Sat. 8/31/24, Bible Study, bake sale, ride to Akron, goodies, potluck, Isaac came to give testimony, potluck, service,

Went to Bible Study at 7:20. Jane taught it today. It was on the words we speak and was a good study. Came back to the camper and had breakfast and coffee. Bill went to prayer. I took my baked goods and my chair and went to help Bev with the Bake sale. It was a perfect day for it since it was a cooler day and we were in the shade. We made $280. What was left over was to be auctioned off later. Bev and I stayed at it til 1 when the bike blessing was starting. Julie and Bev F. Took over for us. After the bike blessing, about 52 motorcycles lined up to go on a group ride to Akron to a secular event. We’ve done this for 2 years. Many in our group had opportunities to share Jesus or pray for people. Bubba and Debbie had a booth there. She is a person a lot of us were praying for and she’s healed of cancer. We came back to the camper and Isaac, Yolanda and their grandson were here. Isaac is sharing his testimony tonight in the service. We visited, then went to Trinity Riders potluck. I took chicken fried rice. We had fun and sat with Paul and Debbie. We went to pre service prayer, then into the service. Isaac’s testimony was so good and brought me to tears. Jays message was really good and Bill did a great job introducing the speakers, special singer, etc. We played 3-13 afterwards. I lost by 3 and we were both negative. We went over our Bible Studies, and wrote out the Scriptures to pass out for people to read. Bill is leading the men’s Bible study tomorrow and I am leading the ladies. Went to Bible Study at 7:20. Hailey and Mia...these girls came prepared and had their Bibles and notebooks.  They took notes during the message and the classes everyday.  We had lots of good Bible discussions with Hailey.  She knows the Word of God and she stands firm in her faith.  What a blessing to have her camp the whole week with us.  So good to see Mia there too.

Woke up early so got up and got ready.  Texted with Adam.  Went outside to read devotional book and Bible. Evan got up and came to talk to me in the clam.  Vikki came outside,  then we all went in to eat.  Hailey came back in the morning for class. She went home last night so she could go to here Bible Study.   We all went to the Bible Study in the tabernacle to hear Pastor Ken Nash.  Hailey, Mia, me, Vikki and Bill sat together.  It was a great message.  We had yummy cookies and coffee, then went to the Patton Lodge for or class on family.  It was really good too!  We came back and  Vikki and I went to Taco Bell, then went to pick up a few groceries.  We came back and Peyton, Isaac and Evan had gone to the beach with Michelle and her mom and Bridgett.  Vikki and I went to the pool and swam at the adult swim.  We came back and relaxed in our hammock’s.  Ronnie came to visit for a while Wes and Gayla were swimming at the pool.  We had a nice visit.  I made goulash for dinner.  Everybody loved it and Hailey even ate 2 bowls.  We went to worship, then Pastor Ken preached another great message.  The kids went to the point to have s’mores with everyone. Bill, Vikki and I didn’t go because there’s usually lots of mosquitoes.  We played 3-13 and also dice.  The kids all came back to the camper.

Tues. 7/30/24, Went to Bills Doctor appointment at the VA in Detroit, Day 4 at BayShore, 5k run

Bill driving us to Frankenmuth on the Trike
Pat (my cousin) and Bill at the Marine Corp. League table

Vikki, Peyton and Isaac surprised us while we were gone to Detroit and put the clam up.  So sweet of them!  Great job Team Monroe!!!
Frankenmuth was so beautiful as we rode through it on our motorcycle

New hotel in Frankenmuth is almost finished.  Large families can book it.

Bill and I got up early to get ready so we could leave at 7:30.  I made us each a coffee, then we left.  I read the chapter we are on in our prayer devotional out loud while we rode.  We split a blueberry muffin then a while later we stopped at McDonald’s and each used a code to get breakfast sandwiches.  I put on good worship music and worshipped.  The worship music was awesome!  The last half hour I played back in my seat, closed my eyes and relaxed.  We got right in for Bill’s appointment.  He got a great report.  No tumor, bone looks strong, no change from 2018 when he had the knee replacement done.  Yay.  Some calcification but they weren’t concerned about it. He needs to go back in a year.  He hasn’t had any pain since he’s gotten all the prayers.  We left and went down to the main floor to the store and walked through it.  In our way home, we stopped at Culver’s lunch.  We got back to the campground at 2:30.  Jack came in the camper calling me to say hi.  I went outside and Bruce and Jack had to leave so i hugged him.  It was hi and goodbye.  Evan stayed with us to spend the night.

Hailey and Evan ran the 5 K and did great! It was in the 80’s when they ran it! Lots of kids and adults ran.   Evan, Isaac and Peyton went swimming after that.  The had fun hanging out together all day.

We went to worship which was awesome, then the kids were dismissed to Impact and we had our message from Pastor Nash which was another amazing message.

Bill and I played 3-13, then we went to bed.  Vikki and the kids talked some more then they all went to bed.

Big highlight of the day was that Kimmy called.  We were all so happy to hear her voice and catch up some.  Sure do miss them tons!

Vikki and Paul

We ate breakfast, the we all went to our Bible Studies and classes. Bill, Hailey and Mia went into the tabernacle to hear Pastor Ken Nash, and Vikki and I went to the Paton Lodge to hear the teachings on making disciples and the another after cookies and coffee break on parenting and grandparenting God’s way. Both were very good. We girls, Vikki, Hailey, Peyton and I all went to the Dollar Store and The grocery store and got the things on our lists. It sprinkled but never rained hard and didn’t last long. We came back and all put the groceries away. The m Vikki took her nap at one end of the camper, Bill napped at the other end of the camper and Hailey Peyton and I went for a walk on the trail in the woods here. Before we got in the woods it was a high speed walk. Peyton went back after that and Hailey and I walked out to the bay and out on the dock. We walked fast again. We walked 1.4 miles. She keeps me in shape. We came back and ate lunch.Lily, one of the singers in Heartsong, doing worship for the teens, asked Peyton to go putting putt golfing with her. That made Peyton so happy. Bev and Jim came to our camper to visit. After that Bill and I took cucumbers to the table out front where people were putting free garden vegetables. We went in Barb and Ron’s camper and visited with them for a while, the stopped at Bev and Jim’s camper and visited more with them and Wes and Gayla. We came back after that and made hotdogs in the camper because our grill isn’t working. We went to the evening service then. Worship was awesome and so was the message! There was free ice cream again tonight. We sat together and ate it, then we had a time of prayer for Bev,’s hip surgery Friday, Bill for healing and a good appointment, for Bills appointment tomorrow, me of my hand surgery on August 6, and Ron for strength and strong faith for Barb’s tests for cysts on her kidneys. God is our healer!! We took our showers, and went to bed because we have to get up early tomorrow morning and go to Detroit. I texted Jacob to see if he made it home safe and he did. He texted me back right away. Then Adam texted me goodnight. The train came and did it’s usual back and forth right out our window.  It didn’t clank as much as it used too.  We used to be on the other end of the camper in our fifth wheel.  It rained for a short time but not hard.
