Jared's seat and told him to use that for their Saturday goodies.  He told me Kimmy wouldn't like that.  He was naughty and called Kimmy who told him not to use it.  Kit Kat was happy to see me, but cried unless I put my finger in the cage for her to rub her head against.  She was happy to get out of her cage in the family room and get some attention.  After a few minutes, we ran to the garage door and wanted to go where she is used to and check it out.  At 1:30 we headed to Pinconning.  We went to Northwoods, but it was way too busy, so we left and went to Purtells.  Wes ad Gayla, Luis and Eva and Don had just got there.  The restaurant didn't have enough help, so were closed, but they let us come because we had made a reservation.  We had the whole place to ourselves and had the best service and the best food.  It was amazing.  Great time of fellowship and fun.  We left and headed home.  We took a nap when we got home.
I walked around outside and my daffodils are a couple of inches up now.  I emptied old nests out of the bird houses and got mealworms out for bluebirds.  Kimmy told me she has bluebirds already, so I guess I'm behind in preparing.

Friday, 3/25/22, Went to Kimmy's, Took Kit Kat in to be spayed, Picked up Adam, Played Bedwars for the first time, Went to dinner with Wes and Gayla

A big pileated Woodpecker on Kimmy's feeder.   There was a little woodpecker on the top of
the post above long feeder with the yellow top, waiting to see if he could get a turn.  I took the picture between the blinds.
Jacob sure reminds me of Bill when he was young in this picture
Adam after he gave me a lesson on how to play bedwars

Kit Kat after her surgery....Jared picked her up for me and she spent the night at there house.
Nice because with Kimmy, she had her own personal vet.  She sure got lots of attention and love.

Beautiful Kleenex box holder Wes made me
.
Garden Angel I saw at the Builders Show that Abele's Green house had there.  I really liked it and evidently Gayla could tell.

Left to go to Kimmy's at 7:40 this morning.  Had Kit Kat in the cage and she cried all the way to Freeland.  After that I prayed for her, was talking to her and put my finger in the cage  for her to nudge her head against.  She calmed down and sure was a good kitty in the car.  When I got to Kimmy's, Wyatt settled down really quick today, so I could pet him really quickly.  Kimmy put a blanket over Kit Kat's cage so she wouldn't be scared of Wyatt.  They both were really good.  We drank our coffee and visited.  Kimmy woke Jacob up.  I forgot he was even there.  It was nice having him there in the morning with us.  We left to take Kit Kat to be spayed, then when we were done there, we went to Tim Hortons and sat in the parking lot drinking our cappuccinos and eating our muffins.  I thought I got enough for Jared too, but guess I didn't count right.  I asked Kimmy if there were 4 left in the box and she said there were only three.  I guess I ate Jared's.  I was going to go get another one, but Kimmy talked me out of it.  Poor Jared.  She made sure she told him I ate his too!!!  We picked Adam up from school then and headed back to Kimmy's.  Now we had Adam home for the afternoon which was nice.  Kimmy made chicken salad sandwiches for lunch.  YUM.  Kimmy took Jacob to school, while Adam taught me and let me practice playing bedwars.  Melissa called me while we were playing, so my concentration went out the window.  I sure am not good at it.  I can't even hardly motivate through the place.  Kimmy got home and I did get good at depositing all of the merchandise they collected though.  I left when Kimmy was leaving to go get Eli.  Wes and Gayla were coming to pick us up to take us to Riverside.
When I got home, Melissa called me to let me know Max and Bruce were heading over to get wood.  She said Bruce had sent Bill a text.  When I saw them come, I hung up and went out to help.  It was so muddy, Bill got the tractor stuck in the woods by the wood pile.  Bruce, Max and I pushed him out.  I had brought Bill's muck boots out, but none of the guys wanted to use them.  I had mine on!!!!!  I sure was happy about it too.  The mud was at least 5 inches deep.  Bruce and I pushed at the back through the mud, because I didn't want Max ruining his good tennis shoes.  After we loaded the wood, Max drove the tractor and parked by their SUV so we could unload the wood.  I ran to get my phone then, so I could take a picture.  I wanted to take one of Max driving the tractor, but Bill didn't have his phone on him and neither did Bruce.  Therefore, I only got the unloading of the wood picture.  As soon as they left, Wes and Gayla came to get us.  We quick washed up and went out to their van.  On the way, Gayla gave me my birthday present.  I pulled out the beautiful Kleenex box holder Wes had made me first.  It's so nice!  Then I saw the card, so read it.  It was such a beautiful card that was about being family.  In the card was a gift certificate to Abele's Greenhouse so I could go get that angel I saw at the builders show.  That was so sweet of them, but way too much for my birthday.  They also paid for our perch dinners even though we tried to stop them.  They sure are great friends who are family in our hearts.  We came back home and played two games of 3-13.  Bill won the first game and Gayla won the second game.  The first game I went out with 3 wilds on the 3 hand.  WOW!  That was fun.  Too bad it didn't last.  They left, and I called Kimmy because I hadn't heard anything about Kit Kat.  Kimmy said she accidentally sent the text for me to Jared.  Jared had just gotten home with her about 10 minutes before I called.  It was 8:30 when I called.  She was doing good and Kimmy sent me a really sweet video and some pictures so I could see her.  Kimmy and Jared sure are kind and always willing to help.  Melissa called me before I went to bed.
Texted with Eli and Adam today.

Thurs., 3/24/22, Went to Abele's Greenhouse, went to Walmart, Took Bill to pick up his truck

My cactus blossoms look so beautiful now

Kit Kat loves her green toy

She loves her pink toy too...doesn't get as hyper with it as she does with the green one

Bill went with Charlie this morning.  I ate my oatmeal and drank my coffee, then did my Bible reading.  After that if went to Abele's Greenhouse and picked up a beautiful garden angel for my friend, Vikki's birthday.  I saw it at the Home Builder's show and loved it.  I didn't think of it for a present for her there though, but knew where I could get it.  I went to Walmart and took a block set I had picked up for the church nursery/toddler rooms.  It was so tiny it was ridiculous.  They took it back and the lady couldn't believe how little it was either.  Now I need to pick out something different.  I went to Best Buy too and got a magnetic phone holder for the car.  Rody put one in Vikki's car and it works great.

Vikki stopped over after school to pick up a surprise I got her.  I bought two make up items at Walgreens and got the third free, so got her what she uses for the free one.  She helped me decide where to put my phone holder for my car I got today too.  She had to leave right away to go get the kids from school.

I texted with Kimmy.  Bummed that the lady sold her a saddle that looked beautiful in the picture, but actually was badly cracked all over.  Kimmy and Jared would never do that to someone so it is all the more upsetting.

I took Bill to DJ's to pick up his truck.  DJ fixed the tire warning sensory light that kept coming on.  Bill was happy about that.  He couldn't fix my heated seat because it needs a new element.  He's trying to order one.  On our way, we stopped at the bank for Bill to get some money out to pay D.J.  Our bank wouldn't let him withdraw any money out.  We went back into Shields and were able to stop at another credit union and got it out.  Thankful I thought of trying that.  I saw a lady walking on the sidewalk in the rain, carrying a few of bags of groceries and one got a hole in it and lots of groceries were falling.  I stopped and gave her a large study Aldi's bag and she was so thankful and happy.  She even thought she had seen me before.  Little things are so important. On our way home, we stopped at Tony's and were happy that this Tony's still had great food and large portions.  The other one nearby has shrunk its portions.

I texted with Eli and Adam and even got to text with Lela.  She made me laugh about their 3-13 game.  It reminded me of Bill and my games of 3-13.  She also sent me some beautiful spring pictures of her birds and flowers. Made my day.

I got a beautiful friendship card from my friend Vikki E.  She is always so sweet.  She decorated the envelope so beautifully, I hated throwing it away.

Kit Kat races in the house whenever the door is opened.  She heads right for her toys now and wants to play with them.  What a weird cat.  I had to put her food and water up at 10 p.m. because she gets spayed tomorrow.

Wed., 3/23/22, Met Maddy at Creation Coffee, Went to Hallmark Store, Vicki B. came over, Went to Vicki B's house, Went to give Kody his presents

Me and Maddy at Creation Coffee

Kody opening his birthday gifts

Guess all he really needed was paper lol!

Adam's guitar came.  I'm so excited for him to learn how to play

I met Maddy at Creation Coffee this morning at 8:30.  It's a big place and there was only 2 other people in it.  We both had a mint cream ice mocha, the March special.  It was so delicious.  I can see why everyone is talking about how good their coffee is.  I had a blueberry muffin with mine and Maddy had a bagel with cream cheese.  We had a great visit and enjoyed our time together.  She gave me a beautiful purple glittery pen her mom made for me with mom written on it.  She had a doctor appt. with her heart doctor, so I prayed for her before we left.  I went to the Dollar Store to get some cards, then to Hallmark to get two special cards and look for something for my friend, Vikki's, birthday.

Came home and Bill was reading his Bible. Vicki B. got here right after me.  Bill and I went outside with her and he looked at her jeep to see how to take the hitch decoration off.  He saw that it needed a key, but she didn't have it on her.  He took some stickers off from her windows for her and she and I prayed for a while while he worked on it. We visited for about an hour, then she left to go run some errands.  We went to her house at 2, because she is selling Kevin's motorcycle to his son.  She wanted me there for support and wanted Bill there to help with the motorcycle.  He drove it up on the trailer for them.  Her little 2 yr. old granddaughter was there and was so cute.  She has a great vocabulary for her age.  Vikki made us coffee and gave us banana blueberry bread.  It was delicious.  We left there and headed to Stacie's to give Kody his birthday presents.  We played soccer with his new hover light up soccer balls. We had fun, but we adults had to take rests after playing.  Then Kody wanted us to play more.  We played balloon soccer ball too.  He begged us not to leave when we had to go.  He was so cute and sweet.

We came home and had left overs.  I had pork chops, he wanted hot dogs without the buns.  We both had mashed potatoes and cream style corn.  I wrote a letter to a sweet girl I had in my K-1 Sunday School class.  She's a teenager now and is going through some things and trying to make wiser choices, so I wrote to encourage her.  After that, I did my Bible reading and studying.

Kimmy sent me a picture of Adam and his new guitar.  I can't wait until he learns how to play it.  So thankful grandkids love music.

Tues., 3/22/22, Took Royce grandsons to horse class, Tim Hortons with Melissa, Our neighbors behind us are having a baby girl next month yay!

Jack and Evan with their Timbits.  They each wanted to save one for Abby.  Kind hearted boys and so handsome too.

Blossoms on my Christmas Cactus are opening
Used my new spoon rest from Kimmy and family.  Worked great.  Used my other one on the stove while I was using this one on the cupboard.
My club sandwich from Nori's today

I went to Melissa's at 8:30 and picked up her, Jack and Evan.  They had another birthday gift wrapped for me.  I opened it and it was a cat toy that was on a string and had a nice handled pole to hold.  This morning, I couldn't find Kit Kat's one toy she does have, so it sure was good timing.  We dropped the boys off at horse class, then Melissa and I went to Tim Hortons and Melissa treated me to a French Vanilla Cappuccino and a blueberry muffin.  Melissa got a Mocha and blueberry muffin.  We picked Max up a Boston Cream and the other boys a box of Tim Bits.  She treated me for an additional birthday present.  So sweet of her.   We ate at Melissa's and realized they had forgot Max's donut.  I went back and told them and they gave me one, so I headed back to Melissa's.  Max was super happy to get it and started eating it right away.  Melissa went to pick up the boys and they were happy to get their Timbits.  They are sure growing into nice young gentlemen.

After I left Melissa's, I went to my eye doctor's office and they adjusted the nose piece on my glasses.  It has been bothering me.  The guy was super nice and told me just to come back if it needed adjusting more.  I called Nori's in the parking lot and ordered a Club Sandwich.  By the time I drove around the corner and got there, it was ready for pick up.
It was the best ever!  Yum!

We both read our Bibles and then took a little nap.  Our neighbor from behind came over and wanted us to sign her petition to run for judge.  She is super nice, smart, and pro life and for families, so we were happy to.  She told us she is having a baby girl next month and we are so happy for them.  They are great neighbors and have blessed us lots.  Can't wait to pick out something for baby for them.

Texted with Vikki, Adam, Kimmy, Vicki Beemer, Kim R. Sherri S. and Merijo.  Talked to Vikki and lots to Melissa today.  Peyton and Isaac had good doctor appointments.  Sue is home from the hospital.  So happy they got her rhythm of her heart back where it should be.

I made coffee for Bill, then I went out and filled the bird feeders and suet feeder.  I found a dead mouse in my chipmunk trap.  I made me a coffee when I got in the house and made oatmeal.  At noon, we went to Roy and Marie's for lunch.  They are both doing so well now, after having Covid and having to recover for so long.  We haven't been to their house since before Christmas.  It was nice to visit and pray together and lunch was delicious. We had cabbage soup, homemade bread, braunschweiger, turkey ham, pickles and yummy apple pie.
We left there and walked through the Garden Place Shop.

In the evening, Vikki came over and Peyton, Isaac and Lily ate their McDonalds.  Isaac didn't want his cheeseburger, so I ate it.  After that we left for the roller rink.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys pulled in just before we did.  It was so much fun watching the kids and Jared have fun skating.  Kimmy even went around once on Vikki's skates.  Jared is an amazing skater!  Isaac and Eli skate so good now too.  We brought snacks to have and water to drink.
This kid was skating and jumping and was like super amazing.  He worked there and could skate anytime he wasn't busy.  I posted a video of him standing on his head in the middle of the rink, then skating around.  He was a super friendly kid and liked compliments on his skating.

I texted Melissa and she called me.  I'm picking her and the boys up tomorrow and taking the boys to their horse class, then Melissa and I are going to Tim Horton's and she's treating me.  Yay!  Texted with Eli and Adam today.  So nice to have Eli texting too!
