Sat., 10/30/21, Made banana pudding dessert, went to Kingston to deliver Run for the Son packets, beautiful fall colors

Beautiful color on our ride to Kingston today.  Better than any that we've seen up north this year!

I got up early and put my banana cream dessert together.  I had made the pudding last night.
We did our morning reading, drank our coffee, then left at 10 to go to deliver some Run For The Son packets off for the Sandusky Chapter.  We went to the Amish store while we were in Sandusky.  It's always fun to walk through and we usually find great deals.  Their meat is amazing, so we took a cooler and picked up some.  Their sliced turkey lunchmeat is delicious too.  We got some Molasses cookies too.  A pack for Charlie and a pack for me.  Bill doesn't like them.  They are the best!  We picked up Granny Smith apples for us and Kimmy.  We came home and had caramel apples.  YUM!  Don sent me his article for the newsletter, so I finished that and sent it to all the officers for review.  Relaxed and read my book for our church Bible Study.  It is very good.  Worked on the workbook for it too.  I teach Sunday School tomorrow, so I went over the lesson for that.  Texted with Adam.  His team is the top team in the league now.  He scored a goal from far away Kimmy told me.  She said it was very muddy.  Talked to Melissa.  They came to get their table the need to use tomorrow from their camper.  She called me, but we were a half hour away, so we didn't get to see them.  Texted with Vikki today.

Friday, 10/29/21, Worked on Newsletter, went to Vikki's

Isaac and Peyton eating their pizza.  Notice Peyton's friends by her.  She loves dolls.

This is the most delicious pizza ever!

Vikki made our pizza
Rody made these amazing breadsticks.  He used to work at a pizza place and hasn't forgotten the technique

We slept in until after 8.  We are still a little off from the time change in Arkansas.  It sure felt good sleeping in.   Had our oatmeal, coffee and Bible time.  It was a rainy day all day today.  I hibernated pretty much all day.  Worked on the Faith Riders Newsletter.  I'm waiting for one more article to come, then it will be done.  Lots of pictures to put in it this time.  Bill worked on cleaning some in his shed while I did the newsletter.  I made Kimmy chili for when we go to Bruce and Melissa's Sunday.  I will be gone tomorrow so made it now and will put it in the crockpot on Sunday.  I went to Vikki's to take some receipts for her to scan and she was so excited that I was coming and could try some of their pizza.  She is always so generous.  I love that about her.  I had already eaten nachos with Bill, so only tried a small piece, but I have to say it was the best ever!  YUM!  The breadsticks Rody made were super delicious too.  Thanks Vikki and Rody for sharing.  Thanks Peyton and Isaac for those super good hugs.  You are so loving and sweet.  I picked up some Nilla Wafers for a dessert I am making, then went and got Concrete Mixers Bill wanted me to get.  Now I am totally stuffed.  Bought some yarn and am going to start making dish cloths.  My supply is getting low, so need to start building it back up.  Still raining tonight.

Thurs., 10/28/21, Went to the dentist, went grocery shopping, went to funeral home to pay respects for Wally, Attended our Christmas Eve Service which was prerecorded tonight

Beautiful sunrise.  Usually pictures don't show it like it really is, but today my camera captured it perfectly.  I saw it through the bedroom window upstairs and ran down to go outside and take a picture.  The heavens and earth decade the glory of the Lord!

Evan, Jack and Max when we gave them their long licorice.  Evan has a donut with sprinkles pillow on his head lol.

Some beautiful color in Frankenmuth

Went to the dentist at 8:40.  Had to call when I got there, then the receptionist had me wear a mask in, she met me at the door and took my temperature.  I hadn't been at the dentist since 2019.  I had a new dental hygienist and she was very nice and did a great job.  The dentist is always super kind.  I am glad they are being safe and I could get a cleaning.  One start of a tiny cavity that will be taken care of next week.  I got groceries after I was done at the dentist.  All three stores weren't busy at all.  We took the Royce family their licorice on our way to Frankenmuth.  The boys were super happy about it.  They were so cute.  After that, we left to go pay our respects at the funeral home for Hilga's husband Wally.  Came home and ate Nacho's, then got ready and went to Apple Mountain for our church's Christmas Eve Pre recording of the service.  Rody was there helping film it.  It was an amazing service and message.  Wonderful Christmas hymns.  Cider and donuts were served afterward outside.  It was a little chili out but not to bad.  It was 57 for a high today, so our house was nice and toasty.  We turned the kernel burner off and will restart it if it gets cold in here again.  Texted with Adam, talked with Kimmy, Vikki and Melissa.  The funny of the day was when, we left the funeral home, and I asked Bill if we could stop at McDonalds and get me an iced tea.  We were driving on the road parallel to McDonalds, and saw a building we both though was Tim Hortons.  We decided to get Bill a coffee and me and Ice Capp from there.  We ordered and Bill told me he and Charlie were there this morning.  I told him it sure looked like a big Tim Horton's.  Two places to pay for orders instead of one.  Then Bill went to pay with his Tim Horton's card.  They said he couldn't use it there and he said a Coldstone Card was supposed to work.  The guy told us we were at Burger King.  We both had a good laugh over that.  My Iced coffee was delicious though.

Got back on the treadmill today and walked 1 1/2 miles.  Played good worship music while I walked.  Had my coffee and did my reading.  Bill had to go to the VA for his dentist appt. and he had to go early to get a Covid test first.  I did laundry and cleaned the bathroom.  Worked on reading my book for class tonight at church and then did the lesson.  It was a long one, but very good.  My sister Brenda texted me and told me my niece, Sara Ann, is feeling better and done quarantining now.  Still is weak though.  Another friend, Gayle, was taken to the ER after having Covid for a while, and was admitted.  She is starting to feel better.  Praying for her to be healed quickly.  I went to class and it was very good.  Bill had the porch lights on for me when I got home.  Jacob thanked me for the long licorice, then sent me a picture of his new mustache.  Adam sent me a picture of his kitty catching a mouse.  Texted with Hailey today too.  Talked to all the girls.

Tues.,10/26/21, Bill had Rehab Evaluation, did yard work, went to Vikki's, went to Eli's concert

We've had lots of rain which means my plants are still doing good even though we were gone for 9 days

The yard isn't doing as good...too much rain for it.  My little garden is too wet to even go in with muck boots and weed.  Bill tried to mow the lawn, but too wet for that too as you can see.  He was able to do the front yard though.

Nice fall colors in my mirror on my way to Vikki's

Bill got up early and went to the VA for a rehab evaluation and to have a blood test.  I had my coffee and oatmeal, then did my morning reading and played worship music.  I talked to Kimmy for a while and caught up with her.  I have sure missed her.  Bill called to let me know he forgot to take the garbage out.  I took it out for him.  There wasn't much, because we have been gone.  It was sunny and nice out, 50 degrees, so I cut down some plants and trimmed some small shrubs.  Filled two trash cans.  I got one out in time for it to be picked up.  The other will have to go next week.  Took the coffee pot I got out to the camper.  Put a couple of other things out there too.  Cleaned and washed the inside of the truck from our trip.  Vikki called and wanted me to come for potatoes and carrots left over from the roast meal she made.  She knows I love them.  There was some really pretty color on the way there.  I was happy to see Peyton and Isaac again.  Vikki has been getting compliments from their teacher and others about what nice kids they are and how well mannered.  I sure am proud of them.  I came home and made Bill a sirloin burger,  air roasted potatoes, and freezer corn from the garden.  We went to Eli's band concert.  He did great and looked so handsome.  It was our first time in the new auditorium and boy was it nice and the seats were so comfortable.  I talked to Melissa on the way home and then she called me back when I got home.  I sure have missed her.  I missed all my family and sure am happy to be able to spend time with them.

Got up early, showered, got ready, read Bible, then we went to breakfast.  It was and amazing breakfast and the breakfast area was beautiful!  The manager came and talked to us for a while, and was so nice.  She said if we like this hotel, we should stay at the one in Frankenmuth.  It’s the nicest she said.  I saw that my niece Sara Ann had commented on my Facebook posts, so I messaged her.  Her headaches aren’t near as bad and she said she feels like she’s turned the corner now.  She was thanking God and grateful for all the prayers.  I am thanking God too!  Thanks to anyone who prayed!  We listened to great worship music as we drove!  It started raining when we got close to Toledo.  Got into Michigan at 11:30. Stopped at Cabelas in Dundee. Colors were beautiful even in the rain.  We got home and Bill was taking the motorcycle off the trailer, when Isaac came around the corner, then Peyton, then Vikki.  What a great surprise.  It made our day!  They helped us unload all of our stuff from the truck.  Wow! What a blessing.  They stayed for just a short time, because Peyton had a birthday party and had to go home and get her homework done, before she went to it.  We ordered pizza's for dinner because the refrigerator is empty.  I ordered a no cheese for Bill and a 3 item with cheese for me.  When I got there to pick them up, the girl told me they made a mistake and made one with burger, cheese and no sauce by mistake, but had the new one made right too.  She gave me the other pizza they made the mistake on for nothing.  I added sauce to it and baked it more when I got home, then put it in the freezer.  I can't wait to make a homemade meal tomorrow.  Restaurants are good, but there's nothing like homemade.  Vikki tried her new Bissell Proheat shampooer and loved it.  I knew she would.  Isaac read the instructions and put the whole thing together for her.  He’s an amazing helper.  Vikki faceTimed me and let Isaac video her while she used her shampooer so I could see it clean.  It’s amazing how well it cleans the carpet.  I listened to some of the Changing of the Colors Rally that was live streamed. I also listened to Crossing's Church in Mena.  The couple who did the song, I Speak Jesus, at the rally lead worship there, and I wanted to see if they had sung it in a worship service at church.  Didn't find that song, but was blessed to hear them sing Maverick City, Brandon Lake, and Dante Bowe songs for their worship service.   So good!  Bill went to an Elders Meeting at 6:30 and got home at 9:45.  Thankful for him and the other Elders who seek the Lord and oversee our church.  We got a letter from, Frank, our new child we sponsor.  He sounds so sweet and caring.  He said he is a good boy who likes to carry water home and eat Irish potatoes.  He likes playing ballgames.  He wants us to pray he does well in class, and he will be praying for us.

We were on the road again by 8 a.m.  No breakfast at our hotel and Bill wanted to get started on our trip, so we ate Granola bars, cookies, pretzels and donuts and drank coffee and water.  Not the healthiest, but we did get full.  We drove til we got to the Ark Encounter at around 2.  We got on the bus that drove us up to the Ark.  We watched a presentation on how they came about thinking of building the Ark and how they built it.  It was such a God thing and God brought everything together to do it.  There were some Amish builders that we very skilled with building with wood and they headed up the construction.  What hearts for the Lord the people working on it all had.  It was amazing to see and amazing walking through it again.  We went there the year after it was built on our motorcycle with Faith Riders.  We left there around 4:30. We FaceTimed with Vikki for quite a while.  Then we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for dinner.  We went a little farther and stopped for the night at a Druiry Inn for the night. Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and very nice room. The nicest people here too
