Got up early to get the dressing made, turkey in the oven, ham in the crockpot, cool whip on the pies, and some snacks out.  Bill went to the Marine Corp League Breakfast in Freeland.  He picked up some cheese and Hickory Stick afterwards.  Everyone came around 10:30-11.  We had a nice time hanging out and visiting.  We celebrated Charlie's 83rd birthday.  He was happy to see I made cupcakes for his birthday.  We sang to him, then he opened up his cards we all gave him.  The kids made cards for him.

Kimmy, Jared, Max and Vikki played Skip Bo.  Charlie, Sue, Bill and I played Euchre.  We each won 2 games so had to play a play off game.  The guys won by 1 point.  Charlie's Birthday present I guess lol.  Jack, Melissa, Kimmy and Eli played Skip Bo next.  Stacie, D.J. and Kody had to leave, so we took a break in the middle of our games to eat pie.  They wanted to get home before dark to take care of their chickens and goats.  Charlie and Sue left about an hour after them because it was snowing and blowing and causing ice on the roads.  Max had a great time and didn't even want to leave. He had fun talking with Jared.  They ended up going to Costco to get dog food for Wyatt.  It was a great day!

After they left, we played Pictionary.  I got the Pictionary game out from the closet shelf, and realized there was a Kids Pictionary game.  I tried to slide the one I had pulled out first back in its spot, but all the other games started sliding down.  Kimmy came to my rescue, then she reorganized all the games so they are easy to get out now.  There are certainly a lot of games in that closet.  Girls were against guys in Pictionary.  The girls were ahead for a long time, but I don't remember who actually won.  We sure had fun playing though.  I just went to the basement and the score is still on the board...Girls 20, guys 13.

The kids had fun doing flips, dancing and just hanging out together.  So nice to see them all having fun together.

Friday, 11/18/22, Went to Bible Study, helped ladies at church do Giving Tree tags, Made stuff for our Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Peyton and Isaac finally ate their Reeses Peanut Butter Cups we got them last month
Ready for our Thanksgiving tomorrow.  We picked up the picture on the wall on Facebook Market place.  Vikki found it for us.  The lady wanted $40, but came down to $30.  She got it from Wayfair for $99.  Vikki always finds what we need and like.  Thanks Vikki!

Maddy sent me cute pictures of Brielle today.  She had her eye appointment today and got a good report.  The hemangioma has shrunk rapidly and her eyesight is great!  Thanking Jesus!
Looks like she celebrated the great news

I made dough in the bread maker before going to church for our last Bible Study on 1 Peter. It sure has been a good one.  Both groups were together today and we had coffee and coffee cake while we did our lesson.  A group of us stayed after to help write items needed on tags, punch holes and put hooks in and hang them on the tree.  It didn't take long with all of us, and it was fun.

When I got home, I turned the bread makers on the dough setting.  Made the pies, made cheesy potatoes, cupcakes for Charlies birthday which is tomorrow.  Got some things moved and then got the tables set up and covered.  Lots of other stuff on my list got done too.  I put worship music on while I worked .

Bill called a lady on Face Book Market Place to see if she would go down $10 on the picture yesterday.  She called tonight and said she would, so we went and picked it up.  She was really nice.  It looks really nice, but doesn't show up clear in the pictures.

Peeled potatoes for tomorrow and on the stove ready to turn on tomorrow when the time is right.  Talked to Kimmy, Melissa and Vikki today.  My phone accidentally pocket dialed Bruce twice in a row when I wasn't even touching it, so he called me to see if it was a for real call and I got to talk to him.  Messaged with Kenzie.

Thurs., 11/17/22, Up early to read Bible and get morning things done, Jacob texted me that he got into the All State Band. I am so happy for him and so proud of him! We went to Vikki's, Went to Melissa's, went to Texas Roadhouse

Surprise when I looked out this morning..more snow
Beautiful sunrise with the trees sparkling in the sun.  Picture doesn't show it clear.
Kit Kat was so happy when I put a couple of toys out for her to play with.  She sure played with them lots.

Hailey said it was very cold out and I sure can tell from this picture

I got up early this morning, (6 a.m.) that's early for me.  Got laundry going, dishwasher unloaded, Bible Study and reading done.  Spent some time with Kit Kat.  She loves her house right now and stays it lots.

I finished the rest of the cleaning, made pie crusts and pudding for making the pies tomorrow.  Tomorrow morning I will be up early starting, to make rolls before Bible Study, so I can bake them when I get home.

We went to Vikki's, then went to Melissa's, then to Kroger to get 4x gift cards, then to Texas Roadhouse for a delicious meal.  Bill used his voucher.  He got a 8 oz. sirloin and I got the 6 oz. that was on the voucher. We both got big baked potatoes and a huge salad, plus their delicious rolls.  I brought have of my steak home because I was full.  I will enjoy it tomorrow when I'm busy and need to eat something.  When we came left there, it was really snowing lots.  The roads were terrible!

Jacob texted me to let me know he got into Allstate band, first school clarinet from Meridian.  He loves music and he practices a lot.  He sure deserves it!  I am so proud of him and so happy for him.  He said he is really excited, and I am excited for him.  He's a great kid and a super fantastic grandson!  I think Kimmy said 2500 tried out for this and they were only choosing 400.  Quite an honor for him to be chosen.

Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, Went shopping, Peyton and Isaac came over to pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, Bill went to the Marine Corp League,

Beautiful out, but still not ready for snow

Good cup of coffee on a snowy day.  One of my favorite mugs, but then Kimmy and Jared's mugs are all my favorite!
Kit Kat slept all night in her cage.  She enjoyed her breakfast this morning, then went back in her house.  She spent most of the morning in there.

This gave me a good laugh today!!!
Isaac packing his shoe box
Peyton packing her shoe box
Nice picture our church posted today of the kids at the church sleep over.  Eli looks like he is having fun!

I got up before Bill so I could get some things done on my get ready for Thanksgiving list.  The ground was covered in white.  It was beautiful!  I ate oatmeal for breakfast and had Starbuck's coffee....(made here!)  Bill and I both did our Bible reading and devotion time right after breakfast.   Bill's truck is in for a recall.  He and Charlie took it in yesterday and it's still not done.  Found out it will be tomorrow before it's ready.  I went shopping at Aldi, the Dollar Tree, and Walmart.  I wrapped a couple of shoe boxes for Peyton and Isaac to fill for Operation Christmas Child.  They were buggers to wrap because the lids are attached and the one had big flaps that had to be wrapped too.  I was still working on wrapping when Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac.  I finished, and Peyton filled a girl's box and Isaac filled a boy's box.  They always do a great job of packing things in.  The girl's had a doll in it and the boys had a soccer ball Bill deflated for us.  It took some good packing to fit those in with everything else.  We prayed for the children who will receive them.  Tomorrow, I will drop them off at a church close by.

I caught up on my letters to our Compassion child and Food for the Hungry child and got them mailed out today.  They write such sweet letters and draw us the cutest pictures.  Did some more work in the basement.

I talked to Melissa today.  Also talked to lots of friends and texted with Adam and others.  Bill went to the Marine Corp League meeting.

Monday, 11/14/22, Walked on treadmill, did Bible reading and study, got groceries and gas, cleaned out some junk that was in the basement, dinner with Linda and George

Kit Kat was happy we moved the bench to this spot.  I put her blanket on it and
crawled up to lay down right away.  I thought it would protect her cat house some in the winter.
Linda, George, Bill and me at Golden Corral
Bill looking very handsome with the haircut he got today.  The girls will be happy!  They were offering to cut it for him.

I got up early to walk on the treadmill.  Listened to good worship music while I walked 2 miles.  Bill went for coffee with Charlie.  I cleaned some stuff that we haven't used at all or haven't used for years out of the back room in the basement.  I realized that our Thanksgiving is this Sat., so I decided I had better go get the rest of the stuff I need for the meal.  I went to Meijer, then to Sam's Club.  Also got gas at Sam's Club for $3.89.  I picked up 2 turkeys that were on sale at Meijer, a 21 1/2 lb. and a 22 lb.  Now my three parties I am having for Thanksgiving and Christmas are covered.  I also bought a nice ham for Thanksgiving.

I moved more clothes upstairs and brought down the rest of my winter clothes.  Bill repaired the step to the kids swing set slide he hit and broke with the new zero turn lawn tractor.  He also moved the brick under the pool he hit back.  He couldn't do much about the two dents in the tree.  He hasn't damaged the tractor though so that is good. He worked blowing off the deck and picking up the leaves in the yard.  He keeps up with them really good.

We met Linda and George at the Golden Corral so the guys could get their free Veteran's meal.  We ate lots and it was all so good.  We had a great time visiting too.

Maddy and Brielle dressed in matching dresses...so cute

We went to our prayer groups before church.  Prayer time was awesome.  It was an amazing church service too, with awesome worship.  Celebration Sunday today with two baby dedications and 5 baptisms.  So happy and thankful to see all of these people making great decisions for the Lord.  Pastor Ken gave an amazing message too.  We are blessed.  We prayed for people after church.  George and Linda came to church today too.  I talked to her at the Marine Corp. Ball and invited her.  They are looking for a good church.  I was very happy to see them.  Diane and James invited us to go to the Olive Garden for lunch with them.  We had a good time with them.  So thankful for great friends.  We came home and both napped on the love seat recliners.  Vikki face timed me and could tell right away I had been sleeping lol.  She showed me a cute shelf she got and put up and some other things.  After I was more awake, Bill and I went outside and put away the rest of the stuff that needed to be put away for the winter.  He fixed Kit Kat's cat house for me too and did a great job.  We took the screens off for the winter too.  Some need repairing from Kit Kat clawing them.  Watched a movie in the evening.

I love how Vader crosses his paws

Read my Bible.  We drove separately to Faith Rider's Chapter meeting, because Bill had to get a free oil change in the truck afterward for Veteran's Day.  It was a great meeting.  Such wonderful friends there.  I stopped at Vikki's for a little while on my way home.  I came home, then thought about Kimmy coming, so I went and picked up 1/2 bushel of apples for each of us.  They are really nice apples this year.  Bill got home shortly after I got home.  He sure was happy, they paid for the whole oil change.....it is lots of money for a diesel truck.
Vikki got here with Peyton, Eli, and Isaac at 2:15.  Kimmy was coming after. They all warmed up what they wanted to eat....goulash or chicken casserole.  Evan and Eli ate pizza. Bill and I had to leave to go get the camper.  When we got there, Bill told them he wanted to try the new awning to make sure it worked.  Well, they hooked the wires to the switch inside the camper wrong.  When you push extend the awning retracts and when you push retract, it extends.  We ended up leaving it for them to correct.  Such a bummer!  Bill told them they need to knock some money off for the two wasted trips we have made there with a diesel truck.  The girl said she would be working on it.  She was really nice and was out trying it with us.  We headed home, and made it in time to play Skip Bo with Vikki, Jared and Kimmy.  Bill didn't want to play.  Kimmy and Jared beat by 1 card this time.  Everyone left, then Melissa, Hailey, Jack and Evan came over for a while with Vader and Abby.  They ate some goulash and chicken casserole too.  We visited for a long time, then Jack, Melissa and I played Skip Bo.  I taught them how to play during the first 2 hands.  Bill came home, and we started over so he could play.  Melissa was the winner.  What a fun day.  I sure was happy to see Hailey.  Miss having her around now that she's in college.
