Bill and Max saw this truck on fire by the Frankenmuth Birch Run exit on I 75 on their way home. Yikes! I’m glad no one was killed or injured.
I got up early so I could get to Boehler’s at 8:15 a.m. and pick up something to take to Debbie. Bill and I stopped yesterday at Bequick’s Nursery, but didn’t see anything I wanted for her. I had seen some things I liked at Boehler’s, so knew I wanted to get her something fro there. I found a pretty heart with blue in it. I knew she would like it. I also found a solar light up glass flower mushroom for her. I left and went to her house after that. When I got there, no one answered, so since the garage door was opened and house wasn’t locked I walked in and hollered to see if anyone was downstairs. Tom and Matthew were and Shiraz came to greet me. We visited for a few minutes, then Debbie came downstairs. She liked her gifts. She showed me the remodeling work they have had done downstairs and in the jacuzzi room. It looks very nice. They had the upstairs redone too.
We went to B Dubs and had a delicious breakfast and a wonderful time visiting. I am so happy she is looking good and doing well. We went to Zhender’s afterward and I got Tom, Matthew, Debbie, Bill and I some cookies. They are so yummy. We went to Bronner’s after that and Debbie ordered an anniversary ornament for Peggy and her husband. He is ill with stomach cancer and is home on hospice. Their 40th is coming up in June, so her Peggy wanted an ornament. Her husband is another one we are praying for.
We went to the other end of Bronner’s, and Debbie had someone she knew come take our picture in the Christmas Wreath. She was super nice and was happy to do it for us. Afterwards, we drove by Bavarian Inn Lodge to see how they are coming on the 8 Million Dollar Waterpark they are adding. There were other new buildings going up in town she showed me too. Then we went back to her house and she showed me the upstairs remodeling job. It looks so nice. I visited with Matthew for a little while. He loved his cookies and was so happy I got them for him. Then he showed me his new Bible. It is a big one like Bill and I have. He ordered a case for it which was really nice. I am going to order Bill and I each one because it would make it much easier to carry them when we go camping. Some friends from Matthew’s church put markers on his pages for the books of the Bible. He loves reading his Bible. He has been sending his mom a verse a day to help her through all she’s been going through. I am so proud of him. I left and came home. As I got closer, it was getting really dark out. I was going to call Bill to put the cushions from the swings away, but thought I was too late anyhow. I got home just in time to put them in the in the outside deck storage box. Bill was still gone with Max. He called and they were in Davison. It just sprinkled there. We got a downpour and some thunder. Nothing severe though. Good for my plants and good for me because I won’t have to water for a while.
I grilled sliced potatoes and steak on the grill. Made string beans to go with it. I put Maple Grill Barbecue sauce on my steak. Bill likes his plain. Everything tasted yummy. I talked to Melissa while I ate, then Vikki called, so I hung up, then Kimmy called so I hung up, then Mykenzie called. Kimmy and Jared were putting two swings together so they are ready when their gazebo comes. They are going to love being able to sit under it and be comfy and also in the shade. I’m so happy for them, because I know how much I love sitting under ours. Jacob’s first day of work was today. He worked hard and liked it, but was tired and went to sleep when he got home. He worked where Hailey is working, so that was nice.
Bill took the garbage out to the road and covered the grill for me. I put the 3 cushions I got out away because it stormed again. Lots of loud thunder. No high winds though.
