Monday,1/13/20...Walked 2 miles, Read, Went to Outback and did our vision for 2020

Walked 2 miles when I got up.  Read, Worshipped and prayed.  Talked to Kenzie.  She's coming tomorrow for lunch.  She has a dentist appt. first.  She was sweet and offered for her and Travis to paint my upstairs bedroom, if I had the paint.  With our trip, I don't have time to get the paint and get everything ready, but I thought it was so nice of them to offer. Read on my book I'm reading.  Had a doctor appt.  Proof read some stuff dad is writing for the Marine Corp.  Texted with Vikki a lot.  In the evening, we went to Outback and had a steak dinner.  It was delicious.  Afterward we prayed, then wrote our 2020 Vision on cards, and signed each others.  This is a tradition we have been doing for many years now.  Writing the vision and making it plain so we can run with it like the Bible says.  Took something back to Hobby Lobby and then came home.  Was excited to see that Peyton and Kody's magnetic sculpting balls came.  I sent them each a picture and they were excited about them being here too.

Got up to get ready for church and saw it was cancelled.  The parking lot is a sheet of ice Pastor said.  Messaged Lisa and told her and called Roy and Marie to let them know since they don't have internet.  I'm glad we didn't get as much ice as they said.  It turned to sleet instead so that was good.  I had been praying. We ate our delicious breakfast and then read our Bibles.  Put worship music on to worship and spent time in prayer.  I read some on my book also.  Listened to our Pastor's last week's message since I was in S.S. and also listened to Pastor Weldon's message he gave today.  Good messages!  At 5, we went to Max's birthday party.  He had his friend, Jacob, over.  We had sloppy joe's that were delicious.  The cookie cake was yummy too.  We had so much fun.  Max loved his birthday gifts.  It was nice spending time with everyone.  Love them all so much.

Saturday,1/11/20, Ice storm, high winds today

A few turkeys were passing by in this ice storm.

It was raining and freezing when we got up this morning.  Lots of water everywhere, and ice all over.  Bill went to get a splitter for our antenna.  He said the roads weren't too bad.  I just hibernated all day!  Didn't go outside once.  Reading the Book, Knowing God, so spent time doing that.  Ate leftover nachos for lunch and dinner.  I made sure everything was charged last night just in case the power goes out.  It was kind of nice having a quiet relaxing day.  We watched the movie, I can Only Imagine.

Friday, 1/10/20...Did laundry, cleaned kernel burner, made dinner for our friends

Amber, Amy, Dennis, Dennis Watkins and Bill...getting ready to play horse collar and 3-13

I got up at 5:30 so I could read my Bible early.  Got ready and walked 2 1/2 miles.  Feels good to be back at it.  I vacuumed out and cleaned the kernel burner today.  I wanted to make sure it was all set and giving out great heat if we get the ice storm they say we are going to get.  Such a messy job.  I'm glad I have a headlamp.  Sure helps to see.  Bill always carries the pellets in and dumps them, so I clean it out when it needs it for him.  Not easy for him to do with knee replacements.  When Adam texted me, I was ahead of him for once.  Kimmy beat me though.  I have 15,000 and she was at 16,000.  I'm just happy to be getting steps again and closing all the circles on my Apple Activity page.  Adam said he's had 9 wins on Ticket to Ride now.  Eli had a win the other night.  I'm happy they are having so much fun.  I made chicken soft tacos and also beef tacos.  Had all the fixings to go on them.  Dennis Watkins got here first, then Amy and Amber came and then Dennis came when he got out of work.  Everyone loved the food. It was the first time I made chicken tacos.  I will be making them more they were so good.  Vikki told me how to make them because I always love hers.  We had fun playing games.  I lost bad at both of them, but we sure had lots of laughs.  They are such sweet friends. We had a fun snowball fight after we played cards.  We sure got our exercise and had fun.  We are getting lots of use out of those snowballs from the Royce grandchildren.   Bill helped me clean up everything after they all left.

Thurs., 1/9/20...Spectrum guy came, Melissa and I dropped of box to UPS, Went to lunch at Culvers, went to Denny's for our CMA meeting

Did my morning routine.  The Spectrum guy got here at 8:30 and hooked our internet back up.  They accidentally cancelled it when we canceled our Spectrum Streaming.  He hooked up our antenna, but neither tv is working.  Bill is trying to fix it.  I called Melissa to see if she wanted to go with me to drop off the box to Spectrum and then to lunch.  I picked her up and when we got to Spectrum, she mentioned how her therapist always laughed at the long line of people out the door at Spectrum and how slow it moved.  I thought, good I don't see any line.  Well just about every seat in that big place was filled with people waiting.  The girl was very nice and told me right away that I could go to UPS and drop it off and not have to wait in line.  We went to UPS and I went into customer service, but they sent me to the UPS by Dunhams.  The guy there was so nice and took care of me right away with no waiting.  We went to Culver's and ate and then I made out my grocery list for Jacks.  I am making chicken and also beef tacos for Dennis, Amy, Dennis Watkins, and Amber when they come over Friday.  Melissa was a great help with the list.  We went and shopped and then I took her home.
We went to our Faith Riders Chapter Meeting. It was our first time in the back room at Denny's.  There were 26 people there and the food was delicious with a great selection.  Kevin did a great job as the new president.  Bill gave input as State rep now.

Wed., 1/8/20...Read through some old journals of mine, taught kids at church in the evening

Very cold and windy day.  Walked 2 1/2 miles in the morning.  After reading the Bible, I cleaned the rooms and put away all the Christmas tubs and wrapping paper.  Nice to have that done.  In the evening, I taught my kids class at church. They were so good and it was a great lesson on the armor of God.  The kids each made a shield of Faith.  So much fun.  They are cute, because they don't want to go home when their parents come to pick them up.

Oh no....my very favorite slippers are wearing out.  I wear them all the time so I'm surprised they lasted this long.  I will be ordering a new pair for sure!

My kids with their shields.  They turned out so cute!

Tues., 1/7/20, Went to our breakfast, Went to Melissa's to visit her, Had small group tonight

We went to our breakfast. I went to visit Melissa afterward.  We had a nice visit and she showed me where she hung her metal flower wall decor I got her for Christmas.  It looks beautiful.  She also got a beautiful wall hanging from Bruce's mom and hung it in her kitchen by the table.  It looks beautiful too.  I left there and went to check and see if Kroger still had the game Ticket to Ride for half off.  They didn't.  Bummer.  I will have to keep checking.  I was going to pick one up for each of the girls and their family.  I was happy to see they are working on the stoplights by Melissa's.  They are putting one where her road comes out and also looks like they may be putting turn arrows up at the lights that were already up by the other road.  Yay!  Got home and Gene was over, and put a light in where we go down the basement steps.  He also put a light in by the back door.  There has always been a switch there that didn't work.  Come to find out, they had the wire tucked in and ready for him to hook up.  It goes off at dawn and comes on at dusk, or we can just turn it off.  Very nice! Cancelled spectrum today.  Not any channels I want to watch anymore.  Had 13 here for small group tonight.  We just had a meet and share testimony night and went over guidelines.  So touching to hear what God has done in their lives. We all prayed for Rich who will be having cancer surgery on the 15th.  God has already done so many miracles for him!   Eli texted me and told me he won at Ticket to Ride.  Way to go Elijah.  I texted him back quick while group was going on because I was so happy to hear from him.
