We ate our oatmeal for breakfast and then Bill went to collect money for the Marine Corp League and I finished shampooing the carpet on the stairs.  I got ready and went and picked Max up for his appointment in Cass City.  We picked up Vikki and Peyton on our way.  Stopped at Tim Horton's and Vikki treated me to a French Vanilla Ice Capp.  I signed Max into his appointment and then Vikki, Peyton and I went to eat at Nick's Country Oven.  She had a Texas burger and onion rings which she said was the best burger she's ever had and I had the Turkey Slim Jim and Fries.  Peyton had breakfast.  We went to the Mennonite Store after that.  On our way, we saw a mennonite farmer with his horse, working in the field.  Peyton thought that's pretty cool to see.  We got to the store and it's always fun to walk through the store.  We both found a great round steak.  Happy I had a stay cold bag from Aldi's and an ice pack.
I got a few other things too and we each got a plastic little dish scraper.  Peyton got tic tags and one to take to Isaac.  Went and hung out at the park by where Max's appointment was after that.  We hung our hammocks up and relaxed while we watched Peyton play.  She came and got in Vikki's with her after she was done playing.   We had an hour before we had to go pick up Max.  After we picked him up, we went to Good Will in Caro.  We had fun looking, but didn't find anything.  Max tried on a banana costume.  Peyton tried on angel wings.

9/21/18...They got the cabinet in the bathroom, Took Melissa to therapy, Went to dinner at Bob Evans with Rich and Pat and then to a movie

So happy our cabinet is in and the bathroom is finished!

John was very happy when I went to visit him today.  Family was coming to take him to the Olive Garden.  He was sweet and invited me to go too, but I couldn't

This morning when the workers got here at 7:30, I was prepared and ready.  They filed on the cabinet.  Rick yelled, Oh no Penny, you better come her quickly.  I hurried thinking something awful had happened.  When I got in the bathroom, they said, It's all in and showed me that the cabinet was in.  They got a good laugh.  It looks beautiful and sure holds lots of stuff.    I made Bill his oatmeal and then made mine.  I was carrying it into the dining room, and I dropped the bowl.  It went flying and there was oatmeal, raisins and nuts all over the table, all over the chair and on the carpet I had just shampooed yesterday.  It was almost as bad as Bill's chili spill on the carpet.  I scraped it up with a putty scraper, then wiped everything down and shampooed the carpet in that spot again. I used my spin mop and scrubbed the kitchen and utility room floors.   I ended up skipping breakfast and making lunch after all that.  Then I went to Melissa's to take her to therapy.  Did a few things at her house for her and then we left.  I went to Menard's, The $ Store and Walmart while she was at therapy.  Went to see John at the rehab too.  Had a nice visit and took him for a walk around the rehab.  Sure is a big place.  Came home for about 10 minutes.  Put chairs, etc. back in place since the floors were dry.  Picked Melissa up and took her home.  Came home and started shampooing the steps so I could get whatever was tracked up the steps out.  Got half way done and had to quit so we could go meet Rich and Pat at Bob Evans.  Ate and then came home for a little while because we had time before the movie started and they wanted to see our bathroom.  We went and saw Unbroken, Path of Redemption.  It was a true story and was very good.

j9/20/18...The workers surprised us and came at 7:30 this morning. Went to pick up Melissa to spend time together, Shampooed carpets, Went to help residents Community Village play Bingo

The first time I used the bowl holder was this morning and it worked great.  How easy to get it out of the microwave

Yay, I shampooed the living room carpet and our bedroom carpet.  Sure is nice to have all that powdery dust from them working out of the carpet.  It cleaned up so nice

Couldn't sit outside while Melissa was here because it was raining, but it  sure was nice later in the afternoon.  Love sitting outside!

Siting under our pergola

Bill calling the Bingo numbers.  I purposely didn't take pictures of the residents.  There were quite a few there, but not as many as usual.  I guess word has to get out again

I got up before my alarm went off.  I shut the bathroom door to our bedroom so the light wouldn't get in Bill's eyes.  I just washed my hair, had my pj's on and I heard a knock at the back door.  I looked out and saw the workers, Rick and his brother.  Couldn't believe they were here that early without calling.  I unlocked the door (they were by the garage door by then so I unlocked the porch door, and headed upstairs quickly so they wouldn't see me.  Rick kept talking to me.  Good thing I had clothes upstairs to change into.  Then he wanted me to come out to the garage to show him where I wanted the knob to go on the cabinet.  I told him I had to rinse the cream rinse out of my hair first.  I wrapped a towel on my head and went out.  They couldn't even get the cabinet in because a couple of the tile edges were cut a little crooked.  They needed a sander, but they left their sander at home.  Bill didn't have an electric sander for them to use so they are coming back tomorrow.  They did get the hinges and knob on the cabinet and it looks beautiful.  I will be up and ready super early tomorrow.  It should be their last day!  After they left, I ate and then went and picked up Melissa.  We listened to some worship music and then went through some old pictures.  So much fun doing that.  We used to always do that with my mom when we had printed pictures.  What a great memory.  We ate meatloaf sandwiches for lunch and then I took her home, so she would be home if Vikki stopped over after work.  I came home and shampooed the living room and our bedroom carpet.  Love having clean carpets once again and having all the powdery white dust gone.  It sure cleaned up great.  So thankful to have my own shampooer.  Ate dinner and then we went to Community Village to help the residents with Bingo.  So much fun for us and for them.  Wes, Gayla, Luis, Eva, Mark, Bill and I were there from Faith Riders.  Came home and Kevin Beemer came over to take to Bill about joining CMA.  He stayed for quite a long time.  I watched a Hallmark Movie.  Melissa just showed me Hailey and Mia's text to each other.  Mia was testing Hailey to pray for her dad because he was in an accident.  She wanted Hailey to face time her but Hailey was at a game and couldn't and when the game was done Mia was at the hospital and couldn't.  Love that they know how important prayer is..  Please pray for Mia's dad.

Bill got me these microwaveable bowl holders the beginning of September.  I forgot I had them, but will be using them lots now.  You set the bowl in them and then you can get them out easily and keep them right in the bowl holders.  Easy to grab out of microwave.  They having something in them, but we can't tell was it is.

Took Melissa to therapy at 8:15. Came home and worked on putting things in the bathroom vanity.
It looks so nice and holds a lot.  Went to get Melissa at 10:30.  I just realized when I wrote this that I was 15 minutes late picking her up.  I went at 10:30 and was supposed to pick her up at 10:15. Sorry Melissa!  We got Grand Turkey Club Sandwiches at Arby's for lunch and took it to her house to eat.  Stayed for a while.  I stopped at Aldi's and got potatoes and creamer.  Worked some more on sorting stuff for the vanity.  Threw a lot of junk out that was old.  The cabinet wasn't dry so they didn't get to put it in.  They will do it tomorrow now.  Can't wait to get stuff put away in it too. Vikki and the kids came over and then Kimmy and the boys came over too.  Wyatt and Lucy came too.  It was so nice having them all here.  I sure have been missing Kimmy and those sweet boys.  We sat outside visiting for a long time.  Vikki was getting bit by mosquitos, so we came in.  The mosquitos are really bad right now.  Made pizza for kids who wanted pizza and warmed up stuffed green peppers, meatloaf, and made baked potatoes for the rest.  We tried to call Melissa to see if she wanted us to pick her up and bring her here or us come there to see her while Kimmy was here.  She was at Evan's soccer practice though.   Jacob, Adam and I played Yardzie outside after we ate.  Vikki was a great help and scorekeeper.  Jacob and I tied.  We had fun!  Sure get exercise with that game.  Peyton, Isaac, and Eli tried throwing the dice and then played on the trampoline.  Kimmy and Wyatt watched us play the game.  Bill had to leave to go to his Marine Corp. Meeting. He said they gave him a standing ovation for his monthly article he writes for their Newsletter.  The girls and kiddos left.  What a fun day it was!  Watched a Hallmark movie.

Went to breakfast, went to Melissa's, Went to Marie and Roys, Took a nap, Bill went to Marine Corp League meeting in Flint

Our sink drain and faucet are hooked up now.  Yay!

Love being able to use the sink now

Our cabinet is made, stained and will be put in tomorrow. Then the workers will be done!  YAY!

My Hailey girl had her MRI yesterday which is a routine check for her spina bifida she had when she was a baby.  She got a great report!  Her neurosurgeon said everything looks great and she doesn't need another MRI for three years.  I am praising and thanking the Lord!

She is so cute!
We went to breakfast and had a nice devotion and prayer time and great fellowship.  Good food too.  Wes, Gayla, Charlie, Dennis, Rich, Pat, Andy, Phyllis, Bill and I were there,  Bill had a VA appointment afterward and I went to Melissa's.  While there, I called Marie. She wasn't doing well and was in tears.  She wanted me t come there so I did. Roy was picking up her medicine from the pharmacy.  She didn't want to make him sad, but wanted me to know what she wanted to wear for her funeral if the Lord takes her home.  She had me put her earrings in the pocket.  I was sad, but did it for her.   I prayed with her, spoke the Word of God over her, put worship music on for her, and picked up food for her and Roy.  They hadn't  got out of the ER last night until 4 a.m. so they didn't get much sleep.  She hadn't taken her medicine since then either, so I had her take it and also the nausea medicine.  She was doing better and more peaceful after that.  She is such a dear friend, prayer warrior, servant of the Lord, and is so caring.  Bev and a couple of other ladies on the church prayer team with Marie were coming to pray with her, so I was happy about that.  Please keep her in prayer.  This has been going on since June.  She was diagnosed with spinal stenosis.  Can't get in to the pain clinic until October.

9/17/18..Bob came over to see what needs to be fixed in the bathroom, He had a friend come stretch our bedroom carpet to meet up with the bathroom floor. Took Melissa to therapy, Picked Royce grandkiddos up from School

Abby with a lego between her paws....She wasn't chewing it, the only thing she chewed was her paw.  It was just funny because where she plopped down was right in the legos and it looked like she was going to chew it.  Melissa and I laughed

Max, Evan drinking his shake, and Jack

A retake with Evan just holding his shake
Bill and his birthday gift from his sister Tina...Hat Pin and Yardzie Game

Hat and pins (one for me and one for bill) from Tina
Yardzee game even comes with a laminated scoresheet and dry erase marker for scoring.  Everything in a bucket.  So nice!

I touched up the bathroom wall where Bill accidentally put the whole in it when he was trying to hand the phone holder/ toilet paper holder from his sister Angie.  It took lots of coats and sanding, but finally I was able to paint it.  Gave it 2 coats and we both liked the end result.  Won't be putting it up in that spot!  I went to Melissa's early and hung out with her and Abby.  Had to get my doggie time in too!  Took Melissa to therapy to do the Lokomat and have OT.  When I got home,  Bill told me that Bob was coming to fix the bedroom entrance floor.  He had a friend come who stretched the carpet and stapled it so it meets up with the flooring.  Looks nice!.  I went to pick Melissa up.  I went back to talk to her.  She had given me a picture of her and her in patient PT.  She saw him in the hall, so I went and gave him the picture.  He looked at it and read the back.  He laughed and kept smiling, and then walked down the hallway like he did when we gave him the cookies.  Must have taken them to his office. I waited for a while for Melissa to finish and then we went for Frappe's at McDonalds.  We used a coupon.  Went to her house and hung out until it was time for me to pick up the boys from school.  I told them it was "shake" day and they were really excited.  We got their shakes and then I took them home.  I gave the bathroom another coat of paint after I stopped at Wolfeil's and got  a good small sized roller.  Glad that job is done.  I heated Vikki's chili up!  Yummy Chili for sure!
Made stuffed peppers and meatloaf to have tomorrow night.  I used all the peppers up in the garden.
We watched the news and then I read on my book.  I tried to call Kimmy.  Got Adam which was a very nice surprise.  Missing my Russell Family.  Need to go have "Shake time" there soon.
