10/19/07

As you can see I am very behind on my pictures. We had a great time watching Hailey and Jacob bowl. It was so much fun and such happy faces. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
There are beginning to end pictures of the trees (10 of them) we had taken down. I know what you are all thinking. Jared would have eventually knocked them down for us. We just never knew what direction he would knock them, so decided to hire it done. The kids (big and little) had fun on all the stumps and Kenzie could reach the tree branches easily from the stumps so had fun in the tree. The picture of dad is from our camping trip. He was relaxing in the 5th wheel. We had such a nice time with him and with the many friends that went with us. We are blessed!!!
I was going to put a picture I took of Vikki and Rody, and Kimmy and Jared at their birthday breakfast, but wouldn't ya know it, Vikki and Kimmy both had their eyes closed. Such twins huh!!!

10/18/07

30 years ago today was one of the happiest days of my life...HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMMY AND VIKKI. I LOVE YOU!!! I loved having breakfast with you all, and it was so nice that Greg and Breanna were able to be there. I was so happy to see them. What a sweetie Greg was to buy all our breakfasts. A big thankyou to him. Too bad dad had to be working and unable to make it. He always loved taking you out on your birthday. I don't know how it happened but Kimmy and Vikki passed me. I am only 29.
Miracles do happen.

I have a lot of pictures on my camera and hopefully will get to put them on tomorrow.
Life has been busy with our trip to Petosky, packing and unpacking 5th wheel etc.
I will be putting on pictures of the trees we had taken down. Jared loved backing into them, so since he loosened them, we decided to remove them. We like to help Jared keep his car as dent free as possible. All clear by the shed now Jared. Please don't back into the shed though. Hopefully its big enough for you to see. HA HA!!!

10/9/07

Another busy day today. Got the house ready for Bible Study. Made dinner for dad, then went and dropped it off before I picked Kenzie up from school. We headed over to Melissa's and I picked up Max to bring home with me. Kenzie stayed with Melissa and Hailey to have some fun and help Aunt Missy if needed. Melissa was doing so much better today even than yesterday. I am so happy to see her getting around better now. I say a big thank you Lord!!! When we got home Max played with his cars for a while, then I put him in his high chair so he could eat. He did a good job, although when I gave him his dessert (cookies with chocolate to dip them in) he sure changed colors. His face was covered from his chin half way up. He sure had fun though. We had someone bring a friend to Bible Study and she asked him for a hug. He went halfway and decided not to. Then Papa asked for a hug and he gave him one right away. After that he ran up to the lady and gave her a big hug. A few minutes later, he gave her his favorite stuffed elephant to hold. He was so cute.
He played with his cars while we had testimony time and was such a good boy. When it got to be his bedtime, I tucked him in and he went right to sleep. I left after Bible Study was over to pick up Kenzie. We will take Max to our breakfast with us
then will take him home and pick up Hailey. Kimmy and I are taking Hailey and Jacob bowling tomorrow. Should be lots of fun.

10/8/07

These are two pictures Kimmy took of Hailey and I at church. Everyone thought it was so cute that we dressed alike. However, we didn't plan it. It was nice having Kimmy, Jared and boys at church today. We were glad they came to visit. It was nice having all the grandkids in the same row. We got many compliments on them of course. After church, we went to Aunt Milda's 80th birthday party. Very good food there so we were stuffed when we left. After that we were on our way to an Elder's training session at church again. They had subs there for us. Talk about eating good. We sure did. The picture of Mocha was taken by Kenzie. At first Mocha would sleep behind the orange bed grandpa gave her. After a day or so, she moved into the bed and now I have to drag her out of it in the morning to go outside potty. I'm at Melissa's right now. She is doing so much better today it is amazing. I am very thankful. We just ate Coney dogs for supper. Yummy. They were from our favorite coney place.

10/6/07

Well, I don't have time to put pictures on, but Kimmy has great pictures on her blog so click on her name to see them. Today was really busy. 114 of us met at church and put on our tee shirts on and went to clean up some city blocks. Lots of work to be done by some very hard workers.
Bill and I felt bad that we could only help for 20 min. then we were off to his cousin's funeral.
He was 59 and died from Parkinsons. Very sad because of the loss, but joyful because he trusted Jesus as his Lord and Savior so we know where he is. After we left there, we stopped back to finish helping the church crew. Then we were off to our last ride of the year for our motorcycle group. The ride was nice, but there were two accidents. One guy didn't stay focused and missed a curve. Praise God he was just scraped up and not much damage to the bike. If he would have flown over or under the guard rail it would have been bad as there was complete drop way down on the other side of the guard rail. The other accident happened when one motorcycle about 10 bikes ahead of us hit another motorcycle. No one hurt again, but lots of damage to both bikes. We are thankful for God's protection over them and all of the rest of us.
It could have been so much worse. We came home and went to visit dad and then Melissa. Bruce was making two cheese cakes. He may not know how to hang laundry out, but he sure can cook and bake. What a blessing to Melissa!!! He is taking great care of her.

10/2/07 Forgot to mention...

Forgot to mention the other day I saw signs of a mouse so I set a trap. Caught a big one in the glue trap. Couldn't seem to catch him in the regular trap. This morning I got up and saw something in the dog's water dish. I thought it was a big leaf and almost picked it out until I saw the tail. A small mouse had drowned in the dog's water. Jared disposed of it for me when he brought Kenzie home. Then when he picked Kenzie up after he got out of work, he saw a mouse in the bathroom and stomped him to death. Jared is irreplaceable that's for sure. Thank you Jared. You can do the mouse stomp here anytime. You're amazing!!!

Haven't blogged for a couple of days so have lots of pictures I've been storing on my camera to post. I've been keeping Melissa company and helping with the kids while Melissa takes it easy and recovers from her surgery. She was much better today re the headaches, but still has the swelling and drainage. I will be so glad when that clears up and she's back to normal. Anything to do with the spinal cord makes me nervous. I was glad she went to the doctor today for him to check on it and he thinks all is well and whe will be better soon. Thank you Jesus!!!!
We have had nice visits and many good videos to watch. Hailey and Max have been very good! Hailey did want to know for sure that her mom was just going for a check up and she would be right home. She asked me about it a few times. She is so grown up at times and she sure prays some great prayers and always volunteers to be the one to pray. She is so cute. Max always adds a loud amen at the end of her prayer.
The picture of Max with the funny look on his face is the one I took when Melissa told him to make his happy face...He sure don't look happy to me. Hailey helped me cook dinner. She put the french fries on the baking sheet and did a great job.

Jared and Kimmy had fun with the kids in the leaves. They always make fall a special time for the kids. They found a huge beehive up in the tree by the house. I've never seen such a big one. Yikes...I will keep my distance.
Tonight Jared picked Kenzie and Mocha (our dog) up to go to their house and spend the night. Kimmy groomed Mocha with her new clippers and did a wonderful job. I put a picture on that I took from Kenzie's blog because I thought it was so cute.
Kimmy does better than the professional groomers. I am thankful she is so good at all the different things she tries. Kenzie loves going there to spend the night. There are so many fun things for her to do and she loves Uncle Jared and Aunt Kimmy to pieces. I wish I would have had an aunt and uncle like that when I was growing up. My mom was an only child so I missed out in that area.
