Ha ha Vikki took a picture of me too without me knowing.  We are funny!

Vikki and I worked at recovering the benches in the camper.  We were new at this, but they turned out good.

It sure looks good.  I should have taken a before picture

Hailey
Evan

I got up early and picked the garden before it rained.  I picked cucumbers and beets.  I finished just before the rain started.  It didn't rain long, then the sun came out.  Bill and I went to Walmart to get material and velcro to recover the benches in the camper.  We went to the pool place after because one of our hoses sprung a leak and he needed to replace it.  We got home and he needed me to stop the water from flowing out of the pool, so I got in and held something over it to stop it.  It didn't take him long to change it.  The water felt so good, that I stayed in and swam.  I talked to Kimmy for a while while I was in.  I watched the orioles which I sure enjoyed.  Vikki called and when I told her I was in the pool she decided they would come swimming.  I swam 735 yards before they got here.  Then we just relaxed on our floating hammocks while they were here.

We ate meatloaf sandwiches for lunch.  Melissa came over with Jack and Evan.  They didn't eat with us because they were full from Burger King.  It is so nice that Melissa is driving again and doing so well.  We had a fun time hanging out with her.  While she was here, Vikki and I started covering the benches in the camper.  We are leaving Sat. for BayShore, so have to have it done before then, plus still need to pack our stuff in the camper.  We sure were happy with how it turned out.  Great to have that job done!

Vikki went to take Lenny and Lucy to the dog park and meet Misty there.  I took beets and cucumbers to Lisa from church, and then went to Melissa's to take the Nesquick I picked up for them at Sam's Club to them.  They were out of it at all the stores they tried, so were happy to be able to get it.  Max takes his medicine with it.  I got to see Hailey and Evan while I was there.

Bruce and Melissa got a good report about their roof today.  No mold!  Yay!  It was some mildew, but Bruce shut the vents off in the bathroom and turned the big fan on and it has taken care of that.  The guy put in a couple of new vents that were needed and they are all set now.  No major problem like we thought it could be.  We prayed a lot so we are thanking God!!!.

Vikki came back after the dog park, and we finished the last bench.  Boy were we happy we were done and that it looked so great.  Vikki left and I watered the garden.  Then we came in and relaxed.  That sure felt good.

Wed., July 27, 2022, Went to Kimmy's, Got food prepared for Marie and Roy's visit, Went to Brandt's Farm Market, Put stuff back in Laundry room

Lela sent me these cute pictures from Copper Harbor.  These pictures are called now you see them, now you don't....so funny.  We have some really tall grandsons!

Someone bought Hemmeters Farm Market, so I visited it today to get a couple onions.  It's called Brandt Farm Market now.  I also got some corn as it was delivered while I was there

Me and Marie by the big bouquet of flowers she brought me.  So sweet of her!

The three pictures above are of the laundry room all finished.
Kit Kat laying next to me while I read my Bible and prayed! She's such a good kitty!
The garden is way taller than I am now.  The fence post is 5 feet.

Got up early and headed to Kimmy's to check on the animals.  Thought I would take care of them so they would be all set when Kimmy and Jared got home.  All were doing great.  I was happy to know that.  Bill went to breakfast with Charlie.
I got home and did laundry.  I went to Brandt's Farm Market and picked up a couple of onions I needed to make lunch.  I was happy when corn was delivered while I was there.  I got 6 ears to go with the three I got from Dave Wightman last night at prayer.
I peeled and sliced cucumbers for my vinegar, sugar and onion recipe. I baked some brownies for dessert and while they were baking, peeled potatoes to grill for lunch.  Then I made up some iced tea.  Last of all, I  mixed up the burger and stuff for stuffed peppers, cut the tops off the peppers and stuffed them.  By the time I got that done, it was time to bake the peppers (and also a meatloaf with the extra filling), and put the potatoes in foil and grill them.  While they were cooking I boiled my water and shucked the corn and then put it in to cook.  Everything got done together which was what I was hoping for.  Marie and Roy got here after her doctor appt.  She had a good appt.  We ate about 20 minutes after they got here.  We had a very nice visit.  Before they went home, we walked out to look at the garden, and I picked some beets, peppers, kale and a few cherry tomatoes. I also gave them some cucumbers that I washed up this morning.  They were happy with the produce, and I was happy to share.  Kimmy called me while they were here and they were waiting to cross the Mackinaw Bridge.  She said it would be 2 hours, but it ended up being much longer.  She told me they got me a cinnamon roll from the Hilltop.  Could there be anything better!  That made me excited.  Those are my favorite.  I was so happy to get the call that they had crossed it.  Yay!
I was very happy when Bill got the parts to the shelf he needed to replace and got it hung for me.  I got everything back in the laundry room.  Good project to have done.
We did our absentee voting together.  Will take them in tomorrow.  So excited that our neighbor is running for Circuit Court Judge.  Praying she gets elected, because she will be great for the job.  She has a lot of judges and people supporting her.
Talked to Melissa for a while.  Talked to Vikki a few times today too.  I am so excited that Kimmy and family are getting home tonight.  I can't wait to see them.  I sure have missed them!

Tues, 7/26/22, Finished painting Laundry room, Had two cute visitors (Peyton and Isaac), Went to Prayer

Isaac
Peyton...her hair looks red because Papa's light was set on pink

Got up early and ate breakfast and read my Bible.  Bill unhooked the washer and dryer and moved them out for me.  I started taping the last wall in the laundry room that needs painting.  Did some sparkling too.  So nice to have it finished.  Peyton and Isaac came over while Vikki went to an appointment.  Vikki brought me an Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich which was yummy.  Thanks Vikki!  The kids were so good and so much fun to have.  Peyton swam with me, then sorted and played with her legos she brought.  They played together on their computers for a while too.  We had ice cream sandwiches.  Bill worked on the gate to the pool.  It's almost done.  Bill hung the shelves back up in the laundry room.  He has to get a couple of parts to finish the one shelf, because a couple broke.  I will take a picture when all is back in order.  Yay, Kimmy, Jared and the boys come home tomorrow.  I sure can't wait to see them all.  I've already been praying for their safe trip home.  Bill had a zoom meeting with Ziggy and Ron.  I went to prayer at church.  Praying lots for our church's Vacation Bible School and all who will be at it.  Walked outside and prayed over the grounds after praying inside.

Monday, 7/25/22, Took Curtains back to Meijer, Weeded and picked garden, Went to Costco and Country Creamery, Bill had elders meeting, I painted Laundry room

Me and Hailey at our favorite place, eating our favorite food, and me catching up on her
time at Worship Arts Camp for a week and last week as a Camp Counselor at BayShore.  I always have so much fun with her.  I took her to see Vikki and Rody's new house. She is the last one of the grandkids to see it because she was gone.  We took pop bottles back afterwards and then came to my house and hung out for a while.

Hailey and I relaxed out on the deck.  Kit Kat joined us, but curled up and went to sleep.
All of the garden goodies from today's picking

Bill mowing the grass
Dropped off cucumbers to Melissa when I took Hailey home and took these pictures of Jack
Jack with his first bow he made.  It shoots pretty far too!

Bill and I went and he filled my car with gas at Costco for $4.17 which is much less then gas in Saginaw.  Afterwards, we walked through Costco and then went to the Country Creamery and got ice cream.  It was delicious and was so nice sitting outside watching people drop in from the rail trail.

Bill went to an elder's meeting at church, so I decided to start painting the Laundry room grey.  Had to wait for him to get home and take the shelves off to paint more.

Got up early and went to Meijer and took back Blackout curtains that we didn't like as well as the other ones.  Bill went to coffee with Charlie. I weeded and picked the garden.
Went and picked up Hailey and took her to Coco Loco's for lunch.  We went to Meijer after that and took pop cans back, then went to visit Vikki.  Hailey liked her house a lot.  Came home and hung out with Hailey.  Sat out on the deck.  It was a cooler day today.   I took Hailey home, then dropped cucumbers off to Melissa. Bill mowed the grass.  I called him to see if he wanted to go to Costco with me and then to Country Creamery for ice cream and he said yes.  We had the best ice cream there.   We read our Bibles and Bill showered and got ready to go to the elder's meeting.  I started moving things out of the laundry room so I could paint it grey.  That little room holds a lot of stuff.  I got 1 1/2 walls done and will continue tomorrow as I had wait for Bill to take the shelves down for me.  Can't wait til it is done.  I face timed Vikki a couple of times.  Talked to Melissa a couple of times.

Evan and Jack after playing Gaga Ball

We went to prayer, then into the church service.  I worked in Children's church.  It was a really good lesson today.  After church, we went to Olive Garden with Diane, James, Maddy and Alec.  Diane and James treated everybody.  We came home and relaxed for a little while, then at 3 went to Melissa and Bruce's to celebrate Jack's birthday.  It was a fun party and Jack sure has matured.  He is growing up.  Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Ron were there.  We all sang Happy Birthday to him, then he blew out his candles (missing one)  The cake and ice cream were delicious.  We enjoyed watching him open his gifts afterward.  We got to see Bella, the new guinea pig.  It's so cute.  It's mostly Jack's pet even though it's a family pet too.  Papa got Jack going outside and they sure had fun and laughed a lot.
They finally settled down so we could get a picture with Jack.

In the evening, Peyton and I went to the night of Worship for Hopevale in Bay City.  It was by the water and was so nice.  They did some amazing worship, playing a lot of Maverick City Worship and sounding so amazing.  There were lots more people this time, than last year.  The boys payed lots of Gaga Ball behind where we were sitting.

After we left, Peyton and I stopped at McDonald's for food and a McFlurry.  I had so much fun with her, and I am so glad she wanted to come with me.  Bill took Max out to eat while we were at the concert, then they went to the movie Thor, but it was so awful and also had so much swearing, they walked out.  I am thankful that Bill is a great example by not watching things God wouldn't want us to watch and sets such a great example for his grandkids.
