Charlie, Vikki and Sue
| Adam and Jacob moving our furniture to make room for our tree |
Got up at 5 after going to bed at midnight. Got the stuffing made, and the turkey in the oven. Put the ham in the crockpot, baked the cheesy potatoes and the mashed potatoes and put them in the Nesco oven to keep warm. Then cooked the corn and the squash. Kimmy brought yummy rolls and delicious apple pie. Rody got here and went with Bill to get wood pellets. Jacob, Adam and Bill had them unloaded in record time (5 minutes.) Vikki brought a yummy jello with fruit, and Stacie brought yummy pumpkin bread. We hung out for a while and then when the turkey was done, DJ got it out and bill carved it. DJ got the stuffing out of the turkey and helped me make the gravy. He was a blessing helping with so much. The girls put all the food on the table. We prayed and gave thanks to the Lord, then we ate. We were stuffed, so waited for dessert until later. The girls cleaned up the whole kitchen and put all the food away. They are the best helpers ever! They do this every year for me and want me to sit and visit which is hard for me to do. I like to be helping them. Thank you so much girls!!! Sue, Charlie, Jared and Bill played Euchre. Sue and Charlie won. After they were finished, we had pie and ice cream. The younger kids played in the basement and roller bladed. The older kids hung out and joked around with each other. Jacob and Adam are good at teasing Hailey, but she can dish it out too, and she can hold her own. We face timed with Melissa. Sure do miss having them here and thought about them lots. Kenzie made papers with names on the, so the kids all drew for Christmas. Kenzie and Travis, and Stacie, DJ, and Kody had to leave after that. Jacob, Adam, Vikki and Kimmy started moving the couch and love seat around. We noticed a spill by where Bill sits, so I shampooed it and it all cleaned up nicely. Kimmy emptied the shampoo dirty water container, then unplugged it and wound up the cord. Jared, Vikki, Kimmy and I played 3-13, while we put a fan on the wet floor. It was a very good game. I'm just saying!!! After we were done, the boys finished moving the furniture around so the tree would fit, then they brought the tree up for Bill. Kimmy, Jared, Vikki and I worked on emptying the dishwasher, doing some dishes, putting things away, and packing food for Kimmy and family to take home. They sure all were amazing helpers and were such blessings to us. They left, then let me know when they were all safely home. It was a very fun day. I am so thankful for family and all of God's many wonderful Blessings, especially the gift of Jesus and His gift of salvation. |
