Went to church. Taught Sunday School today and had 12 kids.  Lesson was on, if you see a need, don't wait for someone else, help whenever you can.  Good lesson.  After church, Bill had to work the collection for the Marine Corp League and I went to have Chili at Vikki and Rody's.  It was delicious.  I sure was happy to be able to spend time with Peyton and Isaac too. Haven't seen them much since they started school.  They sure are cute and were so well behaved and sweet while I was there.  I came home and took a nap.  After Bill got home, Vikki came over and helped us count the collection money.  She always helps us.  I pulled some plant sprouts that were coming up where I didn't want them outside, and then Bill and I watched a movie.

Got up early to make a double batch of cheesy potatoes for Matt's Benefit Dinner.  Called Melissa and she said she was at Evan and Jack's soccer game.  If she would have let me know I could have made my potatoes later and made it to at least one of the games.  I ran the potatoes to Melissa's and kept them in my roaster oven to keep them warm.  I left my car there and Misty and Vikki gave me a ride back to my house.  That way I was able to go on the motorcycle ride and then Bill could drop me off to get my car and the food before we went to the Benefit dinner.  Misty came in and looked at our bathroom. When Bill got home from the Marine Corp Collection at Walmart, we left to go on our motorcycle ride.  We went to Jeff and Julie's church for their fun day.  It was only a couple of houses away from where Bill and I met each other in his mom's driveway.  Bill went around telling everyone that which was cute.  We had a nice time and ate a hotdog while we were there.  After that, we went to Melissa's so I could get my car and the food.  I took a blueberry pie I made last night and set it on the bake sale table.  In a minute it was gone.  I didn't see who bought it, but it sure went fast.  We ate and hung out with lots of friends.  Matt was doing great and talked to me about how he always sees Melissa and I when we go to therapy and how great all the therapist are there.  Then he told me how he did the lokomat for 45 minutes and how sore he was the next day.
I am so happy with how well he is recovering from his motorcycle accident.  What a miracle he is too!  We got home and Bill had to go pick up the stuff from the Marine Corp League.  He asked me to go with him but when we walked to the truck he remembered he had to give a guy that goes to our church a ride home and his backseat of the truck would be full.  When he got home, we went to Pat and Rich's house for her birthday.  Bill got mixed up and the cake and ice cream is actually tomorrow night that we were supposed to be at.  We had a nice visit though. are home and watched a movie on the Hallmark Channel.

They installed our vanity top and sink today. Went shopping and picked up towels and bathmats, Went to Olive Garden with Alyssa and Doug Szczepanski and their kiddos.

Yay, they started installing the counter top

It looks very nice

We were excited that the countertops were going to be put in at 8:30 a.m..  Took my first shower in the new shower.  It was so nice.  We waited but they didn't get here until after 9.  Love the countertop and sink.  It has to sit and be clamped for 24 hours before the plumbing can be hooked up and we can use it.  I went to K-Mart in Midland because I had coupons.  I found bath mat and some other things for the bathrooms.  Went to Bed Bath and Beyond in Midland after that.  I was so sad when I saw the sign saying the store was closing.  There was 10% off everything.  I picked up some quick dry towels, a soap dispenser, kleenex dispenser and bath brush for the shower.   Bill though the dark grey bath mat and toilet mat looked blue.  I went to Bed Bath and Beyond in Saginaw and used my two $10 off coupons on what I had bought in Midland.  Returned the bathmats but couldn't find any I liked.  Returned a couple of decorative towels I had bought too.  Went to Penney's and found a bathmat and some decorative towels I liked.  Bill liked them too and so did the girls when I showed them a video.
Bill and I went out for dinner with Alyssa, Doug, Lucy, Micah and Elijah.  The kids were cute.  We had a very nice time and a great visit.  Came home and watched the news and went to bed.

8/13/18..Took Melissa to therapy at 11, Went to Kroger and Aldi, Waited for guys to bring counter top for vanity, Went to Faith Rider's Chapter Meeting

Slept in this morning until 8 a.m.  It felt so good!  Did some laundry, cleaned the fans because they were so dirty and dusty,  Bill met Rich at Tim Hortons, and I took Melissa to therapy at 11.  I didn't stay because she has it for 2 hours.  The therapist are filling out the form for Melissa to go to Horse Therapy.  That always has helped her so much and Tina said she would work her in somehow.  Melissa did much better coming down the steps on her porch with her walker.  Her balance is getting better all the time.  She was walking good in therapy when I got there too.  We saw Matt Warsin when we got there.  Came home and was excited about our sink and countertop being put in.  They weren't her by 3, so I called and they said it hadn't left Detroit yet.  Now they are bringing it at 8:30 tomorrow morning instead.  Bill and I rode the motorcycle  to our Faith Rider's Meeting.  Great turn out and great meeting. Bill did a good job leading it!   Good message given by Luis.  Vicki and Kevin Beemer were there and are joining CMA.  Yay, we have been trying to get them to join.  So happy!
Watched the news and went to bed.

9/12/18....My dad would have been 102 years old today! I sure do miss him. Melissa came to visit, went through all the stuff from the bathroom and utility room stored in boxes, Bill and I got some pictures hung in the bathroom, Went to Menards, Michaels, the Home Store, and Hobby Lobby with Bill. Went to eat at Culver's, Cleaned with Vikki,

Bill and I got one pictures and towel racks hung.  Put stuff in the cabinet over the toilet.
Making progress on getting organized again.
We slept in until 8.  Bill went to the SportsZone.  I worked on going through stuff and getting the cabinet in the bathroom filled.  Put things that will go in my cabinet Rick is making in tubs until he brings it on Friday.  I went and helped Melissa do a few things around the house and then brought her to my house so we could hang out.  We had coffee and Molasses cookies from the Mennonite Store.
We went and sat on the swing glider outside on the back deck.  Had a nice relaxing visit.  Talked to Sue on speaker phone too.  Took Melissa home.  Bruce's Aunt Terry is coming to visit them today.
I cleaned and organized more when I got home.   Bill had a little boo boo on the bathroom wall when he was hanging the toilet paper holder from his sister Angie.  Put a few big holes in the dry wall.  We went to Menard's and then went to get Jack to take him to Hailey's volleyball game.  We got to their house and Bruce came out and said there wasn't going to be a game because the other team had a mix up somehow.  We went to Michaels, The Home Store, and Hobby Lobby to get what we needed to fix it up.  Praying our idea works.  We went to Culver's and had a burger, noodle soup (Bill had chili) and a concrete mixer.  Fun date!  We came home and Vikki came over to bring the Faith Rider's Banner for Bill.  She also came to help me clean the family room.  So nice to have that done and be able to sit and relax in there now, and have the grandkids over and have them have a place to hang out.  Vikki did a great job cleaning and is fast at it too.  Melissa called us while we were working and we talked to her and Hailey.  When I FaceTimed Melissa to show her how nice the family room looks now, Jack got on with her and said that couldn't be my house because it was too clean.  What a funny boy he is. It has been messy and dusty for 10 weeks now though so I know why he said it.

9/11/18...Went to breakfast, stopped at Melissa's, Stopped at Aldi's, Home for a while, Took Melissa for her O T Evaluation and to PT to go on the lokomat, Vikki ca me and helped me clean rand wipe things down good

We got everything washed in the utility room, moved the small cabinet next to the sink,  and then Bill put this clothes hamper together for me. It has an ironing board on top.

Went to breakfast at Sullivans.  There were only eight  of us there.  We tried to call Louise, but she didn't answer.  Sad thinking about 9/11.  Prayed for all those affected and for our  nation.  I forgot to take the prayer notebook in, so we just went around the table and everyone prayed for what was on their hearts.  Went to Melissa's afterward.  I was there and she was getting ready and noticed her wedding ring had come off.  I prayed and then started hunting and so did she.  I was upstairs and she was pretty sure she lost it up there.  I couldn't find it, so she climbed up the steps without me by her (shame on her) and she started looking and didn't find her ring either.  I went back downstairs and asked her if she had gotten anything out of her clothes hamper.  She said a couple of things, so I looked and there was her ring.  We sure were thanking the Lord.  She finished getting ready and we went to therapy.  We saw our friend, Matt, when we were going in the door and talked to him for a few minutes.  She had her OT evaluation and while we were sitting in their office it hit me that I left my car in the ambulance drive.  I told them and then headed out to move it.  There was no-one waiting in the drive so I sure was happy about that.  The girl said others have done the same thing.  Don't think I will do that ever again.  We went to the therapy room and Mary and Shawalee sure were happy to see her.  Two outpatient PT's put her on the Lokomat.  They put her straps on her while she was hanging there.  They were pretty fast.  They did have to keep adjusting things to get her to make the right movements when she was walking on it.  They were very nice, but not near as funny as her in patient therapists.  Shawalee  came to check on her a couple of times and was always looking over to see how she was doing when he was working with his patients.   They had her go slower so she could use the right muscles.  Shawalee came and told them she did it for an hour last time and went fast.  They didn't like that idea so much though.  He bragged about how good Melissa was doing because of that machine though.  Took Melissa home and Evan came running to give her a hug in the driveway.  I came home and Bill and I left to go to Menards to get a few things for the bathroom.  Vikki was at our house when we got home cleaning for me.  She is such a great cleaner and I am so glad she helped me.  It sure was a big job getting all that power cleaned up.  She sure is a hard worker and did a great job.  Lots faster than I am too.  Bill put a hamper together that I got at Aldi's.  It fits nice and I like that it has an ironing board on top.  Vikki and I moved the cabinet next to the sink so the hamper would fit.

9/10/18...Took Melissa to her PT Eval., Brought her to my house for a while, Took lunch to her house and ate,, Went to Aldi's, Made a Roast, carrots and potatoes and took it to Marie and Roy, The workers finished the bathroom...We have a working toilet YAY. Cleaned the dining room

Yay, the toilet is in and working

Hi to whoever wrote this nice message in my dust.  Am I ever glad the workers are done and I can clean the house now.
Took Melissa to her PT Evaluation at 8:45.  She had a nice therapist named Lauren and she did a great job evaluating Melissa and was very positive.  We came to my house afterwards.  We didn't stay too long because the toilet wasn't hooked up yet and I didn't want Melissa trying to go up my steps with the curve and only one rail.  I took my take home extra meal from Olive Garden and we ate at Melissa.  It was Chicken Fettucini and broccoli.  It was delicious.  I also took some homemade Mennonite wheat bread and molasses cookies.  i unloaded the dishwasher for her and then loaded it.  Then she was going to rest and I headed home.  I thought Vikki would probably stop in to see her when she got out of work.  I was right, but because my car wasn't there Vikki didn't stop.  She though Melissa had to have someone there all the time so she thought we were at therapy.  The workers finished the bathroom.  Yay.  They do have to come Friday or Saturday and put the cabinet Rick build in.  Also have to fix up between the bedroom and bathroom where the carpet and flooring meet.   Nice to be able to start cleaning and know it will not be covered in powdery dust tomorrow.  I took the roast to Marie and Roy and visited for a few minutes.  She was feeling much better today.  I was very happy about that.  Nice to get home and be able to put the car in the garage.  9 weeks I have been parking outside. Bill started hanging the light in the utility room.  The old one wasn't working right anymore.  I did some laundry and we watched a movie on Hallmark
