I am way behind with blogging. I am just now putting pictures from Kenzie'
s birthday on. Have more to put on later too. I thought the pictures of Jacob and Max eating nanas at Nana's was cute. For some reason they love bananas at Nana's.
My very favorite is the boys in their coats and hats. Kimmy took it and did a great job. I also love the ones of Kenzie and Truman. They were having so much fun.
The neighbor girl came over and they all just ran and played for a long time. I was glad to see Truman getting exercise. He sure loves Kenzie. He is always excited to see her. She is spending lots of time with him. He is doing great and is the best dog ever. I can't believe how obedient he is. Hope he rubs off on Mocha when it comes to coming when called. Well, Bill has to do a funeral tomorrow and I have to type it yet tonight so have to make this short. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone if I don't get on tomorrow. Love to all!!!

November 3, 2007

Nice day out today, but windy. We went to help load groceries for people at a local department store for our outflow at church. Mostly ended up greeting people and handing them carts as most wanted to load their own groceries. That's how I would be too. Met some very nice people. Bill helped out with the plumbing in Bruce and Melissa's kitchen most of the day, other than helping with the outflow outreach. I went to dad's and he had cut down all of his corn stalks. He had 2 huge rows. He had me help cut down stuff yesterday and sweep the leaves up. Should have had me to the corn too. At 91 I am amazed at all he tries to get done. He knows he has many willing helpers in the family if he just lets us know. He was pretty proud of himself when he showed me what he had done though. I was proud of him too, just don't want him overdoing. Bill got home and we went shopping. Got some good sales on Christmas items, especially clothes for the kiddos. We stopped at for ice cream when we were done. It was very yummy. Vikki stopped over to show us the violin she had gotten for Kenzie. Kenzie played it and it sounded very nice. If her teacher says she can use this one, it will save Vikki lots of rental money. God's blessing!
Watched very cute videos of Kenzie when she was little. We laughed so hard. She was sooooooooo cute!!! She lost a tooth today and was pretty happy it was out.
I put lots of pictures on tonight as I was quite behind. I was happy I had some of Aunt Vikki with the kids. She has always been the best aunt to them ever!!! We are always happy to see her.

Off to school to take Kenzie, then I got some stuff done around the house I've been wanting to get done. Bill came home for lunch which I always enjoy. God is blessing him on his job and I'm so happy to see him enjoy it so. Took dad to his audiologist and they have to send his squealing hearing aid in to be repaired.
The audiologist is very nice and always shows us pictures of her little guy who's 18 mos. After that we left to pick Kenzie up from school. Went back to grandpas and then home. We were just going to head for a coney dog when we got a call from Melissa and she and Bruce wanted to take us out to eat. We went to a nice restaurant and then for a cookie at the Apple Farm. I was too full for a cookie needless to say, but the kids were sure excited. Thanks very much Bruce and Melissa!
We all had a fun time and the food was delicious.

10/31/07

Started the day off with our breakfast group. We've been meeting for 7 yrs. now and always enjoy getting together. Came home and made butterhorns which is a family favorite. Bill came home for lunch. I enjoy having him come home for lunch. He gets to quite often now that he has the Chaplain's job. He is really enjoying it and says it is really fulfilling. I am happy for him and very proud of him and how he loves working for the Lord.
Kimmy came and brought the boys so they could get a nap in before trick or treating. I watched them while she ran some butterhorns to my dad and then went to the store to get some video tapes. We were all meeting at Kenzie's Omi's and Poppi's house at 5:30. They always have us over to go trick or treating in their neighborhood and then they have delicious chili, homemade bread, and other good stuff for us to eat.
We had so much fun. They are wonderful and very loving people. We are thankful they are part of our family. The kids were all as cute as could be as you can see from the pictures. Jacob, who didn't want to go trick or treating (he would always say, No, please) found out after the first house that he loved trick or treating.
They were all so cute and they said trick or treat really loud. They had lots of fun. It was misting just a little when we started, but when we were almost done, it started pouring. We all ran for the house, but were soaked by the time we got there. Omi had the towels ready for us and poppi was just getting ready to come find us with the car. Their new baby granddaughter was there too, so we got to see her for the first time. She is beautiful and such a good baby. Such an enjoyable evening.

Last night was missionary night at church. Each caregroup from church is assigned a missionary to pray for. Our group's missionaries are from Peru. Each caregroup had to prepare a table with pictures, items and food from the country of their missionary. We made Peruvian Sweet Potatoes, Potato pancakes and peanut butter salsa. It was yummy. We all walked from table to table to sample the food from all the countries. There were about 12 stations. Most of the food was delicious although some even I couldn't eat and I'm no fussy. Bill, however, only sampled a couple of rice dishes until he came to the USA. They had hotdogs and chips so that was his favorite table. We all met in the fellowship hall afterwards for cake and refreshments while our missionaries from China shared. It was very moving to hear how so many are risking their lives to spread the Gospel. Very fun and interesting evening.
Today I went to church early to get ready for my Sunday School class. Melissa dropped Hailey off before the service started as she couldn't come because Max is still a little sick. Mykenzie sang with her class and did an awesome job. They had to do many movements with the song too. Kenzie's Omi and Poppi came to church to see her too. They are the nicest people. Papa took Hailey to her class and she went right in with no crying. She also said her Bible verse without us having to go back and make her say it. She was such a big girl. We were happy to have her with us. After church, we went to the hospital with some friends to pray for 3 people in CCU. We left there and headed to some other friends who had invited the missionaries over and also some other people who were going to become missionaries in the same country. There were also a few other friends there. It was so interesting and enjoyable. We left there and stopped home to let Mocha outside. She was happy to see me. Bill left right away and went to get a pie to take to our neighbor, Maynard. He had invited us down for some delicious soup he made. It was the best soup I have ever tasted. We left there and Bill picked up his car from church. He headed home and I went to Melissa's and Bruce's to take some left over pie and also the Peruvian Sweet Potatoes. Bruce like sweet potatoes so I wanted him to try them. From there I went to my dad's to visit with him and my sister, Jody.
Very busy but delightful day. I need to take more pictures of the grandkids to put on. I only have pictures of Mocha and one of Kenzie. Right now Kimmy has my camera and cord for the computer and I have her camera with no cord. Kimmy, I am still amazed at how you carved the pumpkin with Lightning McQueen in it. Such detail. Can't wait to see the closeup picture of it.

10/22/07

Got up early, hoping I could catch Kimmy when she brought Jared to get his car. I missed her by about 10 minutes. I had mentioned to Kimmy that I was sleeping in this morning. (My only day to sleep past 6:10 during the week is Monday, as I don't have Kenzie then) After I thought about it I wished I wouldn't have told her I was sleeping in. She just went home after so I missed out on seeing her and the boys. Boo Hoo. Next time I will think the whole thing through before I speak. Sure was sad I didn't get to see them. I got some things done here and then headed off to mow dad's yard, sweep it and weed wack. Just got done in time to have a cabbage bun and go get Kenzie from school. Bill was off to his Chaplain job this morning. He had to go to Gladwin, so stopped to have lunch with Kimmy which was really a nice treat for both of them. He got a call that a lady passed away, so had to go back to the house to pray for the family and help comfort them. God uses him in such special ways and he is always willing to serve the Lord. He and Bruce then went to look at a car for Bill. We are getting a used car that is good on gas just for Bill to travel with so he doesn't have to take the gas guzzeling truck all the time.
He is bring it home for me to look at now. Kenzie wants me to go listen to her violin concert now...It's practice time. I enjoy that. I can't wait to be able to see Hailey and Max again. I miss them. Max sounded so awful with that cough while I was on the phone. Made my heart sad to hear him. Hailey talked to me alot on the phone and was so cute. She made my heart happy. Jacob also made my heart happy, because he wanted to come see me so much this morning.
