Sure is enjoying a popsicle while he’s not feeling well

 It was 38 degrees when we got up this morning, but was raining out.  No wind though so that seemed nice.  We read our Bibles, then ate our breakfast.  Kenzie FaceTimed me and I got to see Rehvyn.  She said his fever was down now without Motrin.  He still isn’t himself, but I did get a smile and a one hand wave that was so cute.  I prayed for him and can’t wait till he is complete better.  Hailey was feeling better today too.  So thankful.  

Bill worked out in the shed and I cleaned out the old files and filed the 2025 stuff.  Glad to have that job done.  I talked to Marie to see how she was doing.  She is doing ok and has a doctor appt. tomorrow.  

We had goulash for dinner.  In the evening we watched President Trump’s Address to Congress.  

Bill talked to his brother, Fred, and he was doing better after his back surgery.  Still in pain though.  

 

Monday, 3/3/25, Slept in until 9, read our Bibles, Bill’s brother’s surgery at 9 am.,Bill went to get water from Shays, I filled all the bird feeders, made goulash for dinner, Hailey has influenza A, and Rehvyn has a fever

So many more buds on my Christmas Cactus...it has been blossoming since Thanksgiving.  Could hardly b believe it when I saw all of these buds coming

 It sure felt good to sleep through the night with no wake ups.  I started reading my Bible and then when I was done went outside and filled all the bird feeders.  It was 28 degrees, but the wind made it feel much cooler.  I was happy to get back in the house and warm up. Melissa called and said Hailey got sick really fast on Sat. evening.  She had to go to the doctor today because she was supposed to take and exam and do her labs today.  I feel bad she had to drive herself to see the doctor feeling so bad.  She has Influenze A they said and wrote her an excuse for her missed class.   Poor sweet girl, she sure wanted to be healthy to take her exam and do her labs.   I found our Rehvyn had a 103 temp. last night and 101 this morning.  I am really praying for him too.  

Bill read his Bible, then we had pizza for lunch.  He went to pick up some water bottles from Shays. Bill’s brother Fred’s, surgery started at 9.  Lourdes gave us an update at 5:15 that they were putting the last vertebrae in and putting the rod in then closing him up.  It was taking longer Thant the doctor thought it would.  We sure are praying for him and so are many others. 

I made goulash for dinner.  Bill had two bowls and I had one.  We were hungry for goulash.

I looked at Costco’s sales and they are going to have the Premium protein shakes we like on sale for $6 off starting March 5.  We will be stocking up on those. 

I got a really sweet text from Cathy for Melissa and I saying she loved our visit.  She also said she can put the new watch band I got for her on by herself.  Yay!  She also said she loved Melissa’s cookies and was thankful she shared her ttestimony, because she said it never gets old.  She is such a sweet friend.

Bill’s brothers surgery took longer then the doctor thought.  It started at 9 a.m. and he didn’t get into recover until 9:13 p.m.  Lourdes was really good about texting us updates.  The last one came a few minutes ago and said they were doing a scan of his back and then sending him to his room on the 7th floor. The doctor said everything went well, she had to be meticulous, and she is happy with the outcome.  Great news!  Now prayers begin for a speedy recovery for this wonderful brother we love.

We went to prayer before church, then went into the service.  Vikki, Rehvyn, Peyton and Isaac were there already.  Rody was the photographer for Celebration Sunday.  Lots of babies dedicated, baptisms and 19 new members.  God is awesome!  We were happy to get our shirts that Thomas designed.  Over 80 ordered and more want them.   

After church we visited and had cookies in the foyer to celebrate all that happened today.  God is moving.  We came home for a little while.  We called Eli and wished him Happy Birthday and sang to him.  At 2 we met people from Faith Riders and Trinity Riders to pray.  We prayed for many things, our country, Israel, Ukraine, the military, families, churches, schools, government, CMA and the many CMA chapters, college kids, those with sicknesses, and many other things.  We had all been assigned different things to pray for.  It was very cold and windy, but we all know how important prayer is so we continued.  CMA chapters all over the US and world were praying today too.  

Some of us went to Timbers afterward.  It felt good to warm up.  The food was delicious and we had a great time visiting.  We came home afterwards.  We read our Bibles 

Saturday, 3/1/25, Happy 12th Birthday Kody! We love you! Went to Eli’s music festival, picked up a small treadmill, Very cold windy day!

We got ready, made our coffees, then went to the Music Festival that Eli’s band was playing in.  Kimmy and Jared were walking in right as we got in the parking lot.  They waited inside for us as it was super windy and cold out.  Wow!  Eli did great and so did all the others.  They sounded so amazing.  We are proud of you Eli.  When they went into the room where they were given a song they didn’t know, I was pretty impressed.  They got all 1’s in everything but sight reading which they got a 2 in, but the judge said he was surprised they gave them such a hard song.  It was nice getting to see him before he turns 15 tomorrow.   After we left there, we went to see Marie and Roy and take her a thermos pop top drink bottle like mine.  She was in more pain with her shoulder today and wasn’t real sure how to make sure her sling was on right.  We sure are praying for quick healing for her. We prayed for her when we were there.  After that we went and bought a Superfit treadmill Bill saw on FaceBook Marketplace.  He got a good deal on it and it is small enough to use in our living room.  

We called Kody on his phone and sang Happy Birthday to him and talked for a few minutes.  Then we told him we loved him and he told us that back.  He is always so sweet.  

We both read our Bibles and prayer devotions.  After that we both took a nice nap.

We have CMA’s National Day of prayer tomorrow and I am praying for Israel and the Ukraine and Bill is praying for the military.  

 

Friday, 2/28/25, Kimmy, Vikki, Melissa, Hailey, Peyton, and Isaac over, Travis came over and dropped Rehvyn off, fun day hanging out together, Bill and I watched a good movie in the evening

Made homemade rolls, got soup from Souper Cafe, (Chicken Noodle for Bill, Stuffed Pepper soup for Vikki, and Pot Pie Soup for Kimmy, Melissa, Hailey and I.  Peyton and Isaac wanted pizza and rolls.

I got up at 6:30 and added water and yeast to the bread makers, then started the dough cycle.  I went back to bed and got up at ten to 8.  I fed Kit Kat and gave her a treat and some attention.  Then I put good worship music on.  I got ready and shortly after Vikki, Peyton, Isaac, and Kimmy got here.   I was happily surprised to see the kids as I didn’t know they had the day off.  Yay!  We talked to Kenzie and she asked if Rehvyn could come spend the night at her house.  Kenzie had Travis bring him.  We enjoyed visiting with Travis for a while, then enjoyed having Rehvyn here.  I called Melissa to let her know what time we were going to eat and she came over just when it was just about ready.  She was so happy to see Peyton, Isaac and Rehvyn.  We all had fun hanging out. She called Hailey to let her know she should come to Nana’s.  She was just going to go home.  She sure was happy to hear Rehvyn was here.  I baked the rolls, then I put a pizza in the toaster oven and got the soup I had picked up at Souper Cafe out and warmed it.  I was going to make dough bread bowls, but everyone wanted rolls so that is what I did.  We had warm rolls just out of the oven and our soup.  We all were full when we finished eating. Peyton and Isaac wanted pizza.  When Hailey got here she gave Rehvyn some attention and then she ate too.  Then she had fun with Rehvyn again.  He is so cute, so smily and so smart.  Rehvyn took a nap after being swung in the blanket.  We all visited more, then Hailey had to leave.  It was such a fun day.  I had Jared’s present ready for Kimmy to take to him.  We were gone and I almost forgot to give it to him.  Happy I remembered.  It was so nice of Kimmy to take a video and take pictures.  

Bill and I watched a really good movie in the evening.  It got very windy and it sure was howling outside.
