Sat. 11/6/21, Went to Sandusky, Went to movie in Bay City, Went for ice cream with Bill and Sabrina

Yay, they have the rail trail by us all paved now.  Just are working the dirt around it now, then it should be open
Adam sent me a picture of him and his coach (Mr. Scott). He's his youth pastor too!

Adam's Soccer Award

Evan wanted Melissa to send me these pictures
So cute of Evan and the turkey.  It makes the regular sized pumpkin look tiny
Waiting to see what color this tree will be...doesn't look like it's turning yellow like usual

Got up at 5:30 and got ready, made our coffee and left for Sandusky.  Went to the Chapter Meeting there.  This chapter is doing great, growing and doing much work for the Lord.  We went to Bay City from there.   We met Wes and Gayla and saw the movie "Sunshine Circle".  It was a movie about a worker we know at the Rescue Mission.  It was a very touching movie about when she was 5 years old until she was in school. At the end, it told about her life as and adult til now.  She was there afterwards, and introduced people who were in the movie as they were all local people.  We saw Nancy Loux from Church there, and a few from Trinity Riders.  Wes and Gayla had friends from Pittsburg with them.  After that, we came home and I updated the CMA Web page for Faith Riders.  We went to Mooneys and had ice cream with Bill and Sabrina and visited with them quite a while.  We were the only ones in the ice cream shop for quite a while.  A few people here and there would come in, but not many.  Guess they think it's too cold for ice cream.  Not us!  Texted with Adam, talked a couple of times with Melissa and talked with Vikki,

Friday, 11/5/21, Vikki and Kimmy came over, Picked Peyton and Isaac up from school, Made Vikki's homemade pizzas, shopped for Operation Christmas Shoe boxes

Haven't fed the birds for a while.  I was so happy to see a cardinal on the feeder out on the tree.
Jack holding Zoey, Evan and their huge turkey!  Max wanted to put the turkey feathers and head in the biggest pumpkin, so he didn't carve it.
Vikki brought all the stuff to make individual pizzas.  It was so much fun and the pizzas were delicious.  Thanks Vikki
Bill enjoying his round steak, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Eli, Jacob and Adam...I love how close these boys are and how much fun they have together.  I borrowed this picture from Kimmy's blog even though it's a little blurry.  It's one of my favorite pictures!!!

Bill had to leave at 8 to go to his therapy appointment at the VA.  Then he went to pick up Charlie and take him to his appointment in Ann Arbor.  Vikki had the day off, so came over at around 8.  Bill had just left.  Kimmy came around 8:15.  We had our coffee and visited.  At 10:45, we picked Peyton and Isaac up from school in Kimmy's van.  We came back and made homemade individual pizzas.  Vikki brought all the stuff for them.  We each fixed our own and then baked them.  She brought onions, green peppers, olives, bacon, turkey pepperoni, parmesian cheese and pizza cheese for on them.  I had sauce here and had some ground chuck cooked up.  They tasted so delicious and were sure filling.  Thanks again, Vikki.  They had to leave earlier than usual, so I went to shop for stuff to put in Operation Christmas shoe boxes.  I should have taken Peyton and Isaac with me, but didn't know I was going.  I will see if they want to come wrap the shoe boxes and fill them with me.  They've always loved helping with them.   I stopped at Melissa's while I was out.  Her big pumpkin turkey looks amazing.  It's the first thing I noticed when I pulled in the driveway.  Jack and Evan came out, so I took pictures of them by it.  When I got home Bill was mowing the lawn.  It's dryer now, so he was able to cut more of the back.  Still some wet spots.  When he got done, he told me they drained 1/2 gallon of fluid off of Charlie's one lung.  He has to go back Monday and have the fluid drained off the other lung.  They think they will get the same about off that one.  Charlie felt better already, just with the one being done.  I was very happy to hear the good report about Lela in a text from Kimmy.  Then I read her blog right away and was happy again.  Such a great report that it's not cancer, just pre cancerous.  So wonderful that they caught it early.  I am praising and thanking God.

Thurs., 11/4/21, Moved winter clothes downstairs and summer clothes upstairs, did laundry, made round steak, took care of bird feeders

Cold day today and sky looks dark. A few peaks of sunshine today, but not many
Our big Maple tree today

Our big Maple tree a year ago on Nov. 5th.  It has 1more day to catch up.

Our other Maple tree on the other side of the house is almost bare

Bill had to go help a guy in Chesaning do the training to become a CMA member.  Then he had to pick up Charlie and take him to his appointment in Ann Arbor.  I moved my clothes...summer ones went upstairs, winter ones came down.  Did a few loads of laundry too.  Browned some round steak and put it in the crockpot.  It smelled good in the house all day!!!  I cleaned out bird feeders.  It has rained so much, all the finch food was wet and caked in the bottom of the big feeder.  I got it all cleaned out, dryer, filled, and hung back in the tree.  I talked to Sue a couple of times.  Also talked to Melissa a couple of times.  Ate breakfast and had my coffee late this morning, then did my reading.  Got our Compassion girl's Christmas money mailed and a letter wrote to her.  Also wrote our Feed the Hungry boy.  They are such precious and sweet kids.  I love their letters they sent us.  Praying lots for our girl because she is in an area where there is lots of violence right now.  Compassion isn't even able to go in where she's at right now.  The round steak, gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious.  I talked to my best friend, Vikki, for a long time in the evening.  We had such a good talk.  Bill and I watched part 2 of L.A. Joiner's seminar he did at our church.  It was so very good!  Always stay in the Word of God and have that as our plumb line.  Amen.  When churches stray from the Word or try to change what it says, they get deceived.  Very thankful for our pastor who preaches from the Word of God and isn't afraid to preach the truth of the Word.  There has to be a standard and God's Word is it!!!

Wed., 11/3/21, Missing my dad today....He went to be with Jesus 12 years ago....Happy Birthday to Travis

Another no picture post.  Peyton and Isaac were here for a little while too and I totally forgot to take a picture.  I walked 2 miles on the treadmill while listening to great worship music.  I noticed some cleaning needed to be done in the basement, so I got the vacuum out and started vacuuming some cobwebs.  Not my favorite job, but it needed to be done.  I had my yummy oatmeal and a mug of Starbuck's coffee.   I sure am missing my dad today and always.  He was the best dad ever!  He made such a difference in my life with his kind heart and loving ways.  I sure was blessed to get him when I was 15.  I couldn't have ordered a better or more loving dad. Thankful I will see him again!

I did my morning reading and praying.  Bill and I talked to Travis and wished him Happy Birthday.  Talked to Mykenzie for a while too.  Moved summer clothes upstairs and winter clothes downstairs.  Worked on my lesson for Bible Study tonight.  I am all caught up now from being gone to Arkansas.  These lessons are long, but very good.  Bill went to pick up fencing for Kenzie and Travis at Omi's.  Made turkey breast and mashed potatoes for dinner.  Went to my class at church.  Donya's birthday is Friday, so she brought delicious chocolate cupcakes for us to have at class.  The class was so good.  Came home and worked on my blog, then relaxed and watched Part 2 of L. A Joiner's seminar at our church last weekend while we were gone.  Sooooo good!

Tues., 11/2/21, Kimmy, Vikki and the twins came over, went to prayer

Peyton and her American girl doll.  She loves to braid it's hair.  She is drawing an amazing picture on the boogie board
Isaac...He is such a techie kid.  He always shows me things on my phone that make it easier for me to use and things I should know
Isaac and Peyton playing 3-13 with Kimmy, Vikki and I.  Kimmy was the winner, even though she started out being the loser...It's not over until it's over!!!

Bill had to go to the VA for therapy on his neck.  He met Charlie afterwards for coffee.  I made egg salad in the morning, and also cooked a squash.  I need to be cooking up all the squash I got out of the garden now, so will do a couple each day.  It sure tasted yummy. even though Vikki and I are the only ones who eat it.  The girls got here and we had a great day hanging out.  Vikki taught Kimmy how to scan receipts for rewards.  They both have new phones and are very happy with them.  We sat in by the fire where it was nice and warm.  It was a cool windy day and the high temperature was 43.  It was in the 30's all morning though.  We had egg salad sandwiches for lunch, and Vikki and I ate our squash.  We played a game of 3-13 which took a while with all our talking.  I started out right, by going out first, but it was all downhill after that.  They weren't giving me any wild cards.  Had a nice talk with Melissa and face timed with her and Evan.  He showed me the golf putter he made and demonstrated it.  He's so cute!  I went to intercessory prayer at church in the evening.  Amazing time of prayer and praise!

Monday, 11/1/21, No pictures today, Busy with outside stuff, Trinity Riders Meeting in the evening

I didn't go to bed until 2 a.m., so I slept in until 8:15.  I walked 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill, then walked another 1/2 mile around the walking area of the basement.  Came upstairs, and Bill was up and had the bed made.  I made our coffee and oatmeal.  We did our morning reading.  He had to go for his Covid booster shot at the VA.  I read up on winterizing the camper and also on the temperature sensor on the kernel burner, since I needed to call them about it.  Bill got home and we worked on winterizing the camper.  I had him look at what I read in the book.  He didn't go step by step according to directions, so we couldn't quite get the hose to syphon the antifreeze. We left everything like it was, and he left to go to the VA to pick up his two new pair of shoes.  I made a nacho for me.  I kept trying to call the Kernel Burner, but it would ring once and than make an awful noise.  Bill got home, and his shoes are sure nice.  We went out and finished the camper and it went smoothly with a little adjustment on his end.  I was inside turning the pump on and faucets on.  Nice to have that done where it is getting cold out.  I put my 3 small hoses away, and he put the big hose away for the winter.  I also put some tables and chairs in the garage for the winter.  I talked to Melissa and found out Hailey is going to be in the Boar's Head this year.  She wanted to know if I wanted to go.  I sure do!  Wes and Gayla picked us up at 5:30 and we went to Trinity Riders meeting.  Texted with Adam of course.

Went to church. Bill went back with the Elders to pray for pastor before service.  I went to prayer for 15 minutes, then went to help in Children's church.  Came home and ate some of Kimmy's kind of chili for lunch.  We had to  test it to make sure it was safe to eat lol.  Read and then took a short nap.  Went for a walk around the yard with my muck boots on since it finally stopped raining and was sunny.  Thankful those boots kept my feet dry, because the ground is so wet. Bill was working on draining the water out of the hot water heater and pipes in the camper so we can winterize it.  We went to Bruce and Melissa's at 4:30.  It started raining (it hasn't been in the forecast for a week) but it started just before we got there.  It was a light rain at least.  We waited a half hour for it to stop, then set up our chairs.  Kimmy and her family, Vikki and her family, Tasha and her family and Bill and I were there.  Bruce's chili was yummy and he had all the toppings for it too.  Kimmy said her chili was yummy too.  Tasha brought delicious pumpkin cake.  They had a fire in the fire pit, so we all sat around it and ate.  It was so much fun.  The kids had fun hanging out together.  I passed around a bowl of big sized candy bars for the kids to pick one from.  Next year, I am going to remember to bring enough for the adults, because I heard a few comments about wanting big candy bars.  The kids all put on their costumes to go trick or treating.  Melissa and Vikki sat outside and passed out candy to kids that came.  Bill and I left and went to Menards to pick up RV antifreeze.  It started sprinkling again.  When we got home, we attempted to put the anti freeze in the camper pipes, but it didn't work, so Bill has to read up on it.  I asked him before hand if he had and he said no.  I brought in the camper manuals, so he can study up on it.  We will try again tomorrow.  Cold weather is coming this week....27 degrees on Thurs. for a low.
