3/6/17....Got up and walked the beach, Relaxed by the pool and read my book, went on a free bus trolley ride around the island

Went on my morning walk along the beach.  Walked at a good speed to get exercise.  Didn't find any shells today.  The ocean was beautiful!

Joel found a good place to relax by the pool

Do you see anything on the tree trunk?

Bill had just told Gayla that he can't sleep in the chairs outside.  Then I took this picture!

We went on an afternoon walk on the beach.  That's Wes, Joel and Bill ahead!

Went for a walk at 6:30 along the beach.  It was beautiful out and I was thanking God for his beautiful creation.  When I got back, Bill was up and had made the bed.  Gayla was making pancakes for breakfast.  We ate and had our devotion together.  Went out by the pool and spent some time in the sun, then moved to the shade to read my book.  Rick got here so we got our fresh towels, wash cloths, dishcloths, and towels.  Also got dish soap and TP from him so we are all stocked up.  Ate lunch and then Gayla and I walked to the store and got some groceries.  Came home and went on the trolly bus around the Island.  They had a special mechanism at the door to lower for Joel's wheelchair.  The bus driver was really cheerful and funny on the ride.  When we got home Gayla and I made spaghetti for dinner.  Played Phase 10.  Gayla won.  Watched some TV and then went to bed.

3/5/17...Went to church, Went to National CMA Prayer with Faith Riders here, watched the sunset and played a couple of card games

There were clouds, but the sunset was still beautiful

We went to church at Crosspoint Church on the Island.  It is non denominational and a lot like our church!  Love it there.  After church we came home and had lunch.  Left after that for Sarasota to meet up with Florida Faith Rider's.  We followed them to DeSoto Memorial Park and went to the cross to pray with them.  It was CMA's national day of prayer.  After we prayed, we went to one of the couple's house for pizza. We had a nice time there and they were all very nice.  We came back to our place and went next door to watch the sunset.  It was pretty even though it was cloudy out.  Bill and I went in the store and walked around.

3/4/17. Had an amazing breakfast at the hotel.  On the menu were eggs, omelets, fresh fruit, ham, sausage, oatmeal with toppings of peaches, walnuts, slivered almonds, fresh muffins, coffee cake, bagels,  After that we headed for our destination.  We found a Chic Fill A for lunch.  It was busy, but we got our food within 5 minutes of going in the door.  We had yummy chicken strips and criss cross fries.  Sure was good.  We got back and drove until we needed gas and saw a Dairy Queen and got a Blizzard.  Then we were on the last stretch when they made us get off I-75 because of a fatal accident.  Tried to go around and get on the next exit, but still couldn't.  Had to go way out of our way, but finally got back on.  We stopped at the Cracker Barrel and ate at the Bradenton Exit.  Then we just drove on the road by us to Anna Maria Island.  We were so happy to see the sign.  It was a beautiful drive to our Condo.  We unpacked and got settled in.  Bill and I went to the store right by us and got some groceries.  Watched some tv and went to bed.

3/3/17...Drove to Valdosta, GA and stayed there.

Traveling through Kentucky following Wes and Gayla
Love seeing these crosses along the road

Love the palm trees
We got up, ate at the restaurant, then left.  We stopped at a Chic Fil A for lunch and had chicken strips.  They were delicious.  It was really busy there, but we got our food within 5 minutes.  We stopped a little later for a Blizzard.  We arrived in Valdosta at about 6:30.  Wes and Gayla had said we would go to our motel room first, but ended up surprising me and going right to the Smokin Pig.  So sweet of them.We ate and were stuffed afterward.  Brought lots of meat home in to go boxes.
Got to the motel and they had given away the handicap room Wes had reserved.  A little upsetting at first, but we prayed God would work it out for good and they ended up getting an even better handicap room.  I facetimed Vikki to show Peyton our motel.  She had facetimed me earlier.  Peyton was already in bed.  Showed Vikki the nice Palm trees and the hotel.

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Eli

Wes, Gayla and Joel at Bob Evans in Maumee, Ohio

Wes and Joel

We left to meet Wes , Gayla and Joel At Tim Horton's at 7 this morning.  Drove to Maume, Ohio and stopped at Bob Evans for breakfast.  Drove 422 miles and stopped for gas.  It was $2.19 a gallon there and filled our car for $21.75.  Got 46 mpg.  Gayla and I drove from there to give the guys a rest.  Nice and hilly.  Got 49 mpg on the way here.  We checked into our hotel in London, KY. The Microtel, and then took the cars through the car wash.  They were covered with salt from the roads so now are nice and clean.
We ate at an Italian restaurant called Dino's.  Our waiter spoke Italian very fluently and broken English.  He was very nice and the food was great.  Went back to the hotel and played 3-13.  I was the winner and Gayla was the big loser.  We had lots of fun.  It was 50 degrees and sunny when we got here!

Happy Birthday to sweet Kody who turns 4 today.  What a sweetie he is.  He was really excited to talk to me on the phone and kept asking if I was going to come over.  I went and walked 2 miles at Sportszone and then came home to finish packing.  Vikki stopped over for a few minutes after Peyton's dentist appointment.  Peyton was sure happy and all smiles.  I gave her a snack to take home and one for Isaac.  She took Mocha for me which was so nice of her.  Bill had her meet him at Tim Horton's after she dropped Peyton off at school.  Sue called and wanted us to come for chili, but I had class today so I couldn't.  Bill went though and brought me a bowl home.  We had a potluck for the teachers at kid's care groups.  Pat, Rich, Stacie, Brian, Alex, Chris, Tina, Matthew, and Joan were there.  I took a meatloaf.  Little Ansel kept smiling at me, so I tried to have him come to me from his mom.  No Way....he was a mommy's boy.  Then Brian took him and came up to me thinking maybe he would come to me easier from him.  No way again....he was a daddy's boy.  He is such a cutie.  They are flying to Arizona and grandma Joan is watching him for 4 days.  He was so excited when Joan came in the room.  Came home and we loaded the car.  All set except the last minute stuff.
