Peyton took this cute picture after her swim clas
Adam sent me this picture of him and Hope at the Planetarium in Bay City
Gayla sent me this picture of Wes at Hammock State Park in Florida

We went to prayer me with the prayer group and Bill with the Elders.  We went into the service after.  Vikki let me hold Rehvyn right away.  Bill had just been holding him when I walked to our row.  After I held him for a couple minutes, I gave him back to her because she was going to have to go help in Sunday School with Thomas.  Peyton and Isaac both held him for a while too.  During the message, I got to hold him the whole time.  He fell asleep pretty fast and slept the rest of the time.  When we had to go up to pray for people, I gave him to Peyton to hold.  She was happy to take him.  We prayed for lots of people today.  After church, we visited some, then went to the Olive Garden with Diane, her son John, and family.  They have a baby boy that was born on Dec. 3rd and Rehvyn was born Dec. 11.  Fun seeing another baby Rehvyn’s same age.  He was super cute too. Diane treated us for my Birthday.  I also got a free desert which I shared...Italian donuts.  Vikki sent me a picture of Pastor Ken with Rehvyn.  She was holding him after church and Pastor Ken came up to her and wanted to hold Rehvyn so took him.  Vikki took the cute picture.  So sweet how he did this.  I talked to Vikki on our way home and again later on when we got home from the show.

We came home and took naps.  I didn’t sleep real good last night.  We went to see the movie Ordinary Angels which is a true story.  It was really good.  We got popcorn there, but took Ollipops along to drink so we would have something healthier than pop.  We talked to a couple after the movie who were happy to be able to have a good movie to go to.  They were really sweet.  When we went to go out the door, the man called to Bill and asked him if he used to work at Saginaw Manufacturing.  He said yes.  They worked together for 30 years and retired the same year.

I talked to Melissa for a long time when we got home.  Worked on my blog too.  Then read on Kimmy’s blog.  So thankful to have her blog to catch up on now.

Kevin, our contractor, was supposed to come work today.  He called and said he was having battery trouble.  We waited for a long time, then Bill texted him.  Didn’t get any answer.  Finally we decided to go to the Builder’s Show.  We called to see if Vikki wanted to come with us.  I was happy to hear Rehvyn was already at her house and we got to see him and Peyton too.  We had fun walking around and getting some goodies while we did.  We came back to our house for chili afterwards.  We hung out for a while, then Vikki had to leave for home.  It sure was fun seeing them and. holding sweetie Rehvyn.  He just has the best smile and is so sweet.  Love that I get to see him so often, and when I don’t see him I get to FaceTime with him.  Sure do love this sweetie.  Love my Pey Pet too.
I got a really sweet text from Isaac today for Papa and I.  I love him so much too.  Bill and I watched the movie, Danny’s Daughter which was good.  We had ice cream for a treat while we watched it.  We already finished off the yummy cookies Hailey made earlier.  Her cookies are the best!

I listened to some videos Jews for Jesus had.  Praying for the people of Israel to accept Jesus as their Messiah and Lord and Savior.

I worked on my blog.  Earlier, I spent lots of time reading Kimmy’s blogs.  I am so happy she caught up.  I enjoy reading her blogs so much!

Friday, 3/22/24, Call from Bill’s sister Carol who needed to go to urgent care, lots of snow by 7 already, made chili, Hailey and I listened to worship songs at the table while drinking our coffee this morning and she shared some good ones with me, Hailey and I made cookies,

Peyton made this cute flowered bracelet today.  She just made it up herself.
Adam sent me this picture today of him and Hope with her flowers
Hailey made cookies today.  I just helped get ingredients out and got them out of the oven.  They taste delicous!
Cookies with no nuts for Hailey
Cookies for me and Bill with nuts

There are about 5 cardinals and 3 bluejays in this picture. Mr. squirrel visited too

We were sleeping when Bill got a text from his sister Carol.  She sent a picture and said she needed to go to urgent care.  Things always happen when theres a big snow storm it seems.  He had me look at the picture.  She had a huge blister/boil on her leg the size of the bottom of one of Kimmy’s mugs.  She also said she was getting low on oxygen and her other tank was in her car which was in getting worked on.  She had Bill go there first and get that tank, then he picked her up and took her to urgent care.  I was happy to see Kimmy’s boys didn’t have school today.  Didn’t want Kimmy out on bad roads.  I called to find out how Carol was doing.  They had said they could see a small scratch and it has caused an infection.  They ordered an antibiotic for her.  Good thing she went in.  Bill took her by Melissa’s house and showed it to her on their way back to her house.  She stays home except for appointments these days.  Her prescription wasn’t ready so Bill came home and will pick it up later. I called Sue to see how she was doing after that.  She had a visiting nurse come, and was in a lot of pain.  The nurse said she had to take her pain meds so she could walk and do what is needed.  She did but said a therapist was coming and she didn’t feel like doing therapy.  She probably will once the medicine works.  No fun to go through, but worth it in the end.

I got up when Bill did, and started making chili.  It was done and simmering by the time Hailey got up.  She ate cereal, and we both drank our coffee together.  She loves worship like I do, so she shared her favorite new worship songs with me and I shared some with her.  We spent the morning listening to all of them.  Awesome praise to our Lord!

We decided to make cookies.  She loves to bake so, I got the ingredients out and she made the cookies.  I put them in the oven and took them out.  This is only the second time I’ve used my oven.  I would set the timer and then hit cancel to stop it and it would turn my oven off too.  She showed me that the timer had on/off by it too and that if I just hit that only the timer would go off.  Well that sure was great to find out.  I didn’t want to keep having to reset the oven.  The cookies turned out great and were delicious!  Bill came home with a chocolate chip muffin for Hailey and a Boston cream donut for me.  He had called to find out what we wanted.  He was happy to see cookies made.  He cleaned the snow off her car, then he shoveled the sidewalk and around her car so it would be good when she had to go to her doctor appt.  He said it was really heavy snow.

She went to her appointment, then to her house to pick up pop cans her dad wanted her to take back.  Bill and I took a nap until she got back.  That sure felt good.  When she got back, I loaded my pop cans in my car and Hailey loaded hers in.  We took them in to Meijer.  I gave her the money from my cans.  She doesn’t like Apple Pay like the other kids, so this made her happy.  I only had 10 miles I could go before I would be out of gas, so I went to the Speedway station by our house.  I was just going to put gas in, but for some reason I pulled up to the wrong side for my gas tank.  I had just got back in the car to move, when Bill called me and said he needed gas and asked if I did.  I told him how low I was and he said to meet him at Kroger so we could get your 60 cents off a gallon up to 35 gallons.  By the time Hailey and I got there, I only had 4 miles to go on my tank.  I never like being low on gas, but was trying to stay low because I was waiting til Bill needed gas.  I was so glad to have a full tank of gas again.

He went to pick up Carol’s prescription and take it to her.  He also picked up some curtains he wants to hang across the center of the basement so the ping pong balls stay in the one area.  Hailey and I came back to my house and she packed up her things and I packed up some chili and her cookies for her.  Then she left.  She had to stop at her mom’s again, and then was leaving to go back to her dorm.  She let me know when she got there.  I’m always happy to hear when kids and grandkids are home safe.  I talked to Melissa for a while, then talked to Vikki for a while.  It was still snowing out.

National Flower Day today!!!!!  Jacob showing Jacob how to arrange flowers the way his mom taught him.  So cute!
Flowers Jacob got Abby
Flowers Adam got Hope

Flower Bill got me...whoops Flour.  Read his note!

Flower Jared got Kimmy....I finally figured out where Bill got his idea from.  Now they need to bake us something with it.

We got up early so we could get ready and go pray with Sue La before she had knee replacement surgery.  We got there at the same time, waited together in the waiting room, then went back in pre op with them when we all prayed for her.  Bill and I went back into the waiting room after that,  and split a bagel and he got a coffee and I got a cappuccino.  Charlie told Bill he was in a different waiting room.  I walked down and checked the lab waiting room, and also the one way at the end of the hallway.  No Charlie.  When I got back to Bill, he went to look in the regular waiting room again.  Then he saw him around the corner in the Pet Scan waiting room.  We sat in there with him for a minute, then the girl came in and told him he should be waiting in the regular waiting room.  We all headed out there then.  Charlie went and got a bagel and a pop.  The surgery took about 1 1/2 hours, then the doctor came and talked to us in a room and told us everything went really good.  We went into recovery after that and talked to Sue, but she was still really groggy.  Charlie said we should go home and he would call us when he was taking her home so we could come help him get her in.  They said she wouldn’t go home today if she couldn’t walk today.  We left and came home and took a nap.  Around 4 we got a call from Charlie saying they were home and she walked up their ramp into the house.  Yay!  She wanted to rest after that.

I went to Cracker Barrel to take back a Sarah Young book I had bought to give Debbie.  I was paging through it, and it wasn’t what I thought it was.  I wanted something that would help her which what she is going through right now.  After I returned it, I went to Subway and got Bill and I both a six inch sub.  We ate them when I got home.

Melissa called today and Evan is sick and coughing.  None of us have been around him, so that’s good.  We prayed together that Melissa and no one else in there house would get it.  They are being really careful.  Hailey is coming home this evening and she’s staying with us so she doesn’t catch anything.  All the schools in the area are already cancelled except Adam and Eli’s schools and the other schools in Midland.  They always wait til the last minute if they even cancel at all.

Hailey got here, so I took her to Taco Bell since Kitchen Closed, Let’s eat Out was happening tonight.  (My dad used to always say that to me if we would go out to eat). We ate on the way to go pick up her things from her house on the porch.  We did a quick visit on the porch and I opened my Birthday gift from them.  I got yummy Almond Joy candy bars and a Patagonia fanny pac that can be worn over the shoulder or around the waste.  Hailey has one and I’ve always liked it, especially when you want to go for a walk and want to take just what you need with you.  I love the color of it too.  What a great gift!  It’s so nice, and Almond Joys are my favorites.  Thank you Melissa and family.   We sanitized our hands and things so we wouldn’t get any germs, and stayed outside.  Took a few pictures too.

We came home and Bill had to do a Zoom Meeting with our National Evangelist and State Coordinators in the North Central Region.  After they were done, Bill, Hailey and I played Uno Flip.  We laughed so much.  We couldn’t remember what direction we were going, we couldn’t remember whose turn it was, we couldn’t remember what each card meant (Bill had to keep checking), but we sure had fun.  Bill finally used a clothes pin to point the direction we were playing.  Then he would forget to turn it.  Hailey won, and Bill was the big loser.  Hailey and I had to tape the score sheet because he ripped it up.

Wed., 3/20/24, Went with Kimmy to pick Jacob up from college, went to Jews for Jesus presentation at church in the evening

When Kimmy and I went to get Jacob, we ran into a little stretch of road in the country that didn’t have much snow, but it was blowing so hard it was enough to make the road along that stretch icy.  Thankful it was clear roads most of the way.

The heart charm I got my friend Vikki with her stuff opens up and is so cute.  Good thing I thought to tell her.  She didn’t notice that.  The hearts and nice words on them is what made me think of her when I saw it.  See below

I made my morning coffee.  Then I ate strawberries for breakfast and had a cookie afterward.  I got ready, worked on getting a $100 rebate for our stove and microwave which took some time, then headed to Kimmy’s.  It had snowed out, but the sun was shining so the roads were clear.  When I got to Kimmy’s town, there was no snow.  Then when I was just about to her road, I went over a hill and everything was white from blowing snow.  It was so weird.  I went to go to my car and Kimmy asked me what I was doing and said she was driving.  I quickly headed to her van and was hurrying because it was so cold and windy, and boom, I walked right into her bike carrier on the back of her van.  It hit me right where the center piece of my glasses is over my nose.  It bled for a while, but only hurt when I first did it.  Bummer!  Kimmy wondered if the roads were going to be bad because it looked so bad there and was snowing some.  I reassured her it wasn’t bad a mile up the road.
We had great roads, everywhere but that little area I took a picture of.  We were thankful it wasn’t all bad like that stretch.

We picked Jacob up.  It sure was good to see him.  A couple of brackets broke on his braces so he has to go to his orthodontist to have them fixed. Before we started out, Kimmy put a Tim Horton’s that was about 17 minutes away in her GPS.  We had a couple of missed/wrong turns, but we made it.  We got something to eat, and Kimmy and I got drinks.

We picked Adam up from school, then dropped Jacob off at his appointment, then picked Eli up, then dropped Adam and Eli off at home.  I headed home then.  I should have taken a picture, but didn’t get my phone out fast enough.  Eli went to feed Bo and all the chickens were walking along with him.  It was cute and funny.  Kimmy was heading back to get Jacob.  It was fun riding along today and nice seeing all of the boys.  I didn’t even think to take a picture until I was on my way home.  Too Late!  I read my Bible and did my devotion when I got home.

We went to a presentation by Jews for Jesus about the Last Supper.  It was so good and the person presenting it had great testimonies of what Jesus has done in his life and many miracles.  He was very interesting to listen to.  I sure am praying for Israel and God’s chosen people.  We came home and I worked on my blog.

Best Friend forever, Vikki and I at Zehnder’s for our free birthday lunches
She wrapped my gifts just beautifully!  She is so talented at that!
Beautiful Solar Angel Garden stake she got me
Nice plant stand set she got me too
So nice to be able to spread them out.  They were getting pretty crowded.
Porch delivery on swing
Delicious and beautiful cookies from my wonderful other friend Vicki and her family
Birthday celebration Debbie had for me at G’s.
Kimmy, Melissa, Debbie, Peyton, Eli, Jack, Matthew, dam, Isaac, me, Bill and Jared.  Vikki and Rody were there for a few minutes, but had to leave because Vikki’s Appreciation night for work was tonight and she had already given her RSVP

Bill met Charlie for coffee.  I got ready, then went to Cracker Barrel to buy some more wooden mushrooms.  I was happy this one had them too.  I met my friend Vikki at Zehnder's after that.  We got there when it wasn’t busy, and got a nice big booth.  They brought our appetizers right away.  We had the free birthday dinners which was family style chicken dinner.  We got sundaes for dessert too.  The food was all delicious.  We packed up lots of left overs for Vikki’s mom and dad.  She was going to see them afterwards.  They are in their 90’s and really liked getting the yummy food.  We both waited until we got home to open our gifts this time because the things she got me came in big boxes.  She followed me back.  I was telling Siri to call her when we got off the expressway and she was calling me at the same time.  We talked for a little while, then said our goodbyes.  She’s been my best friend for 54 years.  I met her 56 years ago. We worked at a tv station together.  That’s where I met Bill’s sister too, and eventually she introduced me to Bill.

When I got home, I opened her gifts.  Everything was so nice.  I took pictures and texted then to her and thanked her.  When she got home, about 2 1/2 hours away, she opened her gifts and sent me a picture and a thank you text.

I relaxed in my recliner and Bill relaxed in his for about an hour.  Vikki called and I talked to her for a while.  After that, we got ready and went and met Debbie and Matthew at G’s.  We saw Kimmy, Jared, Adam, Eli, Melissa, and Jack walking in the parking lot.  I panicked for a minute thinking Bill might have planned a big party which I’m not a big party person, so I asked him if he did.  He said no (whew).  Vikki, Rody and the twins were inside with Debbie and Matthew.  Debbie decided to surprise me and have them all come for pizza and cupcakes too.  She treated us all.  She is so generous and thoughtful.  Jacob and Hailey were at college, Evan had play practice, Tom was in Florida,  Bruce had to take Max somewhere and Kenzie has a long drive to get there so they weren’t there.  We sure had a great time and the food was delicious.  Most important was that Bill was able to anoint Debbie with oil and pray for healing for her according to the Word of God and we as a family agreed in prayer too.   We were very happy when we talked to Jared tonight that his mom was heading home from the hospital.  We are praising and thanking God!

We came home, I read my Bible and did my devotions, then worked on my blog.

Monday, 3/18/24, Kimmy, Vikki, Melissa, Bill and I went to Tony’s for breakfast, Kimmy and I went and got suet and bird food, Vikki came over after she got done with work, They stayed til around 6. It was so much fun hanging out the whole day on my birthday!

Me and my sweet twin grandkiddos on my birthday

Kimmy came over early, then rode with Bill and I to Tony’s.  Vikki was already there and had a booth saved.  Debbie called and sang Happy Birthday to me.  She’s going to call me later.  Melissa came shortly after.  We had already ordered what she wanted for breakfast.  Gayla and Wes called from Florida and sang Happy Birthday to me.  We had fun eating and visiting.  Thanks girls for buying our breakfasts.  Vikki had to go to work right afterwards, Melissa had to go home, and Kimmy came back to our house and spent the day.  We went to Menards, and I got a ten pack of suet.  We went to Jack’s and Kimmy got 50 lbs. of birdseed and some thistle seed.  We came home and put my suet and thistle seed in the rubbermaid box I got for my birthday yesterday. It all fit in it with the 50 lbs. of bird seed and the peanuts.  Amazing.  How handy to have it outside on the deck.  It was cold and windy so I wasn’t going to go out there til tomorrow, but Kimmy was going to do it, so we did it together.  It was so much easier and so handy having it so handy.

We came in the house and warmed up, then Kimmy, Bill and I played a game of 3-13.  Kimmy won and I came in third.  You would think they would give me good cards on my birthday wouldn’t you.

Vikki came when we were almost finished.  We girls went in the family room by the fireplace.  We visited and had a relaxing afternoon.  When it was time to pick Peyton and Isaac up, Vikki and Kimmy went and did that, and I went to the bank to get my new cards.
We left at the same time and got back to my house at the same time.  The kids had ice cream that Aunt Kimmy dished up for them and we had snacks.  It was such a fun day.

In the evening, we watched a good movie called, Amazing Love.  I worked on my blog during commercials.
