I left to go home at 9.  I did some laundry, showered fed birds and got ready and left for my doctor’s appointment.  The other day my maps said it was an hour away so I planned on that and today when I set the map to go it said 1 hr. 20 minutes.  I had just enough time to make it to the building by 1:45 my appointment time.I prayed for God to help m make it on time.  I got down by Flint and the GOS had me get off on the Mt. Morris exit.  It was a detour around construction on the expressway.  Lots of traffic moving very slow in the country.  We were able to get back on at Pierson Rd.  Now my GOS was saying I would get there later.  I had to go 78 mph and made it to the parking lot with two minutes to spare.  God answered my prayer and got me to the right entrance and  gave me a close parking spot.  I got checked in right on time and had pre registered I only had to wait two minutes before they called me back.  The nurse took my blood pressure and the top number was normal but in the high end.  I had told her about my stressful trip and she said anxiety causes the top number to go up
I had 4 x-rays of my hand.  I saw an intern and then the doctor came in after that.  They both were super nice.  He gave me a couple options and then we decided on surgery.  The date has to be set yet.  His nurse said he has had a high success rate with this kind of hand surgery and he’s who she would want if she had it done.  My ride home was much more relaxing and no detour, so went much faster.  I stopped at Cracker Barrel for a homestyle chicken dinner.  Yum! Then I stopped at Vikki’s to get a shepherds hook from her front yard.  Next I returned a sleeping bag Vikki had gotten with a bad zipper and got a different one.  Then I headed back up north.  I got there in time to spend some time with Kimmy Adam and Eli.  Kimmy had to take Adam to practice so they left. Eli spent the night with us and played games, sang Christian songs and then slept out in Vikki’s pop up tent.  We told him the door would be unlocked if he wanted to come in and sleep, but he assured us he didn’t.  We picked up a Hot and Ready pizza for dinner.  It was so good!
