Got up early, did my reading and praying.  Really praying for the Christians and innocent people in Afghanistan, and the people of Haiti.  Very sad!  Left the campground early and got to the fair at 8:30.  Found where Kimmy and family were!  The boys were walking their sheep and practicing.  Jacob’s sheep was not cooperating. I was praying for Jacob not to get frustrated and for him to do good, and also prayed for his sheep to do what it was supposed to.  Jacob went out with his group and he took first place!  We were all so happy!  I sure was thanking the Lord! I knew Jacob knew how to do his part, but his sheep had to cooperate!  Adam went next and did great too. He got 4th place because the judge marked him down for his muck boots being over his jeans.  Bummer because I’m sure he would have placed first otherwise.  Eli was third to go show his sheep.  He did excellent too and won first place.  He had his muck boots under his jeans, but she did tell him he shouldn’t wear muck boots.  I loved watching them.  Adam was sad at first but it didn’t last long.  We all felt bad for him. He has gotten first place the last two years and really knows how to show his sheep.  What was funny was that in the market showing, their sheep were out right away because they aren’t muscular like Suffolk sheep.  This time they gave the entries who didn’t place First through fourth, each a first place ribbon!  Ha ha God saw to it that Adam got a first place ribbon!  We laughed over that one.  The boys were the only ones whose sheep were born in Midland on their farm.  Eli took first, Adam took second and Jacob took third for that.  I left to pick up Bill from Higher Standard Auto and brought him back to the fair.  We walked around with Kimmy and family through merchant buildings and animal barns.  We got a really nice mug and nice first aid kit they were giving away.  We went home and I took a picture of my hibiscus.  Happy I got to see the first flower opened.  Beautiful! Ate my chicken fettuccine leftovers when I got back to the campground.  We rode our bikes to the store and registered, then relaxed in our hammocks, walked around the campground, played ladder ball, and made s’mores.  Peyton started the camp fire tonight and did a great job.  It was a very fun day!

My hibiscus is just starting to bloom.  Hope it is still in blossom when I get home!

Went to prayer before church.  Worship was amazing this morning and Pastor Ken gave an awesome message.  Isaac and Yolanda came to visit our church and sat by us.  We ate at Olive Garden with them.  We picked up some pool chemicals, then went home and finished packing the last minute stuff.  Vikki and the kids came and loaded their stuff, then Papa and Isaac rode in the truck and Peyton Vikki and I rode in my car.  We got to our campsite and their was someone still in it.  They were on a bike ride so we had to wait a half hour for them to come back.  They told them they would have to leave and told us we would have a two hour wait.  Then they found us another spot with full hookup and it was a pull through. They gave us a choice of taking it or waiting for our reserved spot.  We took the other one and loved it. Later on I saw our friends Dan and Renee and their daughter Heather and her kids by the hot tub.  They would have been right next to us if we would’ve taken our reserved spot.  We swam, went in the hot tub and rode our bikes back.  Papa played some ladder all with Isaac.  I made sirloin burgers and beets for dinner and cut up potatoes and Vikki put them in foil and cooked them on the grill. We also ha homemade applesauce.  Yum! Bill headed home after dinner.  He’s got lots going on tomorrow.  We played a partial game of 3-13 with the kids.

Sat. 8/14/21, Happy 51st Birthday to Joel! Packed the camper, Bill went to Colonsville on the motorcycle, Went to Naomi's graduation party

I moved my plants under the pergola today so they still get rain, but on the hot sun while we are on our camping trip

Bill bought this little granite cutting board for me today at the motorcycle event
Found this coffee pot for the camper today that is a space saver, brews a 10 cup pot, also brews pods in 6 oz., 8 oz., and 12 oz. size.  We tried it and it is fast and works great on all settings.  We had gone to a small one mug at a time brewer, but it takes too long for more that 3 people.  Another thing I was looking for was a metal insulated carafe.  Yay!

Bill left for a motorcycle event in Colonsville.  He went with some friends from Trinity Riders and Jim from the Flint chapter.  I did some laundry and packed the camper.  I talked to Kimmy.  When Bill got home we called Joel and sang Happy Birthday to him and wished him a happy birthday.  Bill rested for a while, then we went to Naomi's graduation party.  It was in their backyard and was so nice.  Adam sat with me and ate.  He is such a nice kid.  Bill was standing behind me talking to Jack after he finished eating.  Talked to Katelyn, her mom and sister for a long time.   We stopped at two stores to look for chlorine tablets, but there were none to be found.  I had looked at Meijer this morning when I got my groceries too, but there weren't any.  We are checking at the pool place after church tomorrow.  I have liquid, but wanted some tablets.  Kimmy has some small ones for me when I see her.  We came home and I packed some more refrigerator stuff.  Did my reading in the evening.  Texted with Adam, Hailey and Melissa today.

Fri., 8/13/21, Cleaned stuff out of closet I don't want, shredded zucchini from the garden and froze it, went to car show at Garber's, swam, watched movie with Bill

This collapsible Rody gave me hooks over a drawer and then you peel over it.  It works so great!  Thank you Rody!
When it got full, I just took it out and dumped it on the garden and sprayed it out.  So easy

Fixed coffee and oatmeal for us for breakfast.  Read my Bible outside on this beautiful morning and spent time praying.  Bill read inside.  Did some laundry, and cleaned out stuff from my closet I no longer want and packed it up to donate.  Put some oil on our camp chairs and they fold and unfold great now.  Peeled and shredded zucchini then cut up peppers and put them in the freezer.  In the afternoon we went to the Car show at Garber's.  There were so many cars.  We saw Sherry Starke M and her hubby, Dale Honold, Carol Bates, Jeff Ralph, Joaquine, Angie Moore's mom and stepdad and a few guys Bill used to work with.  We came home and had cabbage soup, then I went swimming, and then Bill and I watched a good movie and snacked on cashews and M&M's.

Thurs, 8/12/21, Jacob and Adam ate breakfast, then Kimmy, Vikki and the kids came over and we all went to BayShore to spend the day with Melissa and family.

Jacob and Adam got up around 8.  I got up at 8:15 and we all ate breakfast.  Then Melissa called and wanted us to come spend the day at BayShore with them.  I called Kimmy and she headed here right away, then I called Vikki and she came right away too.  I packed us all sandwiches, some snacks and pop.  We filled our water jugs too.  Kimmy drove her van and Vikki and the kids rode with her.  Jacob and I went in my car.  We had fun listening to K'Love and singing.  When we got to BayShore, the kids played Gaga Ball right away.  Then we sat and visited with Bruce, Melissa, Max and Evan for a while at their campsite.  We all ate our lunch while we sat there.  The pool opened shortly after that, so we all went swimming.  The swim ended at 3:30, then laser tag started at 4, so we changed and got ready to go watch the kids play that.  It was so much fun watching them.  The kids played about 3 sessions.  Bruce played with them the last time.  Melissa, Vikki, Kimmy and I walked out on Roberta's walk.  The sun went under and there was a breeze so it was really nice.  We walked around and showed Kimmy the cottages, then went back to Melissa's to sit and relax again.  Bruce ordered and treated us all to pizzas which was so nice of him.  It sure was yummy.  He got cinnamon rolls too.  We visited for a little while longer, then headed home. We stopped at McDonalds and Jacob got a pop and I got an ice tea.  Vikki got ice tea and the rest got waters.  Jacob rode with me until we got to Tim Horton's in Bay City.  Then he went with his mom, and Vikki and the kids came with me.  We were almost to my house when Bill called to tell me the Faith Rider's meeting was over and they were going to Mooney's and he wanted to see if I wanted to meet them.  I did and it was yummy and fun visiting with everyone outside!  Pat from church and her friend were there, and so was Rachael and Mikayla from church.  Wes, Gayla, Bill, Sabrina, Don, Ron, Barb, Bill and I all came.  Everyone at Faith Riders gave me a beautiful card signed by everyone and a $75 gift card to Olive Garden to bless me for doing the Newsletter.  Such a sweet surprise, but I sure didn't want anything for doing the newsletter.
